These COPV’s are used in space shuttles, space stations, aircraft technology, etc. These COPVs have a huge advantage in all kinds of metal vessels; however, when contrasted with every single metal vessel, COPVs require special design criteria, assembling, and test prerequisites. Therefore, design optimization of a filament wound pressure vessel is the main goal of this thesis. Finite element analysis is done on the polymer-lined composite overwrapped pressure vessel (type IV COPV) by numerical methods using Abaqus Wound Composite Modeler to improve the design. In this thesis, change in layer quantities and the winding angle are considered to find out the burst pressure for optimal design parameters of type IV COPV. Tsai Wu, Tsai Hill, maximum strain, maximum stress failure criteria are considered to fig...

Relatively low distance communication system can be furnished by using IR communication as it is cheaper than widely used Bluetooth and Wi-Fi communication. A protocol has been researched to transfer data between computers by using IR technology and an apparatus also has been developed according to the protocol. MATLAB is used to manipulate data in a computer and transfers the data via serial port to the microcontroller of the apparatus. Mathematical and logical operations are performed in the controller according to programmed instructions in order to send the data as a signal of IR light beam which modulates at a frequency of 38 kHz. An IR receiver picks up the signal and the receiving module converts the modulated light beam to corresponding electric signal which is decoded & defragmented by an another microcontroller to generate corresponding data. Then the accrued data is sent to another computer through serial port where it is received by MATLAB. This apparatus works perfectly within 8 meters with viewing angle between 15 to 30 degrees.

Computer can easily communicate and transfer data & file by infrared technology. A protocol has been researched in this paper and a device is developed to transfer the data by infrared technology between computers. In this protocol at first MATLAB manipulates the data and transfer it via serial port to a microcontroller where mathematical and logical operations are performed according to programmed instructions in order to send the data as a signal of infrared light beam modulated at 38 kHz square wave carrier. An infrared receiver picks up the signal and the receiving module separates the modulated light beam and create corresponding electric signal. A microcontroller converts this electric signal into a clean data stream of 0s and 1s. Then the stream is decoded & defragmented to generate corresponding data. Then the accrued data is sent to the computer through serial port where it is received by MATLAB.
