This is a tentative reverse engineering of the Eloquent Peasant, namely its disassembly in view o... more This is a tentative reverse engineering of the Eloquent Peasant, namely its disassembly in view of creating a possible functional model of its author’s creative process. The working idea is that of taking apart its macro and micro components, describe their inner structures and evaluate the coherence of their interactions. All this inside a playful theatrical setting.
For the moment, a preliminary approach.

not only as maxims, but as "hidden" epigrams as well, inside a sort of theatrical setting (the king's hall). That's why I called my approach "epigdramatic".

This is an essay about the “Negative Confession” of the Book of the Dead (Chapter 125B) as it is ... more This is an essay about the “Negative Confession” of the Book of the Dead (Chapter 125B) as it is written down in the papyrus of Ani. The basic aim is that of trying to find a coherent structure behind what might appear, at a cursory glance, just a sequence of casual entries forming a punctilious list of misdeeds which one must not do.
A particular care has been taken in pointing out the logic that is behind the sequence of the confessions and the linguistic means interfacing judges and faults. A logic founded, at least for the most part, on mythical criss-crossings and wordplays, as if making recourse to an ante litteram free association technique.

As far as I could check it is totally different from the other
orthodox versions, with the exception of a reduced one
in the papyrus of Anhai, so corrupted and mixed up
that defies any serious reading.

my amateurish vocal version of Sinuhe. It has two sections,
the first one focused on the narratological aspect,
the second on the political one, showing a Sinuhe
who has become an agent, no matter how indirect,
of a cynic and Machiavellean Senwosret.

A somewhat wild analysis of the three spells of Plate 17, trying to point out some subtle corresp... more A somewhat wild analysis of the three spells of Plate 17, trying to point out some subtle correspondences between texts and vignettes, plus an ingenious graphic rendering of stumbling and stuttering.
The previous plate dealt basically with the acquisition of magic powers, symbolically hinting at ... more The previous plate dealt basically with the acquisition of magic powers, symbolically hinting at self-confidence. Ani must be sure to have the proper means in order to face bravely what trials he must get through in the course of his journey towards " coming forth ". But he is still inside a psychological, personal environment. What comes next is a " plunging " into an archetypical landscape: the vision and psychic comprehension of basic patterns of behaviour. In this plate: that of " resurrection ". CHAPTER 58 Chapter 58 poses some interpretive problems both from symbolic and linguistic perspectives. The title refers to the capability of breathing air and having power upon the waters of the netherworld. Breathing may allude to the life of the newborn Ani; who must be able to sail (power on the water) on board of the solar barque that traverses the netherworld river towards the coming forth. The vignette shows Ani and Tjutju drinking water (assimilating thus its refreshing power).
