However, this figure is expected to grow in the near future and is estimated to reach 1.4 percent in 2018. The research paper attempts to analyze the growth of e-commerce in India over the past few years and to evaluate the effect of the growth of the e-commerce on the Indian economy.

Unlike other countries, India does not have the system of allowing children moving out of families to live an independent life of their own. The children in today’s times are playing a major role in the purchases of the family. This research paper is an attempt to understand children’s influence in the purchase decision making in families in the Indian context, to identify and analyze the dimensions of child’s consumer socialization affecting child's influence in family buying process, to identify and analyze the different influence strategies children use to persuade their parents, to identify and analyze the different product categories on the basis of child's influence, to find out if parents are happy with the involvement of children in the purchase decisions made by them.

In a short span of time, Patanjali has achieved a turnover of 5000 crores and has started eating market share of bigger FMCG brands in many products. This paper attempts to analyze the growing trends of Patanjali brand and to analyse the factors that are contributing to the growth of Patanjali brand.

Retailers comprise of a large section of the population and a large population is dependent upon these retailers. But the arrival of online shopping sites with their attractive incentives and wide varieties has put the Brick and Mortar retailers in an adverse situation. Not all types of Brick and Mortar retailers have suffered so far. This study looks into the preference and attitude of customers towards shopping in-stores and online in different age brackets and their reasons for it. This study also looks into various aspects about how Brick and Mortar retail businesses are being affected and various recovery mechanisms they are coming up with to counter online shopping sites in their race of survival. This study covers the customers point of view on how online shopping sites or in store purchases are being preferred by them.
