Is there an effect of question answer relationship strategy on students' reading skills in reading narrative texts? Class Vlll SMP Methodist 9 Medan is the problem in this research. This form of research is a quasi-experimental study that includes an experimental and a control group, as well as pre- and post-tests. The post-test results showed that 22 pupils (88 percent) received very high scores and 3 students (12 percent) received high scores. The experimental group's mean score was likewise raised. Prior to using the QAR technique, the mean was 67.04. The mean after learning using the QAR technique was 83.36. This paper aims at stressing current issue on how to enhance pronunciation skills through the pho... more This paper aims at stressing current issue on how to enhance pronunciation skills through the phonetic method. The design applied action research in a classroom where there are two cycles conducted after primarily doing pre-cycle. The techniques to collect the data were an oral test, interviews with students and teacher, and field notes. The findings showed that the first cycle did not significantly enhance students’ skills in pronunciation because, among 24 students, 16 students passed the test with the category of a good score and sufficient. Some students were still confused with the pronunciation instruction and failed to test underscore 60. Thus, It needs the second cycle to reach the goal of the research. The researchers’ aim for this research was to determine the significance of using crossword puzzl... more The researchers’ aim for this research was to determine the significance of using crossword puzzles in developing students' vocabulary at Pangeran Antasari Medan's seventh grade. The quantitative design was used in this study. This study's population consisted of 50 students. Furthermore, the researchers used 50 students as a sample and divided them into two different groups, experimental and control groups. The study's instrument was a fill-in-the-blanks (Pre-test and Post-test) or crossword puzzle. Based on the clarification over, the author analyzed the score utilizing the T-test equation, and the result was T-observed was 2.92 and t-table was 1,684, indicating that T-observed was more prominent than T-table. At the critical level, p= 0.05 and df= nx=ny-2 = 48. This implies that Crossword Puzzle Strategy features a noteworthy affect on students' learning.

This study was a quantitative study with pre-test and post-test experimental design. There were two variables in which the independent variable was Think Pair Share technique and the dependent variable was reading comprehension. This study was conducted at SMA Harapan 3 Deli Serdang. The population was the grade X students with the total number of students were 145. The sample of this study was the class Xips1 and Xips2 with the total number of samples were 60. The samples were divided into two groups, they were experimental group and control group and each group was consisted of 30 students. The experimental group will taught by using Think Pair Share technique and the control group will taught by using the conventional technique. Both group will given pre-test and post-test to obtain the data. The data will be analyzed by using t-test formula. It was obtained that tobs (t-observed) was higher than t-table(t-table) in which tobs = 8,8461 > ttable = 2,021 with the level of significant was 0,05 (5%) and the df (degree of freedom) = (Na + Nb-2 = 30 + 30-2 = 58). It showed that Ha (hypothesis alternative) was accepted and Think Pair Share technique affected students' reading comprehension.

The type of research is quasi-experimental. The population in the research is students of University of Prima Indonesia. The samples were taken by cluster random sampling which consists of two classes namely the experimental class and the control class and each class consists of 25. The experimental group was taught by guessing game media while the control group was taught by conventional teaching media in writing descriptive text. The instruments used were test sheets for writing and observation sheets. The techniques used in analyzing the data were descriptive statistical analysis and t-test. Para siswa diberikan pelatihan agar dapat mengucapkan kosa kata dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan baik dan benar melalui metode Story Telling yang di ajarkan dengan tepat. PKM ini juga bertujuan untuk membangun kepercayaan diri siswa dalam membaca teks berbahasa Inggris serta menambah ilmu pengetahuan dalam ejaaan bahasa inggris yang baik dan benar. Dalam Pengabdian Masyarakat ini memiliki 5 tahapan untuk metode yang telah dilalui yang terdiri dari observasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, penerapan, dan evaluasi. This research is a Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were students of grade X SMA harapan 3 Medan. . While the object of this study is the application of mind mapping method in improving students’ writing skill of descriptive paragraph . Based on the results of the study, it was found that from the results of the action as much as 2 (two) cycles in grade X students of SMA Harapan 3 Medan concluded that the use of mind mapping method can improve writing skill of descriptive paragraph. From the results of the Cycle I and Cycle II activities as many as 70% of students were declared complete in the writing material of descriptive text with an average value of 71. The purpose of this research is to describe the form of diathesis and the classification and structure of diathesis in Mandailing language. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research type. The data of this research is the South Tapanuli Mandailing language unit which contains diathesis. The results of the analysis show that there are four types of diathesis in the South Tapanuli Mandailing language, namely active, passive, reflexive, and reciprocal.

This research is quantitative by conducting an experimental design. The population used in this study was students of X SMK Shandy Putra 2 Medan. The sample of this study was randomly selected by taking 25 students for the experimental and control classes. Advertisement Pre-test Post-test is given to determine student scores. The score was calculated using the t-test formula. The results showed that the value of t-observation (2.44)> t-table (2.01) with df (48), meaning that the Group Investigation Method can improve student achievement in writing descriptive texts. So, the researcher concludes that there is a significant effect of the Group Investigation Method on student achievement in writing descriptive texts.
