Indonesia is an archipelago country with several aksara/scripts, such as the Rejang script from Sumatra island, the Jawa script from Java Island, the Bali script from Bali island, and the Lontara script from Sulawesi island. Still, there are concerns that some aksara/scripts in Indonesia will become extinct. There are several educational mobile games designed for children using aksara/script recognition content where the game can be used as a supporting medium for learning the script while playing. The author analyzed the contents of several educational mobile games comparatively to gain insight into how educational mobile game developers educate players about aksara/scripts. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with game design theory as a reference for comparative studies. From this research, it is expected that readers will gain insight into approaches to learning letters or scripts through mobile educational games. In addition, these findings can be used as a foundation for developing educational games about scripts.

The exciton-photon matrix elements using the extended tight binding wave function have a large chirality dependence compared with the previous calculation by simple tight binding method. Using the exciton-photon and exciton-phonon matrix elements presented here, we calculate resonance Raman intensity for radial breathing mode as a function of diameter and chiral angle. Excitonic effect of resonance Raman intensities for the radial breathing mode is enhanced by the curvature and trigonal warping effects.

The frequency of one of two particular Raman active phonon modes monotonically decreases with the increase of polyyne chain length while that of the other one shows an oscillating behavior, consistent with previous Raman measurements. The relative Raman intensity of the two phonon modes are evaluated by optimized geometries for ground states and excited states. We also present a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) calculation for spin-spin coupling constants as a function of distance between hydrogen and carbon-13 nuclei and, within carbon-13 nuclei, up to the polyyne center of symmetry. We compare the calculated results with recent NMR experiments.

The E ii differences between experiment and theory are minimized by considering first, a diameter/chiral angle-dependent dielectric constant and second, a diameter/exciton size-dependent dielectric constant (k). In our description, k is composed of the screening contributions from the tube, represented by k tube, and from the environment, represented by k env. We discuss the main aspects of each approach and show that in the first case, different k dependencies are obtained for (E S 11 , E S 22 , E M 11) relative to (E S 33 , E S 44) which is understood as follows: A changing environment changes the k diameter dependence for (E S 11 , E S 22 , E M 11), but for (E S 33 , E S 44) the environmental effects are minimal. We show that in order to achieve a single dependence for all E ii , the exciton's size should be taken into account, as considered in the second approach. The resulting calculated exciton energies reproduce experimental E ii values within |50| meV for a diameter range (0.7< dt <3.8 nm) and 1.2 < Eii <2.7 eV, thus providing a theoretical justification for E ii and important insights into the dielectric screening in one-dimensional structures.

Red-shifted PL and PL excitation spectra are observed upon water filling for 16 chiralities and can be used to unambiguously distinguish empty SWCNTs from filled ones. The effect of water-filling on the optical transitions is well reproduced by a continuum dielectric constant model previously developed to describe the influence of the nanotube outer environment. Empty nanotubes display narrower luminescence lines and lower inhomogeneous broadening, signatures of reduced extrinsic perturbations. The radial breathing mode (RBM) phonon side band is clearly observed in the PL spectrum of small diameter empty tubes and a strong exciton-phonon coupling is measured for this vibration. Biexponential PL decays are observed for empty and water filled tubes, and only the short living component is influenced by the water-filling. This may be attributed to a shortening of the radiative lifetime of the bright state by the inner dielectric environment.
