The specific goal of this article is to measure the impact of the performance of universities in South East Europe and the likelihood of obtaining EU programmes, specifically Horizon 2020 projects. The additional aim is to investigate whether highranking universities are successful in obtaining Horizon 2020 projects and, more specifically, if university performance is a significant factor in the success rate in obtaining Horizon 2020 projects. In order to analyse this phenomenon empirically, we compare the main public universities of South East Europe and consider their overall performance in relation to EU programmes obtained. The final outcome of the paper is that there is a clear relationship between the university performance and obtaining Horizon 2020 projects. Therefore, the high performance of a university positively correlates with a high success rate in obtaining Horizon 2020 projects for most of the universities.

According to this, we are witnesses that the transition countries (or developing countries) all around the world and especially in the Balkans, have faced and are still fighting with various negative phenomena that belong to the macroeconomic level. These negative factors have affected and left many consequences on society, causing a large percent (%) of poverty, social destabilization, social dissatisfaction and thus a large number of immigrants. One of those phenomena is unemployment, which will be elaborated through this paper, where for its realization I have made a research in Kosovo's town of Peja. The information's that are contained in the paper will give you answers to many questions and dilemmas that concern all people around the world and especially the citizens of Peja. What are the reasons of the high level of unemployment? Why the unemployment rate rises every day instead of subtracted? Is that percent (%) of unemployment due to wrong actions of our politicians? Does the education level have impact on unemployment rate? Are "interventions" one of the reasons of unemployment?Do family businesses affect the unemployment of capable people (qualified)? Answers to these and many other questions you will get through this paper.

This research aims to identify the role of language strategy in international business relations in order to better understand the importance of knowing the most pronounced and influential languages in trade in goods and services in all business segments. Despite recognizing the importance of English language skills and their role in international business relations, there is still room for further research on this issue. Of course, there are studies on the relationship between language and international business, but little has been elaborated on the impact of language on international business relations. In order to assess the current situation, initial dedicated sampling was conducted with the aim of collecting and generating data. The goal, however, is to clarify and confirm explanatory analyzes that reveal the process inherent in the material area of research. Qualitative and quantitative data of analogous research in the environment and beyond were used for generating, i.e. collecting and analyzing data. For simplicity and clarity of results, the theoretical sample collected from different sources was processed by IBM SPSS Statistics. All the above indicators take as a starting point the language and competencies in this area, and therefore a clear possibility has been created for the data to be presented quantitatively on a predominantly qualitative basis. Our research shows that, since language barriers have a profound impact on international business, successfully adapting to the new language(s) yields positive results. For these reasons, we advocate more multidisciplinary studies that require in-depth research at different levels in the field, with a proposal to pay more attention to field theorizing and means of analysis.

A probit model is used to analyse the innovation pattern in 100 Kosovo manufacturing and exporting SMEs. They export to the EU and regional countries’ markets. Our data shows that there is a link between the type of product innovation and the increase in exports. Incremental innovation shows a strong positive relationship with export growth of these SMEs , a result should prove helpful to both researchers of SME product innovation and managers of exporting SMEs. This study addresses the current gap that is present in the Western Balkan literature by evaluating the impact of product innovation on SMEs export performance.

It is obvious that the EU not only provides assistance to candidate countries but also contributes to the stability, security, and prosperity of beneficiary countries. However, by adopting this approach, the EU imposes certain changes in the instruments of financial support. Namely, by launching the IPA II programme it surpassed IPA I, covering five priority areas as the key segments of development. It has been shown that this support programme is of great importance for the development of the countries covered in this study. Our research also indicates that IPA funding a...

This study highlights the hypothesis concerning the impact of EU funds in capacity building of human resources in Western Balkan countries, with particular emphasis on Kosovo, Albania, BiH, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Croatia. An additional value added to the EU programs is university-industry cooperation which is recognized as an important factor for strengthening the research capacities, human resources, and regional cooperation between the institutions in the Western Balkans. For the Methodology, the Cronbach Alpha analysis will be proceeded to assess the accuracy of the questionnaire, followed by the research with multiple and simple linear regression. The result of the paper has shown the positive relationship between the performance of the institutions and the EU programs, therefore, the main conclusions of the paper are that EU funds positively affect the advancement of human resources in WB due to limited financial sources of the local institutions.

The crisis caused by the irresponsibility of global actors, international organizations and systems within states, requires space for questions to be answered and realistic predictions. So far, the community of experts has not faced anything similar, while politics has no answers to the questions of what economic consequences the crisis will leave. The health system at the global level has been hit by the struggle for multipolarity without a common response and agreement of key actors. For these reasons, people are more influenced by the media than by the experts that should provide broader and more useful answers. How the global economic system will survive and overcome the crisis ahead and what the difference is in the historical experiences of major catastrophes, and what the choices and alternatives are, remain a challenge for most experts.
