Turkish is the fifth widespread spoken language all over the world. If considered as geographical... more Turkish is the fifth widespread spoken language all over the world. If considered as
geographically it’s the first in the world . The Turkish Language spread out such a wide geography
changed with time, had different phases , became a mother language which different dialects and
accents sprang from itself.
The Kazan-Tatar Language; with Başkurt, Karay, Karaçay, Balkar, Kumuk, Nogay, Kazakh,
Karakalpak, and Kirghiz Turkish belongs to the Kipchak branch of the Turkish Language that is to
say North-West group.
The study called The Compound Verbs in Kazan-Tatar Language is composed of input, two
main parts, conclusion, dictionary and bibliography parts . Compound verbs were evaluated
generally and the basic works were introduced briefly in the input part.
General information about Tatars and the historical development of the Tatar Language has
been given in the first part of the study. The research part is composed of four main titles . First of
all compound verbs determined before were studied and classified structurally. Then the
compound verbs were studied according to the use of quotation and a list which shows the
compound verbs established with quoted words was given related to this item. The auxiliary verbs
in the Tatar Language were studied according to their usage in the third part, it is stated that the
auxiliary verbs were used out of their meanings with different meanings in the Tatar Language just
like in the Turkish Language. Such kinds of examples of auxiliary verbs were selected from the
dictionary were classified and stated under this title.
A little compound verbs which includes the whole compound verbs takes place Tatar to
Turkish dictionary is put in the dictionary part of the thesis both to give the meanings of the
compound verbs in the thesis and to make things easier for the users.
In the conclusion part the whole study is taken up in the thesis and results are tried to be
interpreted . The works which are used and utilized take place in the bibliography part.
