This study was a descriptive research with the quantitative approach which aimed to describe the ... more This study was a descriptive research with the quantitative approach which aimed to describe the academic integrity of the Buddhist college students in Indonesia. This study used 224 students who selected using proportionate cluster sampling. The data were collected using the academic integrity questionnaire with five dimensions, namely honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility. The questionnaire consisted of 39 items with a Likert modification scale (four options). The result of this study showed that the academic integrity of Buddhist College students in Indonesia was supported by the fairness dimension. The academic integrity both of male and female college students were supported by the fairness dimension, and neither was based on the department, the academic integrity both of Dharmacarya and Dharmaduta students were supported by the fairness dimension. Generally, the academic integrity of Buddhist college students in Indonesia was supported by the fairness dimension which included fairness form lecturers, fairness in expressing opinions, and transparency of the values in the lecture process. Nevertheless, both the honesty and the trust dimension need to be considered because they got a lower score than the other dimensions.

The purpose of this article to describe that education is the foundation to realize the mental revolution. The method used in this article is a library research are literature review with qualitative descriptive approach, namely by collecting the data from sources such as books , magazines, journals and others related to character education and mental revolution. The conclusion from this study is that education is the most fundamental factor in Efforts to achieve a mental revolution. Education is a field that is in direct contact with all levels of society. The Government must implement effective policies in education to achieve quality education that produces quality and competitive outputs in the globalization era.

Abstrak

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahwa pendidikan merupakan landasan mewujudkan revolusi mental. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah library research atau kajian pustaka, yaitu dengan mengumpulkan data-data dari sumber berupa buku, majalah, jurnal dan lain-lain yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan karakter dan revolusi mental. Kesimpulan dari kajian ini adalah bahwa pendidikan merupakan faktor yang paling fundamental dalam upaya mewujudkan revolusi mental. Karena pendidikan merupakan bidang yang bersentuhan langsung dengan seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Dengan demikian diperlukan kebijakan yang jelas dan terarah dalam bidang pendidikan untuk mewujudkan pendidikan yang bermutu yang menghasilkan keluaran yang berkualitas dan berdaya saing dalam era globalisasi.

This study aims to identify the difficulties experienced by Buddhist Education teachers in Tanger... more This study aims to identify the difficulties experienced by Buddhist Education teachers in Tangerang and DKI Jakarta.The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques use the survey method. The instrument used to retrieve data consists of 125 items which are divided into 4 aspects, namely: 1) Scope of Curriculum 2013; 2) preparation of learning; 3) implementation of learning; and 4) evaluation. To guarantee the validity in the form of expert judgment, while the reliability of the Alpha Cronbach achievement index, which is equal to 0.989. The results obtained from this study are: 1) the difficulty level of Buddhist Education teachers in implementing 2013 Curriculum at 58.10%; 2) the difficulty level of Buddhist Education teachers in implementing 2013 Curriculum on aspects around the 2013 Curriculum by 61.06%; 3) the difficulty level of Buddhist Education teachers in implementing 2013 Curriculum on aspects of learning preparation amounting to 59.91%...

As an educator, teachers have a primary teaching task in which personality traits are a highly developed factor in the development of human resources. The method used in this research is ex post facto with descriptive quantitative approach. The result of this research shows that the teaching experience on teacher personality competence is not significant, that is 1.5%. Keyword: pengalaman mengajar, kompetensi kepribadian A. Pendahuluan Masa depan suatu bangsa terletak dan dipercayakan pada generasi muda. Generasi muda merupakan generasi yang akan menggantikan genarasi masa lalu dengan berbagai sejarahnya. Maka dengan demikian, posisi strategis suatu bangsa maupun agama, diakui ataupun tidak, memang berada ditangan anak-anak tersebut. Negara dan agama membutuhkan generasi muda yang tangguh dan cerdas. Kemajuan suatu Negara dan agama, akan tetap lestari apabila generasi mudanya dapat dijadikan tulang punggung yang siap untuk mengabdi. Sedangkan dalam kehidupan nyata dapat kita lihat masih sangat banyak anak-anak dan remaja yang belum bias mematuhi dan menjalankan norma-norma dan aturan. Tanggung jawab generasi muda sangat berat untuk membawa bangsa ini pada sebuah kemajuan. Oleh karena itu generasi muda hasrus benar-benar dipersiapkan agar tiba saatnya nanti melaksanakan tanggung jawab, dapat dilaksanakan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Anak-anak dan remaja perlu diarahkan dan mendapatkan perhatian yang cukup dari berbagai pihak agar mereka tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi generasi yang berbudaya baik serta memiliki budi pekerti luhur. Seorang manusia tumbuh dan besar dalam lingkungan masyarakat, bukan hanya dibesarkan dalam lingkungan keluarga saja. Salah satu pihak yang memiliki tanggung jawab dalam mempersiapkan generasi di masa yang akan datang adalah guru. Guru sebagai pendidik harus dapat mempengaruhi ke arah proses itu sesuai dengan tata nilai yang dianggap baik dan berlaku dalam masyarakat. Sebagai seorang tenaga pendidik, memiliki ciri khas kepribadian yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan pengembangan generasi bangsa. ~ 77 ~

This study was a descriptive qualitative study. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documents. Research shows that RUGABI has important role for Buddhist teacher competence development in Tangerang to review Becoming a professionals teacher. The activities for support for a review of teacher competence development in Tangerang PAB held by RUGABI Good Independently or in cooperation with the Government. Results showed that the mechanism of development and management of the RUGABI is set to further to enhance competence through sharing knowledge, skills and attitudes, test ideas, and discussion. Keywords: RUGABI (Rumpun Guru Agama Buddha Indonesia) Pendahuluan Guru merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Guru sebagai tenaga pendidik harus mendapatkan perhatian yang serius dan perlu dikembangkan agar menjadi tenaga yang profesional. Pengembangan ini merupakan usaha untuk mempersiapkan agar guru memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan dan memberikan rasa percaya diri dalam melaksanakan tugas dan kewajibannya. Peningkatan kemampuan harus bertolak pada kebutuhan atau permasalahan nyata yang dihadapi oleh guru di lapangan. Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi melahirkan tantangan pada berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia. Demikian pula pada bidang pendidikan maupun keagamaan. Menyikapi keadaan yang demikian guru Pendidikan Agama Buddha (PAB) harus mampu menempatkan diri meanampilak nilai-nilai Buddhis yang dinamis dan aplikatif. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dan kualitas maupun kaulifikasi guru PAB sangat beragam, sehingga diharapakan mampu memberikan kontribusi yang positif bagi kemajuan pengamalan ajaran Buddha dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan.
