The SVC is a shunt device of the Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) family using power electronics. It regulates voltage by generating or absorbing reactive power. If you are not familiar with the SVC, see the Static Var Compensator (Phasor Type) block documentation, which describes the SVC principle of operation.
