This study aims is to develop a parenting program based on parenting style for factory workers' m... more This study aims is to develop a parenting program based on parenting style for factory workers' mothers. Quantitative methods are used to describe the tendency of parenting factory workers based on the Baumrind classification (authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, or neglectful). Based on data processing, it was found that in general, factory worker mothers tend to be authoritative but authoritarian in enforcing the rules. The problem is when mothers work children are left with relatives who tend to be permissive and pampering, even children can become vulnerable to malnutrition due to careless food intake for example. Inconsistency in moral upbringing makes it difficult for mothers in forming attitudes. The implications of the parenting program needed include: 1) the urgency of early childhood education; 2) cooperation between mother and family or caregiver; 3) implementation of the concept of Baumrind parenting in socio-emotional and moral development; 4) creating an educational environment for moral formation and fulfillment of child nutrition.

Research background data showing a lack of the ability of adolescents to appreciate friends, less... more Research background data showing a lack of the ability of adolescents to appreciate friends, less able to work together with friends, less concerned about a friend, and did not want to share with friends. Examples of this behavior leads to studies focused on prosocial behavior. Guidance Counseling Islami in particular social personal guidance is spearheading the treatment schools to improve student prosocial behavior. Based on the above problems, the need for an increase in prosocial behavior of students and personal-social guidance program as an effort to improve the development of prosocial behavior. This research uses descriptive method development where the primary data source is a class VIII SMPN 9 Cimahi as many as 100 students. The results showed a majority of prosocial behavior class VIII SMPN 9 Cimahi year 2008/2009 in middle category. The only slight difference with the students who entered the high category, and no one any student who is at the low category. Prosocial behavior of students that are arising because of the influence of the school environment and the cultural influence of the community around the school.

Kompetensi sosial mendukung kemampuan komunikasi, keberhasilan akademik dan adaptasi di sekolah, serta memperkuat hubungan sebaya dan menciptakan lingkungan yang positif dalam pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, kompetensi ini harus dikembangkan sejak dini secara optimal. Salah satu cara mengembangan kompetensi sosial emosional pada naka usia dini adalah melalui permainan tradisonal. Terdapat beragam jenis permainan tradisonal yang dapat digunakan sebagai media alternatif pegnembangan sosial emosional anak usia diini. Kata Kunci: Permainan Tradisional, Media Pembelajaran, Sosial Emsional Anak A. PENDAHULUAN Pendidikan merupakan modal dasar untuk menyiapkan insan yang berkualitas. Menurut Undang-undang Sisdiknas Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Menurut UNESCO pendidikan hendaknya dibangun dengan empat pilar, yaitu learning to know, learning to do, learning to be, dan learning to live together. Pada hakikatnya belajar harus berlangsung sepanjang hayat. Untuk menciptakan generasi yang berkualitas, pendidikan harus dilakukan sejak usia dini dalam hal ini melalui Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD), yaitu pendidikan yang ditujukan bagi anak sejak lahir hingga usia 6 tahun. Sejak dipublikasikannya hasilhasil riset mutakhir di bidang neuroscience dan psikologi maka fenomena pentingnya PAUD merupakan keniscayaan. PAUD menjadi sangat penting mengingat potensi kecerdasan dan dasar-dasar perilaku seseorang terbentuk pada rentang usia ini. Sedemikian pentingnya masa ini sehingga usia dini sering disebut the golden age (usia emas). PAUD di atur dengan jelas dalam UU No.20 Th 2003 tentang Sisdiknas sebagai jenjang pendidikan dan jalur pendidikan memiliki kurikulum yang sama baik pada PAUD Formal maupun Nonformal. Sebagai jenjang pendidikan, PAUD merupakan pendidikan yang diselenggarakan sebelum pendidikan dasar sembilan tahun. Hal tersebut bertujuan menyiapkan anak-anak usia dini siap memasuki jalur pendidikan dasar selanjutnya dengan bekal kesiapan mental dan emosional serta aspek-aspek lain dalam diri anak untuk menerima beban materi yang lebih di tingkat pendidikan dasar.
Fulfillment of children's rights has been a concern of Indonesia stated in the ratification of th... more Fulfillment of children's rights has been a concern of Indonesia stated in the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Act No. 23 of 2002 on Child Protection. However, violence against children is increasing each year. The most dominant violence emerged in recent years is sexual abuse committed against children aged 5 to 11 years, and the perpetrators of sexual abuse are close with the children. Concern about cases of sexual abuse in early childhood and their impact, should be followed by an effort to develop a variety of approaches and methods of sex education in accordance with religious and cultural values in which children live.
