So, there is need to limit inside of these difficulties and produce fine voltage quality concerns. The Flexible Alternate Flow Transmission Systems (FACTS) are the framework made out of static gear works for the AC transmission of electrical energy. Unified_Power_Flow Controls (UPFC) are the excellent FACTS tools to attach series and shunt together and it could use for framing Power transmission sensitive and active power. Here in the paper, Unified Power Flow Control (UPFC) used to clear the voltage sink and Surge. Unified Control was developed and engineered using amplifiers and rectifiers. The real and reactive modifications in congruous control orientations at the receiver side. Use of Simulink of MATLAB checks quality of energy in the use of Unified Control.

Nowadays DC microgrid has become a new subject of research due to addition of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles for small buildings and residential. In this paper, we have taken review of previous published work and based on that we proposed solar-based bidirectional VSC-based Battery Storage System for microgrid applications using flyback converters. To done so, we have make DC bus which takes DC voltage from solar panel stored in battery and given to dc load similarly generated dc power given to AC grid by using Inverter. A bidirectional AC-DC/DC-AC converter has also been designed to allow bidirectional power flow. With a flexible transmission of power in AC and DC grid with a proper battery backup protection, the converter will perform the inverter as well as rectifier operation properly. These modes of operation of voltage source converter (VSC) are controlled by microcontroller according to changing load condition. Both models are simulated on MATLAB, and result shows validity of proposed system.

ARDS adjudication was performed in accordance with the 2011 Berlin Criteria by three trained adjudicators (HY, MEN and JKB). Disagreements were addressed by a third consulting expert (DJK). Results: 130 cases of ARDS developed in 2635 patients undergoing HSCT (4.9%). ARDS developed in 72/481 patients undergoing allogenic HSCT (15.0%) and 58/2154 patients undergoing autologous HSCT (2.7%). Median time to ARDS development was 50.0 days (IQR: 15.0 to 138 days) after allogenic HSCT and 14.2 days (IQR: 10.5 to 124 days) after autologous HSCT. The 28-day mortality following development of ARDS was 46.9%. At 12 months following HSCT, 87/130 ARDS patients had died (66.9%) compared to 297/2505 patients who did not develop ARDS (11.9%). 7/130 (5.4%) ARDS cases met criteria for engraftment syndrome and 15/130 (11.5%) for diffuse alveolar hemorrhage. Ketoacidosis in type 2 diabetes mellitus presenting as Insulin Autoimmune syndrome is also rare. It is difficult to treat and no protocols exist for its treatment. Steroid therapy has been tried with some success and other immunosuppressants may have a role. Case Report: Herein, we report a 74-year-old male presenting with ketoacidosis, requiring 1200 units insulin per day and still no decline in blood sugar levels. His Insulin autoantibodies were strongly positive and he had dramatic response to steroids. This report is the first case of insulin autoimmune syndrome presenting with hyperglycemia and diabetic ketoacidosis, in India, requiring more than1000 units of insulin. Conclusion: Insulin auto antibody syndrome should be considered in the differential diagnosis of unexplained hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. An induction motor takes a large current while starting so we had to make a starter which will be reduced starting current of an induction motor. In this circuitry, we also gave high voltage and low voltage protection circuitry. In this, we have used a microcontroller with solid state power electronics device i.e. thyristors. The results show that this method can be reduced starting current.

US images were qualitatively assessed for bilateral effusions, static or dynamic air bronchograms, shred sign, ACP at more than one image unilaterally, rhomboid or triangular shaped ACPs, lung tip flapping, ACP to pleural effusion size ratio, homogenous or heterogeneous ACP, complexity of pleural effusion, and abscess or necrosis. Quantitative assessments included ACP tip angle, ACP area, and antero-posterior cranio-caudal index. Results: 274 patient US exams were reviewed. Of 144 (53%) with ACPs, 54 (20%) had associated pleural effusion and were analyzed. Baseline characteristics did not differ between groups. In order to fulfill the widely increasing demand of the electricity which has to be transmitted to many household and industries, it has to be produced and transmitted at larger amount. It is slightly difficult to transmit such a large amount of electricity in very flexible and efficient way as the size of conventionally used relay and protective devices will increase while transmitting such a large amount of electricity which will increase the operating cost. So for transmission of such a large amount of electricit smart FACTS devices are used. In this paper the comparative analysis of unified power flow controller (UPFC) is presented in presence of LG fault. MATLAB/SIMULINK was used for simulation of the controller network. It is concluded that UPFC with t FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER has a better performance compare to UPFC with the PI controller.

Background. Postoperative chylothorax in children is associated with an increased risk of vascula... more Background. Postoperative chylothorax in children is associated with an increased risk of vascular thrombosis, hypothesized to be from loss of antithrombin into chylous fluid resulting in a hypercoagulable state. In adults, an increased thrombotic risk with chylothorax has not been described. Adults undergoing Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy have two strong thrombotic risk factors-active malignancy and postoperative stateallowing for relative homogeneity in baseline thrombotic risk; therefore, we studied the association of chylothorax with thrombosis in this population. Methods. We performed a single-center retrospective cohort study at a tertiary care academic center. Patients included adults undergoing Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2012. We collected demographics, pleural fluid characteristics, and relevant imaging within 30 days after the operation. Using nominal logistic regression, we studied the effects of chylothorax, age, sex, body mass index, American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status Classification, operative duration, and hospital length of stay on the incidence of postoperative thrombosis. Results. We identified 608 patients who underwent Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy. Of these, 524 (86.2%) had no pleural fluid analysis, 48 (7.9%) had nonchylous effusions, and 36 (5.9%) had chylothoraces, with incident acute vascular thrombosis within 30 days postoperatively occurring in 22 of 524 (4.2%), 2 of 48 (4.2%), and 8 of 36 (22.2%), respectively (p [ 0.001). In multivariate analyses, after adjusting for the above factors, chylothorax was associated with significantly higher odds of any vascular thrombosis (odds ratio, 5.46; p [ 0.0013) and deep venous thrombosis/ pulmonary embolism (odds ratio, 6.76; p [ 0.0016). Conclusions. Chylothorax is associated with a significantly higher incidence of vascular thrombosis in adults undergoing Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy. Vascular thrombosis was associated with a significantly higher 90-day mortality rate.

The use of solar energy for cooking application is documented first time in 1767 by Horace de Saussure, a Swiss naturalist. A lot of development in the solar cooking technology has been reported in the literature. The current article highlights a present status of solar community cooking systems in India. Also, the ongoing research activities in the solar community cooking systems have been discussed.

In order to fulfill the widely increasing demand of the electricity which has to be transmitted to many household and industries, it has to be produced and transmitted at larger amount. It is slightly difficult to transmit such a large amount of electricity in very flexible and efficient way as the size of conventionally used relay and protective devices will increase while transmitting such a large amount of electricity which will increase the operating cost. So for transmission of such a large amount of electricit smart FACTS devices are used. In this paper the comparative analysis of unified power flow controller (UPFC) is presented in presence of LG fault. MATLAB/SIMULINK was used for simulation of the controller network. It is concluded that UPFC with t FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER has a better performance compare to UPFC with the PI controller.

Postoperative chylothorax in children is associated with an increased risk of vascular thrombosis, hypothesized to be from loss of antithrombin into chylous fluid resulting in a hypercoagulable state. In adults, an increased thrombotic risk with chylothorax has not been described. Adults undergoing Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy have two strong thrombotic risk factors-active malignancy and postoperative stateallowing for relative homogeneity in baseline thrombotic risk; therefore, we studied the association of chylothorax with thrombosis in this population. Methods. We performed a single-center retrospective cohort study at a tertiary care academic center. Patients included adults undergoing Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2012. We collected demographics, pleural fluid characteristics, and relevant imaging within 30 days after the operation. Using nominal logistic regression, we studied the effects of chylothorax, age, sex, body mass index, American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status Classification, operative duration, and hospital length of stay on the incidence of postoperative thrombosis. Results. We identified 608 patients who underwent Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy. Of these, 524 (86.2%) had no pleural fluid analysis, 48 (7.9%) had nonchylous effusions, and 36 (5.9%) had chylothoraces, with incident acute vascular thrombosis within 30 days postoperatively occurring in 22 of 524 (4.2%), 2 of 48 (4.2%), and 8 of 36 (22.2%), respectively (p [ 0.001). In multivariate analyses, after adjusting for the above factors, chylothorax was associated with significantly higher odds of any vascular thrombosis (odds ratio, 5.46; p [ 0.0013) and deep venous thrombosis/ pulmonary embolism (odds ratio, 6.76; p [ 0.0016). Conclusions. Chylothorax is associated with a significantly higher incidence of vascular thrombosis in adults undergoing Ivor-Lewis esophagogastrectomy. Vascular thrombosis was associated with a significantly higher 90-day mortality rate.
