Objectives: This study was aimed to comprise the self-criticism in patients with obsessive-compulsive as well as major depression disorders and normal individuals. Methods: Study methodology was a casual-comparative of post ex facto type. The study population included all patients with major depression and obsessive-compulsive referred to psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric clinics, private and public centers of counseling, psychological services, and normal people. The present study consisted of 20 people with major depression, 20 people with obsessive-compulsive, and 40 normal people who were selected by purposive sampling method. To analyze the data, ANOVA was used. Results: Its results showed that the difference between the study groups in self-criticism was statistically significant. Scheffe post hoc test results showed that there is a significant difference between depressed and healthy groups, obsessive-compulsive and healthy groups, as well as depressed and obsessive-compulsive groups. Furthermore, the average self-compulsive in the depressed group is higher compared to other groups. Conclusions: Self-criticism is one of the traits vulnerable to depression; this trait not only causes depression, but is also affected by the symptoms of depression.

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between academic self-efficacy, social self-efficacy, emotional self-efficacy and psychological hardiness with pain self-efficacy in students. 167 students of Persian Gulf university were selected randomly. The research tools consist of Nicholas pain self-efficacy questionnaire, Morris pain self-efficacy questionnaire and Kobasa psychological hardiness. Correlation coefficient results showed that there was a significant separate correlation between academic self-efficacy, social self-efficacy, emotional self-efficacy, and psychological hardiness with pain self-efficacy. The results of regression analysis showed that the best predictors of pain self-efficacy were psychological hardiness, emotional self-efficacy and social self-efficacy, respectively. Totally the results of regression analysis were significant and revealed that the multiple relationship of predictor variables with the criterion variable was approved. The results suggest that the psychological hardiness and emotional self-efficacy play very effective role in dealing with aches and pains for students.

Materials and Methods: The population was all of persons who had experienced the 6.20 earthquake in Shonbeh city of Bushehr province in 2011. Among them 400 persons were selected by using multistage random sampling method. The research instruments were Personality Traits Inventory (NEO), Mental Health Questionnaire (GHQ), and PTSD Scale. Results revealed that there was an association between mental health with personality traits directlyand indirectly through personality traits with PTSD. Among personality traits only neurotic and openness were significant. Conclusion: in fact, the findings of this study showed that having mental health with personality traits is a solution to relieve PTSD symptoms, and in people with mental health with positive personality traits such as openness to experience decrease the risk of disorder and severity of PTSD symptoms among them.

Methods: To this end, a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study with two experimental groups and a control group was designed. We used non-probability purposive sampling method to select 45 mothers of aggressive children out of all mothers in Deylam City, Iran. They were randomly assigned into three groups (each group included 15 participants). Primary data were collected using the questionnaire developed by Vahedi, Fathi-Azar, Hosseini-Nasab, and Moghadam (2008). To analyze the data, multivariate analysis of covariance, 1-way analysis of covariance, and Bonferroni tests were used. Results: The results indicated that teaching operant conditioning and observational learning techniques to the mothers reduced their children's overall aggression along with its components, including verba...
