The multiplicator H 2 (L/I n , k) of L/I n is not finitely generated, and so in particular, L/I n is not finitely presented, even when L/I is finite dimensional.

This applies in particular to primary components of prime degree, thus producing examples of division algebras of prime degree that are not cyclic.

Its open ideals are precisely the finitely generated essential ones. Finitely generated right ideals are closed and the Leavitt numbers of the associated localization are 1 and n-1. The proofs are, for the most part, applications of Schreier's method.
