The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities have started since 1990s now has become a me... more The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities have started since 1990s now has become a medium for most of Indian corporate to contribute to inclusive growth of Indian society. Now the companies are participating actively in CSR initiatives by spending 2-5 per cent of their net profits. The new Companies Bill also made it compulsory to spend 2 per cent of net profit of the company towards CSR activities. Consequent to the decision, the Indian Corporate have shifted their focus beyond traditional activities. The present paper focuses on how CSR extends beyond the traditional business to encompass new governmental and social drivers and emphasised on the gender content of CSR in banking sector for the inclusive growth since development and empowerment of women ultimately imperative for the inclusive growth of the nation. The study was undertaken all the banking customers of Nandyal town. The sample size of the study was 250. The present study is based on the primary as well secondary data. The primary data is collected from the bank customers who are residing in Nandyal town. Data is analyzed and presented in tables. Statistical tools like percentages and weighted average method were used with the help of SPSS packages. The paper examines to know the customer preference attributes in the usage of core banking services and factors affected them in using core banking services. The finding of the study is majority of the customer’s are preference is given by attributes convenience, availability of places, safety and security and familiarity of services followed by attributes cost of transactions, reliability, availability of time and accessibility of services. Banking sector is one of the sectors which has been influenced mostly by the process of globalisa... more Banking sector is one of the sectors which has been influenced mostly by the process of globalisation and has become highly internationalised. The impetus for the globalisation, forced the players, countries to adopt different strategies at different times to sustain their businesses in this globalised scenario. The banks adopted different strategies viz., sprinkler strategy, waterfall strategy and combination of sprinkler and waterfall strategy as a means of their internationalisation. The present study is intended to study the different strategies adopted by the selected Indian Banks and also to find out the determinant factors for their internationalisation. This study also refers to the period from 2006 to 2014. Multinomial Logit Regression model is used to understand the determinant factors influencing internationalisation of Indian commercial banks by using parameters of ownership advantages, internationalisation advantages and location advantages. The results show that the Indian commercial banks preferred branch mode of entry over the other modes for their internationalisation and the factors like host country, trade cross borders, bank internationalisation and host trade freedom are found significant determinants factors for internationalisation of Indian banks.

The State of Asom in India is one of the most beautiful and attractive regions of India. There is hardly any other state which offers what Asom has. Asom has greater variety and colors in its natural scenery and in the cultural treasures of the people that inhabit it. Asom is blessed with an abundance of scenic grandeur. In view of the growing importance of the tourism sector all over the world in general, and in the State of Asom in particular, the tourism sector has become a part or an appendage of the international trade and exchange system. Empowerment means moving from enforced powerlessness to a position of power. Education is the mos... more Empowerment means moving from enforced powerlessness to a position of power. Education is the most powerful instrument for changing the existing scenario about female and girls and their importance for national growth. For this study the teachers working in primary and secondary schools of Hyderabad Karnataka Region form universe. The primary and secondary data were used to study the objectives of the study. Simple statistical tools like percentages, Pearson correlation is used to analyze the data. In Karnataka state the percentage of female teachers in secondary schools is marginally lower than their counter parts while as the percentage of female teachers to the male teachers in private secondary schools are almost two times the male teachers and in government secondary schools is this percentage is one third of total teachers. The study established the fact that in case of female teacher, her husband/father and family play a vital role even in her choice of study and employment.
