The nitrogen atom of quinoxalin‐2(1H)‐one facilitated as an effective directing group and helped in achieving regioselective mono halogenation at ortho‐position of 3‐phenyl ring of 3‐phenylquinoxalin‐2(1H)‐ones. Under mild reaction condition, a wide diversity of mono halogenated products were obtained with wide substrate scope and high functional group tolerance in good yields. Post‐functionalization of the synthesized molecules has been demonstrated.

Cloud is a type of parallel and distributed system consisting of a collection of inter-connected and virtualized computers that are dynamically provisioned and presented as one or more unified computing resources based on service-level agreements established through negotiation between the service provider and consumers. Resource scheduling, which is a part of resource management is an important process that takes place in storage cloud which falls under IaaS cloud, so that the available resources may be properly allocated to the requesting tasks in a best fit manner so that no resources are wasted. In this paper a new algorithm is designed for task scheduling to minimize memory wastage since our task is to store some files in the storage cloud, task completion time and task response time. The task manager checks all the virtual machine and assigns the task to proper virtual machine which will h...

The results indicate that the steel has remarkably good properties (yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, ductility, notch sensitivity ratio, and high cycle fatigue) in low-temperature environments. The steel retains its good mechanical characteristics even in the aged condition although there is an increase in the yield strength. It has been suggested that it would be useful to include the effect of low temperatures (at least the lowest service temperature) on the mechanical properties of materials in the codes and standards used for selecting steels for use in the Arctic.

We analyze public view on the pandemic in regards with mental stress, interrupted power supply, affordability and access to internet, flexibility of schedule, reduction of long-distance commute, risk of covid and other such consequences of online learning and Government’s take on the need for inclusive education policies. In this paper, we qualitatively inspect the consequences of COVID-19 pandemic on education of the students. This study primarily focuses on the response of students of all age groups, educators, college professors, school teachers and also parents of young students towards the approach of distance learning or Online education in the past two years. We have taken two datasets, first being the Twitter dataset comprising of tweets from around the whole world and second, dataset which is specific to tweets from India. The data has been extracted from twitter with the aid of twitter API and then two sentiment analysis approaches...

We look at the area of data collection in low-resource settings among rural women in North India, and explore the feasibility of using voice-based surveys conducted through IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems where users may speak their responses in a conversational manner through natural speech. Through an iterative design process and detailed user feedback, we describe several nuances in running voice-based surveys, and compare their accuracy of data collection through equivalent keypress-based surveys. We find strong user preferences for voice-based surveys, and comparable performance with keypress-based surveys for most types of questions. Our results suggest that voice-based conversational interfaces may hold significant potential to build interactive applications for low-income and less-literate populations. Our findings are likely to be useful for other researchers and practitioners using ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) in developing regions.
