Background With the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, along with the development o... more Background With the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, along with the development of new mutations of the virus and an increase in the number of cases among pediatrics, physicians should be aware and alerted on the atypical presentations of the disease, especially in less expected individuals. Case presentation Here we present a 12-year-old obese boy (BMI = 37.5 kg/m2) who presented with empyema, which was following SARS-CoV-2 infection. The patient had no history of fever. Due to the onset of dyspnea, a chest tube was inserted for him which was later altered to a pleural drainage needle catheter. Conclusion Our case is the first report of COVID-19 presenting as empyema among pediatrics. Pleural empyema should be considered as a rare complication of COVID-19. Since there is still no guideline in the management of empyema in the context of COVID-19, delay in diagnosis and intervention may cause morbidity and mortality in children.

Literal and rhetorical techniques are some of methods used by poets in literal creation. Ibn Hossam could create many of beautiful and artistic descriptions using expressive and rhetorical images. The objective of this study is to indicate expressive and rhetorical techniques used by Ibn Hossam for illustration in Khavaran Nameh. Last part of this paper points to some effects of Ferdosi’s Shanameh on Khavaran Nameh in terms of illustration. Results obtained from this research on all of verses of Khavaran Nameh indicated that they play a vital role in Ibn Hossam’s illustration in terms of expression in describing epic scenes, high frequency of extensive and compound simile, arranged metaphor and multiple images. Due to the fact that excellence models, especially EFQM, work based on RADAR logic, which makes t... more Due to the fact that excellence models, especially EFQM, work based on RADAR logic, which makes them heavily rely on subjective judgments, the aim of this study is to present a more accurate and objective way of assessing organizations with EFQM using Neutrosophic logic approach to minimize estimation errors of assessment values. In this study, assessing organizations based on the EFQM excellence model is performed using Neutrosophic logic, which is a three-valued logic useful in studying uncertainty. First, an assessing tool is designed for evaluation with Neutrosophic logic. Its validity of structure and content was confirmed using EFQM model framework and experts' opinion of evaluation. Also, the reliability was supported in a similar manner using experts' views. Then, the selected organizations, including three state-owned, private, and semi-public banks, were assessed with the assessing tool, and finally, the results of assessing with RADAR logic and Neutrosophic logic were compared. Based on assessing experts of EFQM National Excellence Award and calculations, assessing studied organizations with Neutrosophic logic approach proved more accurate than assessing with RADAR logic approach.

Background & Objectives: Nowadays, burnout as a psychological syndrome is a major problem, especi... more Background & Objectives: Nowadays, burnout as a psychological syndrome is a major problem, especially in health services, that has been identified in a large number of health care providers. The aim of this study was to determine the extent of burnout and the relationship between demographic characteristics and burnout dimensions among primary health care providers. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive-analytic study was conducted in 2019. The statistical sample included all primary health care providers (n=335) working in one of the medical colleges in Markazi province. Data were collected using Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Simple and multiple regression tests were used. Data were entered into SPSS version 23 software. Results: The mean score of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishments was 15.5, 4.9, and 33.8, respectively. Among health care providers, 21.8% had high emotional exhaustion, 23%, high depersonalization, and 47.5% had low personal accomplishments. The results of multiple regression tests indicated a significant relationship between gender, work experience, and place of service with burnout. Conclusion: Some strategies such as conducting training courses, providing advisory services, and optimizing human resources management, especially for women, urban employees, and those with high work experience, are suggested to reduce burnout.

In this paper optimal design of Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller parameters in a... more In this paper optimal design of Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller parameters in an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) system has been considered. In this study, many performance criteria used in evaluating performance of the PID controller are employed to the proposed AVR system. This criteria are include system responsibility rate, settling time of system response, disappear overshoot and undershoot in system response and important of all system stability. Optimization algorithm namely Imperialistic Competition (ICA) is applied for determining the optimal PID controller parameters in an AVR system. For simulate system we used m-file of matlab 2011 software. Finally, simulation result simulated annealing algorithm (SA) is compared with proposed method in order to show the efficiency of ICA. The results analysis reveals that the ICA based PID type AVR control system is effective and provides good terminal voltage oscillations damping ability. Moreover, it is superior that of the other SA method in terms of accuracy, convergence and computational effort.

Therefore, learning and recording movements accurately help to learn amateurs. In this paper, a portable system to record the obtained data of runners is presented. The presented system consists of an accelerometer and gyroscope sensor, a Bluetooth module as well as a processor that the data of three-dimensional angular velocity and linear acceleration sensors are read and recorded with the help of the small processor. This data is then stored in the processor and then sent to a Bluetooth module through the UART protocol. The data are sent to a personal computer for recording and simulation. The data are read using Matlab software and then illustrated. The results show that this system measures motion parameters for runners and can be calculated steps of movement. Recently, the wireless sensor networks have rapidly emerged into agriculture and greenhouse becau... more Recently, the wireless sensor networks have rapidly emerged into agriculture and greenhouse because of owing many advantages than the traditional methods. However, some subjects such as cost and power are being brought up as a controversial issue. This study presents a developed wireless sensor network based on a proposed algorithm to improve tomato crop in a greenhouse. The developed sensor nodes, which own low-power consumption and also low-cost, monitor parameters like temperature, humidity, CO, CO 2 and light intensity. The users define the minimum and maximum setpoints for the sensors to make an appropriate condition in the greenhouse. Also, the developed system was equipped with irrigation management that works based on time and date that maintain optimum water in the soil. The obtained results reveal that the amount of the tomato crops increases 30% than traditional methods after benefiting the developed system as well as the greenhouse experiences a decrease in consuming methane gas, water, and electricity as 30, 24 and 10% separately, in comparison to the traditional methods.

This paper presents a system to monitor heartbeat and respiration rate based on phonocardiogram b... more This paper presents a system to monitor heartbeat and respiration rate based on phonocardiogram by developing a mini wireless acoustic sensor. The developed sensor including two capacitor microphones, which one for recording the heartbeat by using a bell-shaped stethoscope and another one for respiration rate, a microcontroller and a transceiver which operates at the frequency of 2.54 GHz and Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. The presented system was tested on the several volunteers and the obtained results are compared to a gold standard to determine accuracy of the system. The results showed that root mean square errors (RMSEs) are obtained less than 2.27 beats per minutes and 0.92 breaths per minutes for the heartbeat and respiration rate, respectively. Also, the results reveal that the standard deviation of the errors (SDs) is determined less than 1.26 and 0.63 for heartbeat and respiration rate in turn. The system can be used for continuous vital sign monitoring in healthcare applications.

The sensory system includes two transmitter sensors and a central node, where each transmitter comprises three sensors of accelerometer, gyroscopes, and magnetometer to estimate the angular movements in the ankle and knee joints. By using a proposed filter, the angular variation is estimated in a personal computer employing the raw data of the motion sensors that are sent by the central node. The obtained results of the presented filter in comparison to an actual reference illustrate that the root mean square error is less than 1.01, 1.34, and 1.61 degrees, respectively, for the angles of and and that illustrate an improvement of 40% than the previous work. Moreover, a quantity value is defined based on the correlation between knee and ankle angles that show the amount of correctness in gating. Thus, the proposed system can be utilized for people who suffer problems in gait and help them to improve their movements. However, some subjects such as cost and power are being brought up as a controversial issue. This study presents a developed wireless sensor network based on a proposed algorithm to improve tomato crop in a greenhouse. The developed sensor nodes, which own low-power consumption and also low-cost, monitor parameters like temperature, humidity, CO, CO 2 and light intensity. The users define the minimum and maximum setpoints for the sensors to make an appropriate condition in the greenhouse. Also, the developed system was equipped with irrigation management that works based on time and date that maintain optimum water in the soil. The obtained results reveal that the amount of the tomato crops increases 30% than traditional methods after benefiting the developed system as well as the greenhouse experiences a decrease in consuming methane gas, water, and electricity as 30, 24 and 10% separately, in comparison to the traditional methods.

This paper presents a system to monitor heartbeat and respiration rate based on phonocardiogram b... more This paper presents a system to monitor heartbeat and respiration rate based on phonocardiogram by developing a mini wireless acoustic sensor. The developed sensor including two capacitor microphones, which one for recording the heartbeat by using a bell-shaped stethoscope and another one for respiration rate, a microcontroller and a transceiver which operates at the frequency of 2.54 GHz and Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. The presented system was tested on the several volunteers and the obtained results are compared to a gold standard to determine accuracy of the system. The results showed that root mean square errors (RMSEs) are obtained less than 2.27 beats per minutes and 0.92 breaths per minutes for the heartbeat and respiration rate, respectively. Also, the results reveal that the standard deviation of the errors (SDs) is determined less than 1.26 and 0.63 for heartbeat and respiration rate in turn. The system can be used for continuous vital sign monitoring in healthcare applications.

The sensory system includes two transmitter sensors and a central node, where each transmitter comprises three sensors of accelerometer, gyroscopes, and magnetometer to estimate the angular movements in the ankle and knee joints. By using a proposed filter, the angular variation is estimated in a personal computer employing the raw data of the motion sensors that are sent by the central node. The obtained results of the presented filter in comparison to an actual reference illustrate that the root mean square error is less than 1.01, 1.34, and 1.61 degrees, respectively, for the angles of and and that illustrate an improvement of 40% than the previous work. Moreover, a quantity value is defined based on the correlation between knee and ankle angles that show the amount of correctness in gating. Thus, the proposed system can be utilized for people who suffer problems in gait and help them to improve their movements.
