The framework suggested a balance between business and environmental interests in maintaining an ecological system with the moderating help of government support and policy interventions. The study population encompasses tourism stakeholders, including tourists, representatives from local communities, members of civil administration, hoteliers, and tour operators serving the areas. A total of 650 questionnaires were distributed to respondents, along with a brief description of key study variables to develop a better understanding. After verifying the instrument's reliability and validity, data analysis was conducted via hierarchical regression. The study findings revealed that a substantial number of people perceive socioeconomic benefits, including employment and business openings, infrastructure development from tourism development, and growth. However, the state of the natural and environmental capital was found to be gradually degrading. Alongside the social environment, social vulnerability is reported due to the overutilization of land, intrusion from external cultures, and pollution in air and water due to traffic congestion, accumulation of solid waste, sewage, and carbon emissions. The study suggested a model framework for the development of sustained ecotourism, including supportive government policy interventions to ensure effective conservation of environmental and natural resources without compromising the economic viability and social well-beings of the locals. Furthermore, the variables and the constructs researched can be replicated to other destinations to seek valuable inputs for sustainable destination management elsewhere.

Ciphertext Policy-Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE) provides a one-to-many access control mechanism by defining an attribute’s policy over ciphertext. Although, all users satisfying the policy are given access to the same data, this limits its usage in the provision of hierarchical access control and in situations where different users/actors need to have granular access of the data. Moreover, most of the existing CP-ABE schemes either provide static access control or in certain cases the policy update is computationally intensive involving all non-revoked users to actively participate. Aiming to tackle both the challenges, this paper proposes a patient-centric multi message CP-ABE scheme with efficient policy update. One of these alternative source is ecofuels which are solid, liquid, or gaseous fuels primarily produced from biomass. The solid ecofuels include wood, animal dung, municipal waste, and energy crops. Similarly, liquid ecofuels are biodiesel and bioethanol. Similarly, gaseous biofuels include biogas and biohydrogen. Due to renewability and environmental sustainability the share of ecofuel in automobile sector will grow fast in the next era. In this chapter feedstocks and prospect of solid, liquid, and gaseous ecofuel will be discussed.

These internet-based applications can run on the distributed healthcare sensing system, which combines mobile computing, edge computing and cloud computing. Offloading and scheduling are the required methods in the distributed network. However, a security issue exists and it is hard to run different types of tasks (e.g., security, delay-sensitive, and delay-tolerant tasks) of IoMT applications on heterogeneous computing nodes. This work proposes a new healthcare architecture for workflow applications based on heterogeneous computing nodes layers: an application layer, management layer, and resource layer. The goal is to minimize the makespan of all applications. Based on these layers, the work proposes a secure offloading-efficient task scheduling (SEOS) algorithm framework, which includes the deadline division method, task sequencing rules, homomorphic security scheme, initial schedul...

The batch mode laboratory scale experiments were conducted to investigate the removal efficiency of Pinus bark against total arsenic and the effect of pH, contact time, adsorbent dose and initial adsorbate concentration on adsorption to optimize the process. Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were used to validate the adsorption data and respective constants were evaluated. The removal efficiency was found to be dependent on pH, adsorbent dose, contact time and initial concentration. The maximum arsenic uptake was 95 % at pH 4, 40 g L-1 adsorbent dose and 90 minutes contact time. The Freundlich constants, Kf and n were found to be 3.5 mg g-1 and 0.529, respectively. The results obtained in this study clearly demonstrate the potential of Pinus roxburghii Sarg. bark for the arsenic removal from aqueous solutions.

In Saskatchewan, there are 50,598 farm enterprises with 123,385 household residents, representing 12.6% of the total population of the province. 7 Farming is seasonal and an entire year's income depends upon getting the crop harvested, except for those with dairy, poultry or hogs. Many farms are family operations and children are expected to contribute to the running of the farm. Seniors over the age of 65 in Saskatchewan comprise 22% of the population of towns and villages versus 15% in cities. 8 Saskatchewan reports the highest male and female potential years of life lost due to unintentional injury in Canada. 9 In this study, we examined the burden and trends in injury mortality rates in the farm population in the province of Saskatchewan over a 14-year period. We also examined circumstances surrounding fatality events. METHODS We used farm fatality data for the province of Saskatchewan from January 1990 to December 2004 available from the Saskatchewan collaborators of the Canadian Agricultural Injury Surveillance Program (CAISP). Under Section 13 of The Coroners Act, the Coroner conducts investigation into all sudden, unexpected and unnatural deaths occurring in the province of Saskatchewan. Fatality data were identified from the existing mortality databases of the Chief
