The tasks of these applications usually exchange large volume of data-flows and often need to satisfy real-time constraints. Although the Network on-Chip (NoC) paradigm offers an underlying communication infrastructure that gives more hardware resources, it is unable to safe tasks and data-flows deadlines. In recent works, preemptive wormhole switching with fixed priority has been introduced to meet real-time constraints of real-time applications. However, it suffers some bottleneck such as hardware requirement where none of these works takes account of the number of implemented virtual channels on the router. To alleviate this problem, we propose a novel scheduler for soft real-time data-flows application that takes into account the lack on resource in routers in term of Virtual channels. Experimental results obtained on a benchmark of synthetic and soft real applications...

E... more Induction motors are the most commonly used machine in industry because of their robust nature. Energy management of induction motor is relevant as they form the bulk segment in industry. So online monitoring and efficiency estimation of the existing induction motors play a vital role in energy management. The air gap torque (AGT) method is a well established technique for determining the efficiency of an induction motor, since it is known to be highly accurate. However, it is considered to be too intrusive for industrial applications. To resolve this, non-intrusive AGT (NAGT) method is adopted here for efficiency estimation. The NAGT method measures only the motor terminal quantities and combines various estimation techniques to determine these parameters in a non-intrusive manner. Speed is measured by using tachometer. Stator resistance is obtained by DC signal injection method. No load losses are assumed empirically as a percentage of rated input power. Stray loss is estimated by...

They face various stresses during operating conditions leading to some modes of faults. Hence, condition monitoring becomes necessary in order to avoid catastrophic failures. Different fault monitoring techniques for induction motors can be broadly categorized as model based, signal processing based and soft computing techniques. Among these, after bearing faults, stator faults are found to be the most frequent faults in induction motor. Interturn short circuit(ITSC) faults constitute a large percent of all electrical faults and it is theroot cause of all other stator faults. So continuous monitoring of ITSC fault is necessary as rewinding the motor is usually preferred than replacing it. Several techniques have been developed for the detection of stator short circuit faults. But they have limitations due tothe dependence onload variation, machine inherent asymmetry and unbalanced supply voltage. Amongthese a more reliable and simple method for practical implementation is found to bethe symmetrical component method. Negative sequence current method insensitive tosupply voltage unbalance is discussed here. Simulation study is carried out for differentvoltage unbalance. An experimental setup to model stator fault is developed. Also, ahardware setup is developed for on-line fault detection of induction motor.

A methodology based on Park's Vector approach employing Fuzzy logic and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is used to diagnose electrical faults. Different kinds of simulations are carried out corresponding to faults like stator voltage unbalance; stator open phase and stator short-circuit. In addition, a hardware developed for on-line monitoring of induction and the proposed fault diagnosis scheme employed was successfully implemented.

The estimation of efficiency is the primary step in the energy management. Number of efficiency estimation methods were analyzed and compared and airgap torque method is found to be accurate. It was suggested to have non-intrusive methods of testing rather than intrusive methods. The project aims to incorporate sensorless speed estimation by speed observer, resistance estimation by dc signal injection method and losses estimation according to the IEEE standards in the airgap torque method to make this non-intrusive. This method is called modified AGT method. The authenticity of this method is verified by simulations. The experiments were done on a 3phase slip ring induction motor (3.7kW, 415V, 1410rpm, 7.5A, 50Hz).

Subjects and Methods: The three category response version of the General Oral Health Assessment Index (GOHAI) (12 questions, always, sometimes, never) was used in the questionnaires in Kuwait. Three hundred and eight (308) parents and 112 teachers were enrolled in this study. Results: The mean age of the parents was 45 ± 9.9 years and of the teachers 38 ± 8.4 years. The mean GOHAI was 27.2 ± 3.5 among the parents and 27.8 ± 3.3 among the teachers (p = 0.091). GOHAI was higher in the older age groups (p = 0.002) and among the parents with a university education (p < 0.001). GOHAI was also higher with increasing toothbrushing frequency among the parents (p = 0.047) and the teachers (p = 0.003). Altogether, 203 (66%) of the parents and 85 (76%) of the teachers were always able to swallow comfortably; 123 (40%) of the ...

If we think to potential cost savings in each of the components, energy would invariably emerge at the top, so efficient use of energy and its conservation is the least cost option in any strategies. On the energy demand and supply side, India is facing severe shortage. 70% of the total petroleum product demand is being met by imports, imposing a heavy burden on foreign exchange. Country is also facing peak power and average electricity shortage of 12% and 7% respectively. An energy study of various sector of commercial industrial and residential area indicates that 5-20% energy can be saved. This paper discusses the common aspects of electrical energy management and various phase of Energy audit to reduce energy requirements and hence, the total cost spent towards energy consumption.

To increase the user's data privacy an active storage framework of self-destructing data system is used. Without user intervention, all the data and their copies become destructed or unreadable after a user-specified time and the decryption key is also destructed. The load balancing mechanism called distributed load pairing technique has been used in the system to distribute the files as uniformly as possible among the distributed nodes such that no node manages an excessive number of files and to reduce network traffic by rebalancing the loads of nodes as much as possible. The uploading and downloading algorithms of distributed load pairing is explained and self- destructing data system uploading procedure has als...

In this article, we study the spherical scoring rule by analytically examining some of its properties and providing some new geometric interpretations for this rule. Moreover, we state a theorem which provides an axiomatic characterization for the spherical scoring rule. The objective of this analysis is to provide a better understanding of one of the most commonly available scoring rules, which could aid decision makers in the selection of an appropriate tool for evaluating and assessing probabilistic forecasts.
