In the larger context, society has been binary with respect to gender as well as sexual identity.... more In the larger context, society has been binary with respect to gender as well as sexual identity. It is a reality that the majority of the part of the society is not very comfortable with the idea of someone who expresses themselves differently than they look. It is of utmost importance that the common people should be made aware of the various contexts that exist and that propose their own understanding which explains the reasons behind minorities with respect to gender identity as well as sexual orientation. A thorough interrogation would unravel how sexuality and the identity related to gender, during the adolescent years emerges, this just may as well be an answer to the typical prevalence of heterosexuals in the majority and the reason behind the sexual orientation of other minorities as well. The current investigation would contribute to giving a peek into how many different groups of researchers believe in different reasons that are responsible for the formation of gender identity and sexual orientation during adolescence.

Being transgender customarily means someone who has transitioned from the typical gender that per... more Being transgender customarily means someone who has transitioned from the typical gender that person has been associated with because of the incongruous body type they were born with, with respect to the gender that they feel they belong to. Society does not only consist of the majority of the sections of people that are cisgender citizens of the society but minorities just as well, are a necessary part of society. Many provisions are being brought to bring them to the mainstream society by all four estates of democratic India, yet on the ground level, the people who identify themselves outside of the binary frame of gender are still not included without any hesitation or second thoughts. To prepare the people who are what the majority of society comprises of and to build an inclusive approach towards transgender people, it would certainly take a large amount of effort, but to know where do common people lie on a continuum of sensitivity towards the third gender is the real question. The current study represents how the members of the typical North-Indian society, have sensitivity to understanding the people who belong to the most recently legally recognized gender.

The need to understand this neglected section of the society has now been coming to light even though still majority of educators, policy makers and researchers do not consider all due components that would help to best understand the factors that influence their life specifically discussing growth. The process of the development of identity among these children as they develop at their parental home and many times at other places majorly differs than that of cisgender children"s. This review article intends to give a peek into lives of these people, their identity development as they grow and how the conventional act of labelling makes an impact on them.

The aim of the present study was to study the influence of reading interest on lifestyle of colle... more The aim of the present study was to study the influence of reading interest on lifestyle of college going youth. The total sample for the present study consisted of 120 college going boys and girls i.e. 60 boys and 60 girls. Samples were selected from three colleges of Udaipur city, Rajasthan. An inventory titled influence of reading interest on lifestyle was developed, validated and utilized for the research. Mean percent scores were computed for analysis of data. The results of the study revealed that influence of reading was found on personal self, approach towards the family and society and perspective towards the family and society. The findings of the study are helpful for students, parents as well as the society to understand the impact of reading interest on lifestyle of people. Research advocates inculcation of reading interest in individuals during different phases of life ascertaining quality life.
