The evaluation is considered to be a fundamental pillar in the educational process of the student... more The evaluation is considered to be a fundamental pillar in the educational process of the students, its definition has evolved with the course of history until turning into one of the principal discussions of the educational systems in every country and it is the most significant tool in the process called education-learning. The mission of universities is to contribute to the preparation, formation and training of students, and to qualify them to assume the labour challenge. With the aim to determine the behaviour of the evaluation specifically in health science, an essay was written after a review in the literature of this topic, focusing punctual aspects in the definition of the evaluation, its evolution, performance in health sciences and finally to describe some instruments used by teachers to fulfil the development of professional skills.
