Transformational leadership and job satisfaction are among the topics that attract the most atten... more Transformational leadership and job satisfaction are among the topics that attract the most attention of researchers. This is due to the role that both topics play in employee performance. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of transformational leadership on job satisfaction of academic staff working in higher education institutions. Data were collected from academic staff (n=208) working in the faculties of Sport Sciences within 6 universities, in Turkey. As a data collection tool, Bass and Avolio's (2000) Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire to measure transformational leadership, and job satisfaction scale developed by Chang and Chang (2007) to measure job satisfaction, were used. Descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analyses were used as statistical analysis. The results of the analysis showed that transformational leadership had a significant and positive effect on job satisfaction ( s =.375; p<0.001). Article visualizations:

The purpose of this study was to examine exercise addiction and social appearance anxiety levels ... more The purpose of this study was to examine exercise addiction and social appearance anxiety levels of students studying at the faculty of sports sciences in terms of various variables. There were 170 participants in the study. “Personal Information Form”, “Exercise Addiction Scale” and “Social Appearance Anxiety Scale” were applied to the participants. Whether the data provided the assumption of normality was evaluated by the skewness and kurtosis test. It was decided that the values obtained as a result of the analysis provided the assumption of normality; therefore it was deemed appropriate to apply parametric tests. Frequency, percentage, t-test, One-Way ANOVA and Post Hoc (Scheffe) test statistics were used to analyze the data. As a result, it was determined that participants who regularly received sports services at least 2 days a week had low levels of general exercise addiction and social appearance anxiety. Individuals who use their leisure time effectively are regarded healthy emotionally, spiritually, mentally, socially, professionally and physically. It is aimed to examine recreation and leisure time activities in different cultures by considering the similarity or differences between the Turkish society and the leisure time activities of the societies living in different regions of the world. In this study, domestic and international recreation activities were examined and information was obtained by literature screening method.
