Fungal infections are located in the different parts of the body of which we speak of cutaneous (muguet, onychomycosis, athlete's feet...) and systemic (candidiasis, aspergillosis and cryptococcosis) fungal infections. Significant progress is being made on discovering a safe and effective treatment, in order to reduce the effect of mycoses. Hence, this paper presents the physicochemical analyzes and the biological activities of a cosmetic formulation based on the essential oil of Cinnamomum verum (bark of cinnamon). The first part of the work, and after the extraction of the essential oil of cinnamon by hydrodistillation, we analyzed all the constituents of this oil by GC-MS. The results of these analyzes showed that the main composition consists of three compounds: cinnamaldehyde (89.31%), cinnamyl acetate (2.44%), linalool (1.60%). the last part of this work aimed to investigate the antimicrobial activities in cinnamon essential oil by assessing each against mycotic microbes, then the antibacterial activity was done against: Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus, and Antifungal activity was done against yeast Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. The data of these microbial activities have shown remarkable activity, which implies the use of this oil in the treatment of mycoses.

This scien tific paper includes the research of separation of emulsions with similar densities. The emul sions with similar properties are separated very slowly, so it is necessary to use special inserts to accelerate the separation process. The authors have chosen inserts with corrugated baffles, located at an angle of 45°, inserts with corrugated baffles, located at an angle of 135°, as well as inserts with cross-corrugated baffles. As a result of experimental research, it was found that with an increase in the emulsion rate inside of apparatus, the separation efficiency decreases, upon the condition that all the studied inserts are installed. When the concentration of hydro carbons in the original mixture is less than 25%, it is most appropriate to use inserts with cor rugated baffles, located at an angle of 45°.

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of 12 weeks of light and heavy interval exercises on the level of irisin and FGF21 in obese and overweight women. Methods: This clinical traial study was done on 35 overweight and obese women (39.8±3.85 years old and body mass index 27.1±3.37 kg/m). The subjects were divided randomly into three groups of interval exercises including Heavy (n=12), light (n=12), and control (n=11) groups. The training program included 12 weeks of heavy and light interval exercises for 25 to 60 minutes per session and three sessions per week. Before and after the training period, irisin and FGF21 serum indices were measured for each subject. Results: Serum level of FGF21 increased only after 12 weeks of heavy in...

Research paper thumbnail of Spiritual Intelligence and Social Entrepreneurial Intentions Among Students: The Mediating Role of Entrepreneurial Passion

Contributions to Management Science, 2018

It is well known that social entrepreneurs have distinct beliefs, purposes, and perspectives. The... more It is well known that social entrepreneurs have distinct beliefs, purposes, and perspectives. They have conviction in their own particular beliefs and in how those beliefs are formed. However, little research has been done to date that clarifies the exceptional beliefs of social entrepreneurs. Spirituality gives people a transcendental perspective. Furthermore, spiritual intelligence brings about a deeper understanding of life, heightened values, a strong sense of purpose and a high level of motivation. Despite the importance of a person’s orientation in terms of beliefs, little research has been done to evaluate the role of spiritual intelligence as a driving force for social entrepreneurship. Therefore, the present research is done to evaluate the relationship between spiritual intelligence and social entrepreneurial intention according to the mediating role of entrepreneurial passion. For this purpose, the descriptive-correlation method is used and 384 questionnaires are distributed among local undergraduate students of management and industrial engineering at universities in the city of Mashhad in Iran. Structural equation modeling with partial least squares is applied for data analysis. Results show that spiritual intelligence is a predictor of social entrepreneurial intention through the mediating role of entrepreneurial passion. However, of the two types of entrepreneurial passion tested in this research, the passion for founding is determined as a stronger mediator for this relationship compared to the passion for inventing. Results also show that spiritual intelligence had a direct effect on social entrepreneurial intention. In addition to this, results confirm effects of both types of entrepreneurial passion on social entrepreneurial intention. However, the passion for founding has a much stronger effect on social entrepreneurial intention than does the passion for inventing. Finally, practical implications and future research are discussed.

YSZ-10 wt-% Al2O3 composite coatings with pyrolysed and un-pyrolysed Al2O3 powder were deposited. High temperature oxidation and thermal shock resistance of both coatings were investigated. Thermal shock test results showed that the lifetime of the YSZ-10 wt-% Al2O3 coating was increased by the pyrolysation of the un-pyrolysed Al2O3. The network of micro-segmented cracks produced by the pyrolysation of the un-pyrolysed Al2O3 improved the strain accommodation, introducing it as the main enhancement mechanism for TBC life extension. Using of pyrolysed alumina, resulted increased in the flattening degree of the splats, and so reduction of porosity and intra-splat cracks. This, in turn, reduced the permeability of the top coat and decreased the rate of oxide growth on the bond coat.

Currently, one of the challenges that marketing and sport event organizers are encountered is to increase the amount of ovation of visitors through recognizing the causes which influence their attendance. The aim of this study was to investigate push and deterrent factors of tourists to sport events. Methods: The research method was descriptive and survey. The sample of the study includes 319 tourists from national team participating in the national football teams. The data was collected using the Wimbledon questionnaire. Which the validity of this questionnaire approved by 10 professors of Guilan University and 10 experts tourist and had a previously proven reliability of 86% using the Chronbach's Alpha. The research data were analyzed by Binomial tests (P≤0.05). Results: the findings of this study indicate that from the tourist of the view of fans, socialization, entertainment and relaxation (push factors) are the most effective factors on tourist's attendance in sport event. And personal problems, financial problems and risks (deterrent factors) are the most effective factors on tourists no attendance in sport event. Conclusion: The results indicate that the socialization, relaxation, and entertainment (push factors) are the most effective factors on tourist's attendance in sport event. Also, financial problems and risks and personal problems are the most important deterrent factors. Finally, it is suggested that to enhance the participation of the tourists' motivations to attend the sport events, their motivational factors must be identified thoroughly and there must be a good informing system on attraction of event and destination, and financial costs, safety problems, and health problems must be minimized.

The hydrogel-encapsulated SNPs (SNPs@Hyd) have carboxylic acid groups, which can bind alternatively chitosan/alginate/chitosan chains to enhance the structural integrity of hydrogel composites. Chitosan-coated SNPs@Hyd exhibited prolonged releasing times of absorbed ibuprofens from hydrogel capsules entangled by alternative chitosan/alginate/chitosan chains. In particular, double chitosan-coated SNPs@Hyd (SNPs@Hyd@Chi@Algi@Chi) absorbed larger amount of ibuprofen than that of single chitosan-coated SNPs@Hyd (SNPs@Hyd@Chi), demonstrating a chemical strategy for preparing an efficient drug delivery system.
