It occurs due to acute/chronic local irritation, trauma or hormonal factors. Pyogenic granulomas are generally observed in head and neck areas in children and young adults. It is difficult to distinguish pyogenic granuloma from other vascular and malignant lesions due to its histological characteristics. Here in, we present a 69 year old male patient referred to our hospital with a lesion in the diameters of 12x9mm on the ventral side of the sulcus coronarius. Even though the age of the patient, lesion location and aetiology were not usual in the literature, the case was reported as pyogenic granuloma due to the histopathological excision examination.

Material and methods: The study was performed between January and May 2017 on 64 patients aged between 40 and 65 years with complaints of mixed type incontinence. The patients were separated into two groups according to their urodynamic data. Translabial ultrasonography was performed in both groups. Results: Mean age of the patients was 51.19±7.01 years, and mean body mass index was 26.69±2.02 kg/ m 2. The patients were separated into two groups as those with (n=33) or without (n=31) stress urinary incontinence based on urodynamic findings (despite the presence of mixed urinary incontinence complaints, stress urinary incontinence and detrusor overactivity associated with incontinence could not be detected in the urodynamic study). Average x descend, y descend and bladder neck mobilization values detected with translabial ultrasonography were found to be statistically significantly higher in the urodynamic stress incontinence group. There was an opposite-directional, 37.6% and statistically significant relation between maximum cystometric capacity and x descend parameters. Y descend values and bladder neck mobilization of females with negative Q-tip test were found to be statistically significantly lower than females with positive Q-tip test. Conclusion: As a complementary examination tool in the evaluation of urinary incontinence translabial ultrasonography may become one of the main diagnostic evaluation tools in the future.

Patients with suggested diagnosis of secondary nocturnal enuresis should be examined for neurological and spinal anomalies and diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, renal failure and urinary tract infection should be ruled out in differential diagnosis (1-3). Herein, we are presenting case reports of adolescent patients with secondary nocturnal enuresis refractory to medical therapy and developed after in-vehicle and extravehicular accidents.

Therefore, we sought to investigate the renoprotective effects of darbepoetin alfa on unilateral ureteral obstructions. METHODS We used 12 female and 12 male 3-monthold Wistar rats weighing between 250 and 350 g. The rats were divided equally into sham, darbepoetin and control groups. With the exception of the sham group, left unilateral obstructions were applied to all of the rats. The darbepoetin group received perioperative darbepoetin alfa at a dose of 10 mg/kg. The rats were sacrificed on postoperative day 7, and 3-cc blood samples and bilateral renal specimens were collected from each rat. RESULTS Renal ectasia was observed significantly less frequently in the darbepoetin group than the obstruction group (p<0.001). Additionally, the uptake rates of cortical TNF and medullary SMA in the darbepoetin group were comparable to those in...

In this study, we investigated the relationship between anogenital distance and prostate cancer (PCa). Methods: 52 patients diagnosed with PCa and 60 patients with benign prostate hyperplasia as a control group were included in the study. AGDAP (cephalad insertion of the penis to the center of the anus) and AGDAS (posterior base (first fold) of the scrotum to the center of the anus) measurements of patients were done and noted before biopsy. Results: The mean ages of 52 patients diagnosed with PCa and 60 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) were 67.70 ± 7.74 and 67.03 ± 7.89, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference in terms of age and serum testosterone levels of the patients diagnosed with prostate cancer or BPH (p > 0.05). Mean PSA values of patients diagnosed with prostate cancer wto be statistically higher than...

It is still a concern for today's urologists because it cannot be distinguished from malignant testicular tumors by clinical symptoms, routine examination and imaging methods. Because of the predominant benign nature of paratesticular masses, testicular preservative treatments get to the foreground. However, the fact that virtually all of the solid scrotal masses are malignant and are treated with radicel ingainel orchiectomy (RIO) remains a cause of concern. In this study, we discuss the diagnosis and treatment of 12 paratesticular adenomatoid tumors treated between 2012 and 2017 in two centres. We suggest that a frozen section should be done with the help of an experienced pathologist; and a meticulous microscopic evaluation should be the gold standard in case of a benign tumor suspicion.

However, it is considered that weight loss resolve these symptoms. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of bariatric surgery and especially Sleeve gastrectomy (SG) on women's LUTS, and quality of life. Materials and Methods A total of 53 patients who have undergone laparoscopic SG in our clinics between April 2014 and March 2015 were included in this prospective study. Age, body weight and body mass index (BMI) of the participants were preoperatively and postoperatively recorded. The patients have pre/ post-operatively filled the Beck depression inventory (BDI), International prostate symptom score (IPSS), International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Short Form (ICIQ-SF) and the 36-Item Short Form health survey (SF-36) scores were recorded. Additionally, post-operative decrease in body weight and BMI of the patients was recorded. More than 50% of the men experience episodes of prostatitis at one time of their lives. Patients with CP typically have longlasting genitourinary/pelvic pain and obstructive and/or irritative voiding symptoms. In children, acquired nephrogenic DI (NDI) is more common than central DI (CDI). Diagnosis is based on the presence of high plasma osmolality and low urinary osmolality with significant water diuresis. A water deprivation test with vasopressin challenge, though has limitations, is done to differentiate NDI from CDI and diagnose their incomplete forms. Neonates and young infants are better managed with hydration therapy alone. Older children with CDI are treated with desmopressin (1-deamino-8-D-arginine vasopressin, dDAVP). Its oral form is safe, highly effective and has dosing flexibility. We report a case of an 8-year-old male patient with CDI with severe bilateral non-obstructive hydronephrosis and megaureter. Dramatic clinical and radiological responses to dDAVP treatment were achieved and therapy reduced ...

Thrombosis or thrombophlebitis of the superficial dorsal vein of the penis is called penile Mondo... more Thrombosis or thrombophlebitis of the superficial dorsal vein of the penis is called penile Mondor's disease. Although many factors are suggested as the etiology, but it has not been clarified yet. Hypersensitivity reactions may predispose to this complication in some patients; and it results from the formation of antigen-antibody immune complexes in the circulation as a consequence of the penetration of antigenic debris into the circulation due to pruritus-related excoriations caused by parasitic infestations like scabies. Herein, we present a case of isolated superficial dorsal penile vein thrombosis developing due to scabies infestation without any additional thrombogenic factors. Conservative approach and medical treatment were sufficient in the successful treatment of scabietic penile Mondor's disease.

Herein, we reported a 59-year-old female patient consulted to our outpatient clinic with the incidents of hematuria. During cystoscopic examination, a yellow-coloured mass lesion with smooth contours on the right posterolateral wall of the bladder was observed. Histopathological examination of the specimen demonstrated mature adipose tissue contained within submucosal layer without bladder wall invasion. Bladder lipomas are rarely seen pure benign masses which almost all reported ones were men. We think that female cases should also be taken into consideration for differential diagnosis presenting with hematuria.
