In an encryption algorithm the original message or information called plaintext is given as input to form ciphertext. Decryption is the process of transforming ciphertext into plaintext. Here ciphertext is the input to the decryption algorithm and it generates plaintext as output. Cryptographic algorithms are classified as symmetric and asymmetric. This paper presents a symmetric cryptographic algorithm for data encryption and decryption based on ASCII values of characters in the plaintext. This algorithm encrypts the plaintext using their ASCII values. The secret key is converted to another string and that string is used as a key to encrypt or decrypt the data. Keywords—Encryption, Decryption, ASCII, symmetric cryptography, plaintext, ciphertext, key.

WSN consists of a large number of sensor nodes which are deployed over an area to perform local computations based on information gathered from surroundings and send this information to the main location. Each sensor node is equipped with a limited battery-power. The energy, the storage capacity and communication capability of sensor nodes are very limited. It is almost difficult to change or replace the battery. One of the fundamental design challenges in designing a Wireless Sensor Network is to maximize the network lifetime. To overcome this challenge, different methods were developed in last few years. The main objective in designing of WSN is to maximize the lifetime of WSN through minimizing the energy. There are different energy-efficient Clustering algorithms which prolongs the efficiency of WSN. Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) Protocol, Particle swarm optimization (PSO), Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm are different clustering mechanisms used to improve the efficiency of WSN. This paper discusses these three algorithms and compares this three with each other.

Machines are connected over a network in the IIoT. Cloud computing plays an essential role by connecting people, devices, work processes, and buildings to deliver cloud services in industries. But cloud computing faces a problem with task scheduling, high latency delay, and memory management, affecting the overall cost of industries using cloud services. A major concern in the cloud computing field is task scheduling which is essential for achieving cost-effective execution and improving resource usage. It refers to assigning available resources to user tasks. This problem can be solved effectively by improving task execution and increasing the use of resources. The waiting time between a client’s sent request and a cloud service provider to give a response, known as latency, is another issue in cloud environments. In cloud computing, this delay can b...

Improving the lifetime is one objective of any wireless sensor network. There are different solutions to fulfill this objective. Clustering approach is one solution clustering algorithm is used to create the cluster of the nodes and select the cluster head to perform the data collection and transmission operation. LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) are examples of clustering algorithms. A sensor node requires more energy for transmission rather than sensing and processing the information. Hence, data compression is another solution used to transfer lesser bits to final location. In this paper, we proposed a model where we use both clustering algorithm and compression algorithm to increase the Life of Wireless Sensor Network. To form a cluster we use a PSO clustering algorithm and to compress the data into smaller bits we use a Huffman compression algorithm.
