Stunting is a failed growth in toddlers as a result of chronic nutritional deficiency occurring d... more Stunting is a failed growth in toddlers as a result of chronic nutritional deficiency occurring during the first 1000 days of life making children too short for their age. Toddlers stunting prevalence nationally in 2013 was 37.2%, increasing from 2010 (35.6%) and 2007 (36.8%). In Malang Regency, toddlers stunting prevalence had an increase in the first three years and a decrease in the last two years of 2012—2016 periods, with highest prevalence 30.6% in 2014 and lowest 22.9% in 2016. The current study aimed to analyze the sociological and anthropological characteristics of families with stunted toddlers in Malang Regency. Applying qualitative research design, 33 participants from 3 stunting locus villages of Ngawonggo, Dilem and Karangsari in Malang Regency were involved to represent the urban, highland and coastal areas. Elementary school children aged around 7-13 years is the second most rapid growth period after toddlers. At that age, discipline and awareness of children are still lacking in maintaining health, namely dental and oral health so vulnerable to caries in the teeth. One age group that often experience the disease problem is the elementary school age group. According to WHO (World Health Organization) data (2013) an increase in dental caries prevalence in the 12-year age group, ie 13.7% from 28.9% in 2007 rose to 42.6% in 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan risiko mengalami kurang gizi pada ... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan risiko mengalami kurang gizi pada balita di Kecamatan Mojowarno Kabupaten Jombang yang dilakukandengan studi kelompok kurang gizi dan gizi baik berdasarkan tingkat pengetahuan giziibu, tingkat konsumsi energi dan protein, serta mutu protein makanan. Jenis penelitian initermasuk dalam penelitian observasional dengan rancangan kasus kontrol. Sampelpenelitian ini adalah balita kurang gizi (gizi kurang dan gizi buruk) dan sebagai kontroladalah balita dengan status gizi baik berdasarkan indeks BB/U di Kecamatan MojowarnoKabupaten Jombang dan masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 30 responden. Chronic indicators describe the nutritional problems of children under five in the long term, due to low BW/U index, short BW/U, normal BW/TB. The purpose of this study was to determine the nutritional quality, protein quality of the formula. knowing the best treatment, organoleptic quality of the formula for the use of local food ingredients: potato (Solanum tuberosum L), catfish (Clarias Sp), and broccoli (Brassica oleracea L). This type of research is experimental with a completely randomized design (CRD). The level of treatment was the ratio of potato: catfish: broccoli, namely P1 (40:30:30), and P2 (30:45:25). The croquette snack formula at treatment levels 1 and 2 had nutritional values, namely energy of 156 Kcal and 125 Kcal.
