A novel series of Sulfonamide embedded heterocyclic derivatives were synthesized and well charact... more A novel series of Sulfonamide embedded heterocyclic derivatives were synthesized and well characterized by using 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR and IR spectroscopic techniques. All the new synthesized compounds were evaluated to their anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-malarial activities. Noticeably, compound 5b was the most potent compound in vitro anti-microbial (S. aureus) with a MTCC value of 96 microgram/ml and compounds 5g and 5j showed most potent activity in vitro anti-fungal (C. albicans) with a MTCC value of 277microgram/ml. Similarly, compound 5e showed high potent activity of antimalarial (P. falciparum) with mean IC50 value as compared to other synthesized derivatives.

A series of some new phenothiazine derivatives were synthesized with the objective for evaluation... more A series of some new phenothiazine derivatives were synthesized with the objective for evaluation as antimicrobials. The title compounds were prepared by a five step synthesis scheme. 2-Amino-6-substituted benzothiazoles (1) on diazotization afford 6-substituted benzothiazolyl-2-diazonium chlorides (2). Reaction of 2 with cold solution of-naphthol in dilute NaOH furnishes-(2diazo-6-substituted benzothiazolyl)-sodionaphthoxides (3) which on acidification with concentrated HCl gives-(2-diazo-6-substituted benzothiazolyl)-naphthols (4). Reaction of 4 with p-substituted anilines gives-(2-diazo-6-substituted benzothiazolyl)-(p-substituted anilino) naphthalenes (5). This synthesis besides by using conventional methods was also attempted using microwave. Fusion of 5 with sulphur in presence of iodine results in-(2-diazo-6substituted benzothiazolyl)-6-substituted [2, 3-b] benzophenothiazines(6). The structures of all these compounds have been supported by elemental analysis and their spectral studies. All synthesized compounds were tested for their antibacterial activity using standard drugs.

Among all the quality parameters, Fluoride is one of the water quality parameters of concern. Due... more Among all the quality parameters, Fluoride is one of the water quality parameters of concern. Dueto its dental and bone deficiency to living entities the WHO limits the fluoride content that shouldnot be greater than 1.5 mg lâ1. In the present study investigation is performed the removal abilityof beet root leaves as adsorbent for removal of fluoride ion from aqueous solution. The optimumconditions were studied to get maximum adsorption. It was observed that maximum removal offluoride ion was at pH 7.5, maximum removal was achieved upto 62%. Removal of fluoride wasconfirmed by EDAX. Kinetics data was best fitted for First order kinetics.
Various aromatic aldehydes condense with aryl ketone (N-(4-(phenylsulfonamido)phenyl) acetamide) ... more Various aromatic aldehydes condense with aryl ketone (N-(4-(phenylsulfonamido)phenyl) acetamide) in presence of aqueous alkaline NaOH to form α, β-unsaturated ketone (N-(4-(Nphenylsulfamoyl)phenyl)cinnamamide derivatives or sulfonamide chalcone derivatives). We were synthesized novel sulfonamides chalcones synthesized through Claisen-Schmidt condensation of aromatic aldehydes and sulfonamide containing acetanilide. All the synthesized compounds were characterized using Mass, FTIR, NMR (H & C) spectra analysis. The synthesized sulfonamide chalcone hybrids were screened antimicrobial activity, antifungal and antimalarial activity.

Resin samples were tested for their physical and chemical properties. The structures of the resins have been supported by their spectral analysis.

Synthesis of some biologically active benzothiazolotriazine derivatives by microwave irradiation ... more Synthesis of some biologically active benzothiazolotriazine derivatives by microwave irradiation is reported. 2-Amino-6-substituted benzothiazoles1on treatment with benzaldehyde in anhydrous ethanol afforded 2-benzylidenoimino-6-substitutedbenzothiazoles2which underwent cyclisation with ammoniumthiocyanate in dioxane to give 2-phenyl benzothiazolo [3,2-α]-s-triazine-4-[3H] thiones3.These both steps were carried out in microwave. Compound3with benzoyl chloride in anhydrous pyridine gave 2-phenyl-3-(benzoyl) benzothiazolo [3,2-α]-s-triazine-4-thiones4in good yields. The structure of all these compounds have been supported by their elemental analysis and their spectral data. All synthesized compounds were tested for their antibacterial activity using standard drug.
