Several studies have found that skeletal mass can decrease as a result of a lack of physical activity and it along have to increase risk of adverse outcomes including falls, frailty, disability, morbidity and mortality. Exercise interventions is the most effective strategy for increasing the skeletal muscle mass and maintain functional independence of elderly people. In this review will discuss about how physical activity be a habitual exercise that less cost and easy to do, will be home based exercise for elderly people with sarcopenia to decrease of exacerbate. Methods: The literature had selected studies from the following databases: PubMed, Google Scholar and PEDro. Objective: To compare the effectiveness of messages emphasizing the importance of either personal... more Objective: To compare the effectiveness of messages emphasizing the importance of either personal or social responsibility for dietary behavior change in increasing fruit and vegetable intake. Design/Setting: Randomly assigned individually or socially oriented messages were delivered at baseline, 1 week, and 2 and 3 months later. Telephone surveys were conducted at baseline and 1 and 4 months later. Participants: 528 callers to a cancer information hotline who were not meeting the "5 A Day" dietary recommendation. Interventions: A brief telephone-delivered message and 3 mailings of pamphlets and promotional items encouraging fruit and vegetable intake that emphasized either personal or social responsibility. Main Outcome Measures: Fruit and vegetable intake 1 and 4 months postbaseline. Analysis: Chi-square, t tests, and analyses of variance and covariance. Results: Both types of messages increased intake substantially (P = .01).To some extent, the social responsibility message continued to motivate increased intake over time compared with the personal responsibility message. Conclusions and Implications: These minimal interventions had a substantial impact on fruit and vegetable intake. Health messages might be more effective over the longer term if they are designed to emphasize the importance of social responsibility, although further study is needed to confirm the robustness of these findings.

Tinggi rendahnya suhu udara di atmosfer ditentukan oleh besar kecilnya intensitas radiasi matahari yang masuk ke atmosfer bumi. Salah satu factor yang mempengaruhi intensitas radiasi matahari adalah bintik matahari (sunspot). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara sunspot terhadap unsur-unsur iklim di wilayah Papua. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuntitaif melalui analisis trend dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bilangan sunspot bulanan selama periode tahun 2012 hingga tahun 2021 memiliki trend yang menurun sedangkan unsur-unsur iklim, suhu udara, kelembaban udara,dan curah hujan memiliki trend yang beravarisi pada setiap stasiun. The aim of the training is to motivate and improve the ability of teachers to create virtual learning media as alternative physic learning media so as to improve the quality of teaching and physics learning. The method used to support the success of this program is in the form of training, demonstration and practice or tutorial using matlab program. The results of the implementation of service activities felt by the team and the training participants were very satisfying, with indicators of participant activity in each activity process, and participating in training enthusiastically. Kota Jayapura merupakan salah satu daerah di Provinsi Papua yang memiliki intensitas curah hujan ... more Kota Jayapura merupakan salah satu daerah di Provinsi Papua yang memiliki intensitas curah hujan yang cukup tinggi sehingga sering menimbulkan bencana hidrometeorologi. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi dampak negatif curah hujan adalah dengan mengetahui periodisitas, tren dan frekuensi kejadian curah hujan ekstrim serta periode berulangnya kejadian ekstrim tersebut. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji periodisitas siklus curah hujan serta menganalisis tren curah hujan dan frekuensi kejadian curah ekstrim di Kota Jayapura. Data iklim yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data curah hujan sekunder harian periode tahun 2001-2018 yang diperoleh dari BMKG Wilayah V Jayapura Papua. Periodisistas data curah hujan dianalisis menggunakan Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) sedangkan tren dan frekuensi kejadian curah hujan ekstrim dianalisis menggunakan statistik. Hasil analisis FFT menunjukkan bahwa periodisitas curah hujan di Kota Jayapura memiliki nilai kekuatan kerapatan spektral (KKS) tertinggi yaitu 12 bulan/siklus dan 36 dasarian/siklus. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan curah hujan akan mengalami kenaikan atau penurunan setiap 12 bulan sekali atau 36 dasarian sekali. Adapun hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pergeseran bulan lembab ke bulan basah sehingga menyebabkan tren peningkatan curah hujan dasarian dan bulanan mengikuti persamaan y = 0.0489x + 63.794 dan y = 0.3458x+199.54. Tren peningkatan curah hujan tersebut juga diikuti oleh kejadian curah hujan ekstrim yang terjadi pada awal dan akhir tahun dengan frekuensi kejadian 1 hingga 5 kali dalam satu tahun.

Yapen and Mamberamo regions in Papua province as the main route of Yapen, end Mamberamo faults wa... more Yapen and Mamberamo regions in Papua province as the main route of Yapen, end Mamberamo faults was dominated by tertiary and pre tertiary sedimentary rocks of Australia continental crust and Pacific ocean crust. Two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) modeling of subsurface in Papua province especially in Yapen and Mamberamo regions has been done by using complete Bouguer anomaly data. The purpose of this research is to know structure model in subsurface of Yapen and Mamberamo region. Complete Bouguer anomaly had been projected to horizontal plane on 3,992 m height from mean sea level (MSL) with sources depth of mass points equivalent 27,000 m under MSL. Separation the regional and local anomaly generated through upward continuation methods on 30,000 m height from horizontal plane. Two dimensional (2D) modeling of subsurface was used approximated method of Talwani, and three dimensional (3D) modeling was proceed with Grablox and bloxer computer programs based Graphical User Interface (GUI) The result was the model show that Yapen, Mamberamo, and Waipoga Fault. Rock density in Yapen and Mamberamo regions have estimated to 2.82 g/cm3. With an average density of each layer is 2.67 g/cm3for first layer, 2.69 g/cm3for second layer, 2.86 g/cm3 for third layer, and 3.06 g/cm3 for fourth layer. The thickness of the crust in Papua province is estimated 25 to 30 km with a rock base of the oceanic crust.

Penyakit ini tersebar pada semua wilayah dengan jumlah kasus yang bervariasi. Peningkatan penularan penyakit malaria dipengaruhi oleh kondisi lokal, termasuk curah hujan, karakteristik habitat dan sebaran habitat larva. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik habitat dan pengaruh curah hujan terhadap sebaran habitat positif larva nyamuk Anopheles spp. di Distrik Heram Kota Jayapura. Metode yang digunakan merupakan observasi lapangan dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif dan statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 6 jenis habitat perkembangbiakan nyamuk Anopheles spp. di Distrik Heram, yaitu kobakan, kubangan, parit, kolam, kali dan bekas tapak ban. Habitat tersebut ditemukan di Kelurahan Waena dan Yabansai. Luas habitat larva berkisar antar 0.04-28 m2, kedalaman air 5-115 cm, suhu air 26.7-3.7 OC dan pH air 6.7-7.7. The result of estimation showed that peak pattern streamflow was matching with observation data, but differ of discharge amount. Nash-Sutchcliffe coefficient(E) obtained inthis modelwas worth49%. Theresults of correlationbetweensimulation withobservationswas 0,72. The coefficient values (E) indicate that the estimation was not accurate. This causedthe parametersmodel usedhave not beenable togenerate models ofdaily fluctuations. Therefore, itis necessary tocalibratebased the characteristics on the watershed. Malaria cases in this region are affected by local conditions, including the climate and environment of aquatic habitats.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of climatic factors and habitat characteristics on Anopheleslarval density in Koya Barat village. The method used is field observation with descriptive and statistical analysis approach.The results showed that there are four parameters that significantly affect on larval density, namely rainfall, air temperature, water temperature and salinity. The relationship between rainfall with the larval density in freshwater permanent habitat is negative linear. While in brackish water permanent habitat and semi permanent habitat is non-linear (2nd order polynomial).
