This method is a population based meta-heuristic algorithm used for numerical optimization. It is based on the intelligent behavior of honey bees. Artificial Bee Colony algorithm is one of the most popular techniques that are used in optimization problems. Artificial Bee Colony algorithm has some major advantages over other heuristic methods. To utilize its good feature a number of researchers combined ABC algorithm with other methods, and generate some new hybrid methods. This paper provides comparative analysis of hybrid differential Artificial Bee Colony algorithm with hybrid ABC – SPSO, Genetic algorithm and Independent rough set approach based on some parameters like technique, dimension, methodology etc.

This enables the use of MCC as a filler for engineering thermoplastics in automotive and food packaging industries. Ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) and polyamide 6 (Nylon) were compounded with MCC in a twinscrew extruder. Weight content of MCC, screw speed and screw configurations were varied as process parameters to apply low and high shear forces to the material during processing. As a result, flexural properties increased overall in comparison with the pristine material with increasing filler content and increasing shear force.

Most programs running in a data center processes big data. e storage requirements of such programs cannot be fullled by a single node in the data center, and hence a distributed le system is used where the the storage resource are pooled together from more than one node and presents a unied view of it to outside world. Optimum performance of these distributed le-systems given a workload is of paramount important as disk being the slowest component in the framework. Owning to this fact, many big data processing frameworks implement their own le-system to get the optimal performance by ne tuning it for their specic workloads. However, ne-tuning a le system for a particular workload results in poor performance for workloads that do not match the prole of desired workload. Hence, these le systems cannot be used for general purpose usage, where the workload characteristics shows high variation. In this paper we model the...

In this work, very thin highly aligned CNT-SLW (thickness ~ 2.5 μm) with aerial density of 2.0 μg/cm were horizontally drawn from vertically aligned CNTs forests and positioned over an adhesive film and placed between two non-conductive composite adherents, followed by the application of heat and pressure to form the joint. These joints were subjected to quasistatic loading to investigate the influences of CNT-SLW orientation on the damage sensing performance .

In this article, we develop a Long Short-Term memory based Recurrent Neural network model to predict intensity (in terms of maximum sustained surface wind speed), location (latitude and longitude), and time (in hours after the observation period) of the landfall of a tropical cyclone which originates in the North Indian ocean. The model takes as input the best track data of cyclone consisting of its location, pressure, sea surface temperature, and intensity for certain hours (from 12 to 36 hours) anytime during the course of the cyclone as a time series and then provide predictions with high accuracy. For example, using 24 hours data of a cyclone anytime during its course, the model provides state-of-the-art results by predicting landfall intensity, time, latitude, and longitude with a mean absolute error o...

The objective of the present investigation was to explore the potential of the solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) for oral delivery of resveratrol, a natural polyphenol that faces problems of low and variable oral bioavailability. Resveratrol loaded stearic acid-based SLNs (RLNs) coated with poloxamer 188 were produced successfully by solvent diffusion–solvent evaporation method. RLNs had smooth surface with an average diameter of 134 ± 7.6 nm with a zeta potential of − 34.3 ± 2.5 mV. The encapsulation efficiency of resveratrol in RLNs was found to be 88.9 ± 3.1%, showed prolonged drug release in vitro up to ~ 120 h and followed Higuchi kinetics. Pharmacokinetic parameters were evaluated using reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) after oral administration of RLNs and a resveratrol control in Wistar male rats. The lipid formulation produced a significant 8.035 fold improvement in the oral bioavailability of resveratrol as compared to drug suspension. Thus, stearic acid-based RLNs could act as promising sustained release system with enhanced bioavailability for resveratrol after oral administration.

A problem called the inheritance anomaly arises when synchronization constraints are implemented within the methods of a class and an attempt is made to specialize methods through inheritance.

These CIR-High Speed Stream (HSS) structures of enhanced density and magnetic fields, when they impinge up on the Earth’s magnetosphere, can cause recurrent geomagnetic storms in the Geospace environment. In this study, we investigate the influence of two CIR-driven recurrent geomagnetic storms on the equatorial and low-latitude ionosphere in the context of the development of equatorial plasma bubbles over Indian and Asian longitudes. The results consistently indicate that prompt penetration of eastward electric fields into equatorial and low-latitudes under southward IMF Bz can occur even during the CIR-driven storms. Further, the penetration of eastward electric fields augments the evening pre-reversal enhancement and triggers the development of EPBs over wide longitudinal sectors where the local post-sunset hours coincide with the main phase of the storm. Similar results that are consistently observed during both the CIR-driven geomagnetic storms are reported and discussed in this paper.

The objective of the present article is to report an unusual complication of spinal instrumentation. Migration of spinal implants to distant site is quite unusual, and literature till date has only 2 case reports. For the first time, we are reporting a case of anterior spinal rod migration from the dorsolumbar spine to the knee joint in a young male patient after 4 years of its fixation following spinal injury. A 38-year-old man presented with pain, swelling, and restriction of movement of left knee joint. On clinical examination, a hard movable rod was palpable which was suspected to be a metallic foreign body initially. The detailed history of the patient revealed anterior spinal fixation following posttraumatic injury of L1 vertebra 4 years back. Radiograph showed a metallic rod lying around the knee joint with absence of anterior rod of dorsolumbar spine. The suspicion of migration of the rod was confirmed by surgical exploration. After 1 week of rem...
