Important among machine learning tasks is classification involving the process of training machines to make predictions from predefined labels. Classification is broadly categorized into three distinct groups: single-label (SL), multi-class, and multi-label (ML) classification. This research work presents an application of a multi-label classification (MLC) technique in automating Quranic verses labeling. MLC has been gaining attention in recent years. This is due to the increasing amount of works based on real-world classification problems of multi-label data. In traditional classification problems, patterns are associated with a single-label from a set of disjoint labels. However, in MLC, an instance of data is associated with a set of labels. In this paper, three standard MLC methods: binary relevan...

Methods/Statistical analysis: Users can now monitor and control different devices even they are not at home provided there is internet access. The primary advantages from this concept include wireless devices being a part of a cloud-based system by which, it can to interact and communicate, maximize safety, comfort, convenience and energy-savings. Existing systems require additional communication hardware (such as LAN, Bluetooth and RF) and proprietary software to the system which increases to the cost of the system. Findings: There is a need for easy deployable solutions by using open source solutions for both hardware and software. This paper proposes the development of the hardware using ESP8266 microcontroller, the use of MQTT protocol as means of sending and receiving messages from the wireless devices to a central server and the use Node-red Programming for creating the web based application for the IoT based Home Automation. A comparison with existing home automation system was made to evaluate the effectiveness of the system. Improvements/Applications: The use of NodeMCU as the microcontroller equipped with the MQTT protocol and uses a Raspberry Pi as the MQTT broker reduces the need for additional hardware such as Bluetooth and Zigbee and use the existing WiFi netrok at home to control appliances and monitor the power consumption at home.

The Mabini Building at De La Salle Lipa has nearly a hundred rooms, 70 of which are used by college students for lecture and laboratory classes. From 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., these rooms are available. In a daily class schedule, air conditioning units and lights are used an average of 10 hours per day, while fans and power outlets are used an average of 5 hours. Even when no classes are being held, the aforementioned equipment is frequently left open in these rooms. The researchers created and constructed an IoT-based energy monitoring system to monitor and control the lights and outlets in a room. The system will also record the number of kilowatt-hours (kWh) consumed. The system employs NodeMCU, cur...
