Paratuberculosis (John's disease) is infectious and chronically progressive granulomatous dis... more Paratuberculosis (John's disease) is infectious and chronically progressive granulomatous disease which affects domestic and wild ruminants. The causative agent is Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP), a slow growing mycobactin dependent acid-fast bacillus. We investigated the detection and frequency of MAP in apparently healthy dromedary and Bactrian camels by insertion sequence 900 (IS900) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and acid fast staining of fecal samples in Iran. Acid fast staining results showed that 6/50 (12.0%) samples of dromedary camels and 4/26 (15.3%) samples of Bactrian camels were suspected to MAP. Although the percentage of positivity for PCR assay of fecal dromedary camel was 8.0%, no bands corresponding to MAP detect in all samples of Bactrian camels. The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of Nosema apis (Nosemosis) in Arasba... more The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of Nosema apis (Nosemosis) in Arasbaran region-northwestern Iran (one of the important Beekeeping centre in Iran).the sampling was conducted on the beekeeping regions located in Arasbaran towns and villages in the three different seasons of spring, summer and fall in the year 2008. The rate of the infection was reached through counting the numbers of the nosema spores on the body of the bees. Out of 294 honey bee colonies, 72 cases were infected with nosema. The highest infection rate was observed to be in May (83.3%).The infection of the honey bee colonies was of its utmost level in the spring (59.5%), however the amount was considered to be low in the fall (0%) and in the summer (3.33%). The mountainous climate of the Northwestern Iran (such as Arasbaran) and the highest level of humidity in the spring bring about nosema spreads. The rate of the infection was reached through counting the numbers of the nosema spores on the body of the bees. Out of 294 honey bee colonies, 72 cases were infected with nosema. The highest infection rate was observed to be in May (83.3%).The infection of the honey bee colonies was of its utmost level in the spring (59.5%), however the amount was considered to be low in the fall (0%) and in the summer (3.33%). The mountainous climate of the Northwestern Iran (such as Arasbaran) and the highest level of humidity in the spring bring about nosema spreads. In contrast with the Mediterranean regions, in Arasbaran, due to the lack of humidity in the summer and fall, in these seasons the incidence of nosema is observed in very lower rates. The highest level of infection in the spring could be related not only to the highest humidity but also the decrease in the population of the colony and colony's vulnerability as a result of high parasite widespread in the area including Varroaris.

امروزه ساخت انواعی از نانوکامپوزیت‌ها، برای دستیابی به موادی که دارای خواص ترکیبی از ماده پایه و ... more امروزه ساخت انواعی از نانوکامپوزیت‌ها، برای دستیابی به موادی که دارای خواص ترکیبی از ماده پایه و ماده افزودنی باشند، مورد توجه محققان و مراکز تحقیقاتی قرار گرفته است. یکی از روش‌های ساخت نانوکامپوزیت‌ها استفاده از روش متالورژی پودر می باشد، زیرا با استفاده از این تکنیک علاوه بر کاهش ضایعات احتمالی، می‌توان موادی را که دارای نقطه‌ی ذوب بالا هستند با مواد دارای نقطه‌ی ذوب پایین تر ترکیب نمود که این کار با روش ریخته‌گری بسیار دشوار می باشد. در این تحقیق، آلیاژ تیتانیوم برای بهبود خواص مکانیکی با تقویت‌کننده‌ی کاربید سیلیسیم ترکیب شده و تشکیل یک نانو کامپوزیت داده است. در این تحقیق برای تولید این نانو کامپوزیت، از روش فشردن استاتیکی با استفاده از دستگاه پرس سرد استفاده شده است. برای بررسی تاثیر نانو کاربید سیلیسیم در خواص مکانیکی نمونه ها، سه درصد مختلف تقویت کننده‌ی نانوپودر کاربید سیلیسیم و همچنین، سه فشار کامپکت مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است. همچنین، آزمایش‌های چگالی، مشاهده مرزبندی دانه‌ها توسط میکروسکوپ الکترونی روبشی، تست فشار و آزمایش سختی برای استخراج خواص مکانیکی نمونه ها، انجام شده است. در نهایت نتایج آزمایش های انجام شده به همراه تحلیل نتایج ارائه شده است.
