The selected urban markets were Bida, Minna, and Kontagora, and their adjunct markets were Lafene, Zungeru, and Manigi, respectively. Model build on the assumption of linear and symmetric price transmission was used to analyze the data. The stationarity tests showed that the price series of all the variables were integrated of order one. The cointegration test results of the markets both at horizontal and vertical integrated levels proved that despite that, these markets were spatially separated geographically; they were well connected in terms of price transmission across them. It was observed that price changes are temporary and would converge to equilibrium within a given time span. However, Bida market was found to me more pricing and operational efficiency when compared to its counterparts because of its close proximity to the largest terminal markets for cowpea in the country, i.e., Lagos state and other states in the southwest of Nigeria. Furthermore, the price signals across the zones and value chain will be well transmitted, indicating that price changes in one zone are consistently related to the price changes in other zones and are able to influence the prices in other zones. However, the direction and intensity of price changes may be affected by the dynamic linkages between the demand and supply of cowpea. A proper focus on domestic supply management along with international trade coupled with strong market surveillance and intelligence efforts would help control escalating prices and also help in minimizing the distortions widening the gap between the wholesale and retail prices of cowpea.

Over the past ten years, there has been a lot of discussion around the idea of vulnerability in rural Africa. The literature on livelihoods has paid far less attention to the resilience idea, which was adopted from the ecological literature. It is against this background that this research, themed "Livelihood vulnerability resilience capacity of the rural economy of Nigeria's Bauchi state", was conceptualized for the purpose of charting a realistic sustainable livelihood policy course in the study area. Using a well-structured questionnaire coupled with an interview schedule to elicit information from a total of 322 households selected through a multi-stage random sampling technique, the specified objectives of the research were achieved using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Empirically, good possession of livelihoods assets viz. natural, human and financial capitals makes majority of households adopt adaptive strategies viz. diversification and intensification, so as to spread their consumption failure risks. Besides, the effect of adaptive capacity lessens the proportion of households with vulnerable livelihoods. However, the masking effect of food insecurity on adaptive capacity worsens the resilience capacity of households to livelihood vulnerability, consequently, the resultant heightened poor livelihood sustainability security that marred the rural economy. Therefore, the study advises policymakers to enhance the pillars that buffer livelihood vulnerability resilience capacity, given the empirical justification that resilience capacity has a significant direct influence on short-term, mid-term, long-term food securities and sustainable livelihoods in the study area.

In theory, this means indefinite sustainability, but in practice, it can be helpful to project out enough years after exit (project completion) to be able to make some predictions about long-term change long enough to illustrate whether the project appears to be sustainable. Considering resource constraints and multiple livelihood assistance needs, many livelihood support organizations are increasingly realizing that they cannot fund and sustain any one initiative continuously. We should be able to quit responsibly once we've met our objectives, sure that our livelihood support results will not be jeopardized. Real-time data streams can be derived as meaningful and scalable enough to enable real-time healthcare predictive analytics thanks to the new technology approach in distributed messaging and Blockchain, which has become a fundamental component of many healthcare technology stacks. Additionally, absorbing data streams from multiple sources from patterns of data can enhance models that are hampered by complex and lengthy analyses by raising the level of prediction and accuracy. Improved responses, lowered availability requirements, and unified predictive modeling will speed up healthcare interoperability and, in turn, improve diagnosis accuracy, move evidence-based medicine (EBM) in the right direction, and produce other positive effects on healthcare that improve best results and quality. The ongoing advancement of technology based on sophisticated machine learning and methods that can identify intricate patterns in data undoubtedly benefits this. A sophisticated model that can automate diagnosis could be created utilizing pooled healthcare data thanks to the quickly developing field of artificial intelligence. Additionally, customizing therapies and directing resources with maximum effectiveness in a timely and dynamic manner facilitates a more precise approach to medicine. Regrettably, a number of significant problems prevent AI's unambiguous affirmation. These range from the dearth of clinical studies that can show its dependability and superior effectiveness compared to conventional systems to the difficulties associated with allocating blame in the event of medical errors. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, growth model, instability index, Hazell decomposition model, Nerlovian's model and ARIMA model. Empirical evidence showed that the growth in the production trend of soyabean in Nigeria is majorly driven by an increase in the area and not yield which is not favorable for sustainable soyabean food security in the country. Furthermore, risk and uncertainty were observed to be the major source of instability in the production of soyabean in the country. Therein, the risk impacted negatively on the area allocation decision of the soyabean farmers in the studied area. The forecasted production trend showed that the country's soyabean production will observe a paradigm shift from the area as the major driver of production to yield. Thus, technology will be the major driver of soyabean production in Nigeria. The trend if sustained will be a breakthrough for the country's soyabean food security and will curtail the incessant farmers/herders clashes and tenurial conflicts owing to high pressure and competing demand for arable land for other purposes. Therefore, policies which will convert one-quarter of the arable land to other agricultural uses should be welcome as the future production trend of soyabean will be driven by technological advancement. In addition, the government should do more in subsidizing farm inputs in order to enhance farmers' term of trade, thereby wading-off the risks that negatively impacted on the acreage allocation decision of the producers.

Using an easy-route cost approach, data were collected through a structured questionnaire complemented with an interviews schedule. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to synthesis the data. From the empirical findings, it was established that high poverty incidence permeates the actors engaged in processing along the rice value chain. Besides, most of the processors were multidimensional deprived in more than 50% of the total deprivation. Further, food insecurity was of high concern among the par-boilers unlike the millers were almost half of the sampled population were food secured. Nevertheless, most of the processors adopted survival strategy to stay afloat in livelihood sustenance given the poor access of majority to livelihood capital assets. A further investigation revealed that the processors' livelihood was challenged by a large vulnerable household size, thus exacerbate the pressure of household's population on the available resources. Therefore, the study advise that the production credit should be supplemented with a consumption credit in order to enhance the productivity of the resources deployed by the processors in the rice value, thus enhancing their livelihoods and sustainability of the value chain. In addition, the processors need to be sensitized on the imperativeness of a sustainable household size for a better livelihood in the study area.

This study aimed to assess the agro-input supply sector in Kogi state. A total of 157 input dealers were randomly selected across the twenty-one local government areas in the state. Data were collected using well-structured questionnaire complemented with interview schedule and were analyzed using simple descriptive statistics. Findings reveal that agro-chemicals, fertilizer and feed were the major inputs supplied by most of the retailers and wholesalers that hardly engage in activities that create awareness about their products. Input prices were the most important preference and consideration factor in the purchase of agro-input by customers and form the basis for competition. Casual, family and child labors that proved to be cheaper, commonly accessible...
