Healthcare is the right of every individual but lack of quality infrastructure, dearth of qualifi... more Healthcare is the right of every individual but lack of quality infrastructure, dearth of qualified medical functionaries, and non-access to basic medicines and medical facilities thwarts its reach to 60% of population in India. Due to non accessibility to public health care and low quality of health care services, a majority of people in India turn to the local private health sector as their first choice of care. To control the spread of diseases and reduce the growing rates of mortality due to lack of adequate health facilities, special attention needs to be given to the health care in rural areas. Various organizations are coming together for improvements in health care and technology plays a crucial role to facilitate this. Information and communications Technology provides hosts of solutions for successful implementation of these changes. Access to healthcare services is critical to good health, yet rural residents face a variety of access barriers. Ideally, residents should be able to conveniently and confidently access services such as primary care, dental care, behavioral health, emergency care, and public health services. The vast variations of rural–urban, class, caste, gender and Health Needs regional variations hide the magnitude of health deprivation of large masses of the most disenfranchised. Government hospital at district, CHS or PHC levels, are resorted and devalued by absenteeism and rudeness of staff, long waits, overcrowding, sub–standard or no medicines and corruption. Rural communities and healthcare facilities have limited resources to address many health-related needs. This paper based on the qualitative in nature. This article has outlined the major challenges facing rural health around the world, reviewed the problems experienced with primary health care and Health for All programmes, highlighted the pivotal role of family practice, and addressing the rural health in international level. Social workers living and working in rural areas, will find the participants' shared practice wisdom useful to enhance their professional endeavors with some of the millions of people living across the country.

The legislature is responsible for making laws that would benefit the citizens of the country. The executive is responsible for the implementation of the government policies and programmes. The judiciary examines the omissions and commissions and safeguards the interest of the people. The governments must align the laws of their country with international or regional treaties. The state is responsible for undertaking appropriate legislative, administrative, social and educational measures to prevent and protect children from maltreatment. The role of civil society in the promotion and protection of human rights has gained increasing attention of the scholars and various stakeholders. The civil society can also play a decisive role in raising public awareness about the prevention of child rights violation and promotion of child rights. The civil society has to play to pro-active role in the protection of child rights in a pluralistic society like India. There are four categories of child rights such as civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights. provided meaningful norms and guidelines for the protection of child rights all over the world. The UN Convention contains about 54 articles covering a wide variety of rights of the protection/ welfare and the autonomy aspects. The World Summit for Children (1991) was convened in New York in order to take stock of the universal child rights protection. The United Nations bodies and specialized agencies were enabled to take active part in the deliberations and provide useful norms and guidelines for the protection of children. Concerted efforts are required to ensure global action for child rights protection in the new millennium.

It emphasized that educators have a responsibility to ensure to provide meaningful and constructive education which contributes to the promotion of equity, peace and the universal realization of human rights. The people must be given child rights education in media institutions which should be strategically planned for the long term using participatory and interactive communication strategies. The role of media in the human rights protection has been widely investigated by the scholars over a period of time. In particular, the child rights protection has become a challenging task of our times since child rights are violated in one way or the other mainly due to lack of political will and indifferent attitude of the stakeholders in the world. The media institutions have a social responsibility of sensitizing the policy makers, administrators, teachers, parents and other stakeholders in regard to the means and methods of child rights protection which has several dimensions. The educational institutions can also organize child rights awareness programmes through seminars, conferences, debates and discussions. Selflearning materials such as booklets, house journals, graphic aids, flashcards, flip charts, slides, transparencies and video films can be used to provide child rights education in the society. FDI an important and vital component of development strategy in both developed and developing nat... more FDI an important and vital component of development strategy in both developed and developing nations and policies are designed in order to stimulate inward flows Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows are usually preferred over other forms of external finance because they are non-debt creating, non-volatile and their returns depend on the performance of the projects financed by the investors. Foreign direct investment (FDI) has boomed in post-reform India. Moreover, the composition and type of FDI has changed considerably since India has opened up to world markets and sharp rise in investment flows from 2005 towards because of the new policy has broadened.This has fuelled high expectations that FDI may serve as a catalyst to higher economic growth. This paper aims to examine the impact of FDI on the Indian economy, particularly from periods 1990 to 2013. Results of the study found that coefficient value of inward FDI is positive and it is statistically significant at one percent level. At the same time ccoefficient value of outward FDI isnegative and it isnot statistically significant.

Many countries provide many incentives for attracting the foreign direct investment (FDI). Need of FDI depends on saving and investment rate in any country. Foreign Direct investments act as a bridge to fulfill the gap between investment and saving. In the process of economic development foreign capital helps to cover the domestic saving constraint and provide access to the superior technology that promote efficiency and productivity of the existing production capacity and generate new production opportunity.Global economic environment is changing rapidly during the last two decades. This change is reflected in widening and intensifying international linkages in trade and FDI. Various countries are now favoring economic reforms for attaining rapid and sustained growth. The scope for transnational production has expended due to reduction of the barriers to international trade and the various regional integration agreements between the different countries. Trade and FDI complements to each other then it might lead to greater competitiveness of the foreign market and this is beneficial to exports from host country and therefore to its industries.An attempt has been made in this paper to study the relationship between FDI, trade in goods and trade in services of India. Regression test has been employed to test relationship between FDI, trade in goods and trade in services of India. The results suggest that there is a significant linear relationship between FDI (Inward and Outward), Trade in goods and Trade in services of India. The coefficient value of in ward and outward FDI of India was statistically significant at 1 per cent level and coefficient value of inward and outward FDI is very high for Trade in services comparing to Trade in goods.

The empowerment of women is a multi-dimensional aspect which demands active participation of various stakeholders in a developing nation like India. Series of Constitutional protective and promotional measures are designed and implemented in India to achieve the goal of empowerment of women. In the present times women studies has become an important branch of academic mainstream in India. Recently series of innovative approaches are adopted to ensure equality of opportunity and empowerment of women in all respects. Gender justice is considered as a vital necessity in India. Educational empowerment includes training, orientation and academic progress of women. The physical empowerment of women includes food, nutrition, health, sanitation, life expectancy and growth. The social empowerment of women includes better status in the family, freedom for marriage, right to property, social mobility, social freedom, family welfare, social transformation and gender equity. The economic empowerment of women includes ownership and control of research right to property, employability, improvement in the standard of living, fulfilment of basic needs, entrepreneurship development and improvement of bargaining power of women. The legal empowerment of women includes constitutional protection, fundamental rights, protection against gender based discrimination, women specific laws, women courts and other safety measures. The political empowerment includes political reservation, political participation and political leadership development of women. The spiritual empowerment includes emancipation from superstitions, misbelieves, customs, traditions and unhealthy practices that safeguard the interest of women. In the present times, state, civil society, universities, media institutions, social organizations, judicial organizations, non-government organizations and other institutions are called upon to work together to achieve the goal of empowerment of women in India. Series of intellectual, research and developmental initiatives are also developed with a view to empower women in all respects.
