The MBR is designed to have 108 litres of effective volume. The membrane package is submerged which allows the retention of MLSS to an average of 8000-9000 mg/l. The reactor was run at varying OLR (0.012 to 0.039 kg/COD/m 2 /day) and HRT (7, 11, 15, 19, and 23 hrs) at temperature of (29-35°C). The treatment efficiency was found to vary between 73.53 to 95.89 %, which could be rated as the best among the available technologies in practice in India. Hence the models of First Order Model and Stover Kincannon were considered in this work for evaluating bio kinetics coefficients using the experimental data of this work.

Grey wastewater was used to study the performance of the modified rotating biological contactor. The reactor had four rotating blades in each stage, having the size of 300 mm x100 mm x 10 mm, attached perpendicular to the shaft. The experiment was conducted for different influent COD loads and different speeds of rotating blades. Among the different speeds of rotational blades in treating grey water, the rotational speed of 3 rpm was found to yield better percent removal of COD at 95.07% as maximum, where as against the rotational speeds of 4.5 and 6 rpm, the treatment efficiency is 95.04% and 94.96% respectively.

The power transmitting in the distribution system needs to be high quality of power to drive a load with efficiency. The most of the loads are non-linear loads. It causes the Total Harmonics Distortion (THD) in the system. These THD produces the system oscillation, capacitor overloading, drops in efficiency, voltage fluctuation, which create the poor operating performances of the consumer utilities. Essentially, when the load voltage is greater or lesser (sag and swell) than the actual voltage, the control system will analyses the demanded load voltage and it will be compensate by the solar-based DVR, which will improvise the energy consumption of the system. Technically those sag and swell voltage will be minimized with the help of DVR, but it needs advance control technique which will provide the effectiveness of the system. In this work, the Enhanced Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (ESVPWM) is performing a proper switching pulse to the DVR inverter, which helps to improve the energy stabilization in the distribution system. The proposed DVR has additional benefits the operating voltage will observe from the solar PV which had perturb and observe (P&O) based Maximum power point Tracking (MPPT) system and will efficiently provide the DC power. The execution of solar Fed DVR is simulated under dynamic conditions with the various parameters like steady-state error, Efficiency, Total Harmonics Distortion (THD) in the load. All those conditions performed in MATLAB-SIMULINK 2017bsoftware.
