Many a times the terms Quality of Life (QOL), subjective well being/well being, happiness, life s... more Many a times the terms Quality of Life (QOL), subjective well being/well being, happiness, life satisfaction, good life are used synonymously, they do overlap conceptually [1]. However QOL is a multidimensional rather than unidirectional concept. It looks into many domains and facets that have an impact on lifestyle. Every culture has different factors affecting QOL like in Japan interpersonal trust is significantly associated with QOL [2.] Quality of life as a measure of health is therefore a broad concept and is concerned with whether disease or impairment limits a person's ability to accomplish a normal role (for example, whether the inability to climb stairs limits a person at work).However, the measures do not consider how people arrive at these judgments [3]. On 31st December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) China Country Office was informed of c... more On 31st December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) China Country Office was informed of cases of pneumonia of unknown aetiology detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province of China.(1) The first cases of COVID-19 outside of China were identified on January 30 in India and it has spread to 210 countries in all world regions by 10th April 2020, with more than 1.6 million confirmed and more than 0.1 million deaths worldwide.(2) Disasters and pandemics pose exceptional challenges to providing health care. Though telemedicine will not solve them all, it is well suited for scenarios in which medical practitioners can evaluate and manage patients. Previous work has specifically described the potential for using telemedicine in disasters and public health emergencies, wherein Patients prioritize convenient and inexpensive care, whether in-person visits becomes the last option for meeting patient needs.(3,4)

Currently, an estimated 3 billion people live in the 24 countries, mainly in the WHO South-East A... more Currently, an estimated 3 billion people live in the 24 countries, mainly in the WHO South-East Asia and Western Pacific Regions, considered at risk of JE. The case-fatality rate can be as high as 30%, with 20-30% of survivors suffering permanent intellectual, behavioral, or neurological problems. Overall annual incidence in endemic countries has been estimated at 5.4/100000 in the 0–14 year age group, and 0.6/100000 in those aged more than 15years.In lack of convincing data on actual disease burden due to inappropriate diagnostic facilities and strong quality surveillance mechanism for the virus in India, some researchers has shown there concern to continue a national program to control a highly localized illness with around 1000 cases and 200 odd deaths every year.
