This article discusses parenting from the perspective of Al Ghazali, a prominent Muslim scholar. ... more This article discusses parenting from the perspective of Al Ghazali, a prominent Muslim scholar. The purpose of this article is to explain the principles emphasized by Al Ghazali in raising children wisely and based on Islamic values. Al Ghazali views the importance of raising children with compassion, wisdom, and religious values. Al Ghazali stressed that children are a gift and a mandate from Allah SWT which must be respected and taken care of properly. One of the principles emphasized is the importance of instilling religious and moral values in children from an early age, including ethics and noble character. In addition, Al Ghazali emphasized the importance of being exemplary in upbringing. Parents must set a good example for their children by showing behavior that is in accordance with religious values and morality. Thus, Islamic education's values will provide humans with happiness, welfare and human safety both in this world and in the afterlife. According to the Islam viewpoint, everyone must prepare themselves as well as possible to build a relationship based on love and noble values. Physical, mental, and economic preparedness is required; in this situation, in terms of the educational features inherent in Islamic teachings, the objective is to build a secure, pleasant, and tranquil home environment.

The development of teaching media in the form of a picture book of Khulafaur Rashidin material ai... more The development of teaching media in the form of a picture book of Khulafaur Rashidin material aims to increase the effectiveness of student learning outcomes. The researcher used the Research and Development method to determine the effectiveness of teaching media in a picture book of Khulafaur Rasyidin's material. Researchers used two types of data, namely quantitative data and qualitative data. The validation results from the development of this picture book have valid criteria for content experts with an average score of 4.22 in the good category, media design experts with an average score of 3.7 in good category, and subject experts with an average score of 4.1 is in a good category. And in the application of learning in the field (in class) the average pre-test score is 45.7, and the post-test average is 79.1, which, if calculated using the paired sample T-test statistic, has a t-count result of 6, 53 and has a t table result of 2.160, so the total t-score results are more ...

In the last two decades, the growing awareness of the importance of various scientific approaches in the field of Islamic Studies and attention to the problems resulting from different approaches. We can distinguish, for example, approach to philology, historical, anthropological and sociological data on religion. In each approach can be found possibilities of certain methods are more critical and applicable than other methods. The epistemology of pesantren education is a method/approach to develop education in pesantren, so that in its axiological aspect can creating individuals who are noble, removes the paradigm of the dichotomy of science, changes indoctrination into participatory, builds a theoretical approach towards an applicative approach, combining a harmonious relationship between reason and revelation, useful knowledge, scientific charity, piety, and noble. The education of pesantren in the modern era needs to prepare learning media to support the achievement of educational goals. In the perspective of Islam, the universe is a medium of learning, included in this category is the media of technology. It’s just that the role of the teacher needs to be prioritized so there is no dehumanization in education.

It realized that the powerlessness of education has potential to create a problem that is simple. Education has a very strategic role as a means of human resources and human investment. In the concept of humanist religious education, religion can't be separated and become a unity of integrity. The Qur'an used four terms to refer to humans, namely are; Bashar, Al-nas, Bani adam, and Al-insan. In the practical level, humanistic religious education has three main objectives that are; quality of culture, autonomous and critical thinking, and authentic personality and has 5 strategies in implementation: there are a balanced combination between approach and objectives, a balance between orientation and information, educational climate or supportive academic culture, a conspicuous and characteristic curriculum, and a good relationship and communication in education.
