A quantitative analysis of this technique is outlined. The effects of optical system aberrations are discussed.

The mathematical approach utilized is that specified by Hollands and Wald in [1]. We will attempt to present the theory in this context, exhibiting the operator product expansions (OPEs) that define the theory in a follow-on paper.

The formulation is based on the work of Nikolic. Material particles are continuous fields, formed as the eigenvalue of the Schrodinger field operator, evaluated along a Bohmian trajectory.

The formalism is used to state and prove a theorem on the initial value problem. The method also works for a general, iso-vector form of the interacting system. We close with some comments on the quantum version of this problem.

S. R. Seshadri, "Cylindrical Waveguide Mode Convertor for Azimuthally Symmetric Transverse Electric Modes," IEEE Proc., Vol. 135, Pt. H, December 1988, pp. 420-425. Received 12-4-89 Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 3/3, 95-98 ABSTRACT A solution is given for refection of a plane wuve with TEM polarization from a planar surface with time valying properties. These properties are given in terms of the currents on rhe surface. The solution is obtained by numerically solving u system of differential-delay equations in the time domain.

From the electron reflection data the modulalation transfer functions for transmission secondary electron emitters are calculated.
