Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi konsumen terhadap diferensiasi pada produk Sim... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi konsumen terhadap diferensiasi pada produk Sim card IM3 dengan beberapa kriteria yang disesuaikan dengan variabel-variabel penelitian, yaitu, Konten (what to offer), konteks (how to offer), dan infrastruktur (anabler). Penelitian ini tergolong tipe test marketing studies karena bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana persepsi konsumen SIM Card mengenai diferensiasi yang diterapkan oleh PT. Indosat pada produk SIM Card IM3. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumen atau masyarakat yang yang pernah membeli atau sedang membeli SIM Card IM3 yang berada di wilayah Surakarta. Berdasarkan tabel sampel minimum yang sebaiknya diambil untuk kategori test marketing studies adalah sebanyak 200 responden. Oleh karena itu kuesioner yang diedarkan sebanyak 150 eksemplar dengan expected response sebanyak 140 responden dan expected nonresponse sebanyak 10 responden. Pemilihan responden pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non probability sampling mengingat jumlah populasi dari sampal yang diambil sulit untuk diidentifikasi. Teknik non probability sampling yang digunakan adalah berdasarkan pendekatan judgment sampling. Alat analisis data yang digunakan dengan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan: 1) Hasil perhitungan data menunjukkan bahwa variabel konten berada pada posisi baik dengan nilai sekala 3,76. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa konten produk Sim Card IM3 dipersepsikan baik oleh konsumen Sim Card IM3 di wilayah Surakarta, 2) Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa variabel Konteks berada pada posisi baik dengan nilai sekala 3,76. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa konteks yang selama ini dilakukan oleh PT. Indosat pada produk Sim Card IM3 dipersepsikan baik oleh konsumen Sim Card IM3 di wilayah Surakarta, 3) Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa variabel Infrastruktur berada pada posisi baik dengan nilai sekala 4,31. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa infrastruktur (enabler) yang selama ini dilakukan oleh PT. Indosat pada produk Sim Card IM3 dipersepsikan baik oleh konsumen Sim Card IM3 di wilayah Surakarta, 4) Berdasarkan analisis diferensiasi diketahui bahwa ternyata benar juga apa yang dilakukan oleh PT. Indosat mengenai produk Sim Card IM3 dalam membangun diferensiasi lewat media above dan below the line (di atas dan di bawah deferensiasi yang lain), yang dengan perkataan lain, membangun infrastruktur tersebut, ternyata infrastruktur membangun persepsi positif di benak konsumen sebaik persepsi mereka terhadap konten dan konteks.

We consider the possibility that the gravitino might be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP... more We consider the possibility that the gravitino might be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in the constrained minimal extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM). In this case, the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NSP) would be unstable, with an abundance constrained by the concordance between the observed light-element abundances and those calculated on the basis of the baryon-to-entropy ratio determined using CMB data. We modify and extend previous CMSSM relic neutralino calculations to evaluate the NSP density, also in the case that the NSP is the lighter stau, and show that the constraint from late NSP decays is respected only in a limited region of the CMSSM parameter space. In this region, gravitinos might constitute the dark matter.

We compare updated predictions for the elastic scattering of supersymmetric neutralino dark matte... more We compare updated predictions for the elastic scattering of supersymmetric neutralino dark matter with the improved experimental upper limit recently published by CDMS II. We take into account the possibility that the π-nucleon Σ term may be somewhat larger than was previously considered plausible, as may be supported by the masses of exotic baryons reported recently. We also incorporate the new central value of m t , which affects indirectly constraints on the supersymmetric parameter space, for example via calculations of the relic density. Even if a large value of Σ is assumed, the CDMS II data currently exclude only small parts of the parameter space in the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) with universal soft supersymmetry-breaking Higgs, squark and slepton masses. None of the previously-proposed CMSSM benchmark scenarios is excluded for any value of Σ, and the CDMS II data do not impinge on the domains of the CMSSM parameter space favoured at the 90% confidence level in a recent likelihood analysis. However, some models with non-universal Higgs, squark and slepton masses and neutralino masses < ∼ 700 GeV are excluded by the CDMS II data.

We revisit the constraints imposed by electric dipole moments (EDMs) of nucleons and heavy atoms ... more We revisit the constraints imposed by electric dipole moments (EDMs) of nucleons and heavy atoms on new CP-violating sources within supersymmetric theories. We point out that certain two-loop renormalization group corrections induce significant mixing between the basis-invariant CP-odd phases. In the framework of the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model (CMSSM), the CP-odd invariant related to the soft trilinear A-phase at the GUT scale, θ A , induces non-trivial and distinct CP-odd phases for the three gaugino masses at the weak scale. The latter give one-loop contributions to EDMs enhanced by tan β, and can provide the dominant contribution to the electron EDM induced by θ A. We perform a detailed analysis of the EDM constraints within the CMSSM, exhibiting the reach, in terms of sparticle spectra, which may be obtained assuming generic phases, as well as the limits on the CP-odd phases for some specific parameter points where detailed phenomenological studies are available. We also illustrate how this reach will expand with results from the next generation of experiments which are currently in development.

The requirement that the MSSM remain an acceptable effective field theory up to energies beyond t... more The requirement that the MSSM remain an acceptable effective field theory up to energies beyond the weak scale constrains the sparticle spectrum, and hence the permissible ranges of cold dark matter neutralino-proton cross sections. Specifically, squarks are generally much heavier than sleptons if no tachyons are to appear before the GUT scale ∼ 10 16 GeV, or even before 10 TeV. We display explicitly the allowed ranges of effective squark and slepton masses at the weak scale, and the cross-section ranges allowed if the MSSM is to remain valid without tachyons up to 10 TeV or the GUT scale. The allowed areas in the cross sectionmass plane for both spin-independent and spin-dependent scattering are significantly smaller than would be allowed if the MSSM were required to be valid only around the weak scale. In addition to a reduction in the maximum cross section, the upper limit on the neutralino mass is greatly reduced when tachyons are avoided, particularly for smaller values of the squark masses.

Treating the MSSM as an effective theory below a threshold scale Λ, we study the consequences of ... more Treating the MSSM as an effective theory below a threshold scale Λ, we study the consequences of having dimension-five operators in the superpotential for flavour and CPviolating processes. Below the supersymmetric threshold such terms generate flavour changing and/or CP-odd effective operators of dimension six composed from the Standard Model fermions, that have the interesting property of decoupling linearly with the threshold scale, i.e. as 1/(Λm soft), where m soft is the scale of soft supersymmetry breaking. The assumption of weak-scale supersymmetry, together with the stringent limits on electric dipole moments and lepton flavour-violating processes, then provides sensitivity to Λ as high as 10 7 − 10 9 GeV. We discuss the varying sensitivity to these scales within several MSSM benchmark scenarios and also outline the classes of UV physics which could generate these operators.

We show that present experimental constraints on B s → µ + µ − decay and the CDMS upper limit on ... more We show that present experimental constraints on B s → µ + µ − decay and the CDMS upper limit on the cold dark matter elastic scattering cross section already have significant impact on the parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) with non-universal supersymmetry-breaking scalar masses for the Higgs multiplets (NUHM). The relaxation of scalar universality in the MSSM allows the possibility of a relatively light mass M A for the pseudoscalar Higgs boson. The present upper limit on B s → µ + µ − already excludes much of the scope for this possibility in the NUHM, in contrast to the constrained MSSM with universal scalar masses (CMSSM), where B s → µ + µ − decay does not exclude any ranges of parameters not already excluded by b → sγ decay. Cold dark matter scattering is also enhanced for small M A , but the impact of present upper limit on B s → µ + µ − on the NUHM parameter space is in many cases greater than that of the CDMS scattering limit, particularly at large tan β.

We analyze scenarios in which some flavour of sneutrino is the next-to-lightest supersymmetric pa... more We analyze scenarios in which some flavour of sneutrino is the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP), assuming that the gravitino is the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) and provides the cold dark matter. Such scenarios do not arise in the constrained supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM) with universal gaugino and scalar masses input at the GUT scale. However, models with non-universal Higgs masses (NUHM) do allow scenarios with a sneutrino NLSP, which are quite generic. We illustrate how such scenarios may arise, analyze the possible metastable sneutrino lifetime, and explore the theoretical, phenomenological, experimental and cosmological constraints on such scenarios. We also discuss the collider signatures of such scenarios, how they may be distinguished from neutralino LSP scenarios, and how different flavours of sneutrino NLSP may be distinguished.

Specific models of supersymmetry breaking predict relations between the trilinear and bilinear so... more Specific models of supersymmetry breaking predict relations between the trilinear and bilinear soft supersymmetry breaking parameters A 0 and B 0 at the input scale. In such models, the value of tan β can be calculated as a function of the scalar masses m 0 and the gaugino masses m 1/2 , which we assume to be universal. The experimental constraints on sparticle and Higgs masses, b → sγ decay and the cold dark matter density Ω CDM h 2 can then be used to constrain tan β in such specific models of supersymmetry breaking. In the simplest Polonyi model with A 0 = (3 − √ 3)m 0 = B 0 + m 0 , we find 11 < ∼ tan β < ∼ 20 (tan β 4.15) for µ > 0 (µ < 0). We also discuss other models with A 0 = B 0 + m 0 , finding that only the range −1.9 < ∼ A 0 /m 0 < ∼ 2.5 is allowed for µ > 0, and the range 1.25 < ∼ A 0 /m 0 < ∼ 4.8 for µ < 0. In these models, we find no solutions in the rapid-annihilation 'funnels' or in the 'focus-point' region. We also discuss the allowed range of tan β in the no-scale model with A 0 = B 0 = 0. In all these models, most of the allowed regions are in the χ −τ 1 coannihilation 'tail'.

We estimate the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson h in the minimal supersymmetric extensio... more We estimate the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson h in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with universal soft supersymmetry-breaking masses (CMSSM), subject to the available accelerator and astrophysical constraints. For m t = 174.3 GeV, we find that 114 GeV < m h < 127 GeV and a peak in the tan β distribution ≃ 55. We observe two distinct peaks in the distribution of m h values, corresponding to two different regions of the CMSSM parameter space. Values of m h < 119 GeV correspond to small values of the gaugino mass m 1/2 and the soft trilinear supersymmetry-breaking parameter A 0 , lying along coannihilation strips, and most of the allowed parameter sets are consistent with a supersymmetric interpretation of the possibly discrepancy in g µ − 2. On the other hand, values of m h > 119 GeV may correspond to much larger values of m 1/2 and A 0 , lying in rapid-annihilation funnels. The favoured ranges of m h vary with m t , the two peaks being more clearly separated for m t = 178 GeV and merging for m t = 172.7 GeV. If the g µ − 2 constraint is imposed, the mode of the m h distribution is quite stable, being ∼ 117 GeV for all the studied values of m t .

We consider the possibility that the gravitino might be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP... more We consider the possibility that the gravitino might be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in the constrained minimal extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM). In this case, the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NSP) would be unstable, with an abundance constrained by the concordance between the observed light-element abundances and those calculated on the basis of the baryon-to-entropy ratio determined using CMB data. We modify and extend previous CMSSM relic neutralino calculations to evaluate the NSP density, also in the case that the NSP is the lighter stau, and show that the constraint from late NSP decays is respected only in a limited region of the CMSSM parameter space. In this region, gravitinos might constitute the dark matter.

We compare updated predictions for the elastic scattering of supersymmetric neutralino dark matte... more We compare updated predictions for the elastic scattering of supersymmetric neutralino dark matter with the improved experimental upper limit recently published by CDMS II. We take into account the possibility that the π-nucleon Σ term may be somewhat larger than was previously considered plausible, as may be supported by the masses of exotic baryons reported recently. We also incorporate the new central value of m t , which affects indirectly constraints on the supersymmetric parameter space, for example via calculations of the relic density. Even if a large value of Σ is assumed, the CDMS II data currently exclude only small parts of the parameter space in the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) with universal soft supersymmetry-breaking Higgs, squark and slepton masses. None of the previously-proposed CMSSM benchmark scenarios is excluded for any value of Σ, and the CDMS II data do not impinge on the domains of the CMSSM parameter space favoured at the 90% confidence level in a recent likelihood analysis. However, some models with non-universal Higgs, squark and slepton masses and neutralino masses < ∼ 700 GeV are excluded by the CDMS II data.

We revisit the constraints imposed by electric dipole moments (EDMs) of nucleons and heavy atoms ... more We revisit the constraints imposed by electric dipole moments (EDMs) of nucleons and heavy atoms on new CP-violating sources within supersymmetric theories. We point out that certain two-loop renormalization group corrections induce significant mixing between the basis-invariant CP-odd phases. In the framework of the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model (CMSSM), the CP-odd invariant related to the soft trilinear A-phase at the GUT scale, θ A , induces non-trivial and distinct CP-odd phases for the three gaugino masses at the weak scale. The latter give one-loop contributions to EDMs enhanced by tan β, and can provide the dominant contribution to the electron EDM induced by θ A. We perform a detailed analysis of the EDM constraints within the CMSSM, exhibiting the reach, in terms of sparticle spectra, which may be obtained assuming generic phases, as well as the limits on the CP-odd phases for some specific parameter points where detailed phenomenological studies are available. We also illustrate how this reach will expand with results from the next generation of experiments which are currently in development.

The requirement that the MSSM remain an acceptable effective field theory up to energies beyond t... more The requirement that the MSSM remain an acceptable effective field theory up to energies beyond the weak scale constrains the sparticle spectrum, and hence the permissible ranges of cold dark matter neutralino-proton cross sections. Specifically, squarks are generally much heavier than sleptons if no tachyons are to appear before the GUT scale ∼ 10 16 GeV, or even before 10 TeV. We display explicitly the allowed ranges of effective squark and slepton masses at the weak scale, and the cross-section ranges allowed if the MSSM is to remain valid without tachyons up to 10 TeV or the GUT scale. The allowed areas in the cross sectionmass plane for both spin-independent and spin-dependent scattering are significantly smaller than would be allowed if the MSSM were required to be valid only around the weak scale. In addition to a reduction in the maximum cross section, the upper limit on the neutralino mass is greatly reduced when tachyons are avoided, particularly for smaller values of the squark masses.

Treating the MSSM as an effective theory below a threshold scale Λ, we study the consequences of ... more Treating the MSSM as an effective theory below a threshold scale Λ, we study the consequences of having dimension-five operators in the superpotential for flavour and CPviolating processes. Below the supersymmetric threshold such terms generate flavour changing and/or CP-odd effective operators of dimension six composed from the Standard Model fermions, that have the interesting property of decoupling linearly with the threshold scale, i.e. as 1/(Λm soft), where m soft is the scale of soft supersymmetry breaking. The assumption of weak-scale supersymmetry, together with the stringent limits on electric dipole moments and lepton flavour-violating processes, then provides sensitivity to Λ as high as 10 7 − 10 9 GeV. We discuss the varying sensitivity to these scales within several MSSM benchmark scenarios and also outline the classes of UV physics which could generate these operators.

We show that present experimental constraints on B s → µ + µ − decay and the CDMS upper limit on ... more We show that present experimental constraints on B s → µ + µ − decay and the CDMS upper limit on the cold dark matter elastic scattering cross section already have significant impact on the parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) with non-universal supersymmetry-breaking scalar masses for the Higgs multiplets (NUHM). The relaxation of scalar universality in the MSSM allows the possibility of a relatively light mass M A for the pseudoscalar Higgs boson. The present upper limit on B s → µ + µ − already excludes much of the scope for this possibility in the NUHM, in contrast to the constrained MSSM with universal scalar masses (CMSSM), where B s → µ + µ − decay does not exclude any ranges of parameters not already excluded by b → sγ decay. Cold dark matter scattering is also enhanced for small M A , but the impact of present upper limit on B s → µ + µ − on the NUHM parameter space is in many cases greater than that of the CDMS scattering limit, particularly at large tan β.

Such scenarios do not arise in the constrained supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM) with universal gaugino and scalar masses input at the GUT scale. However, models with non-universal Higgs masses (NUHM) do allow scenarios with a sneutrino NLSP, which are quite generic. We illustrate how such scenarios may arise, analyze the possible metastable sneutrino lifetime, and explore the theoretical, phenomenological, experimental and cosmological constraints on such scenarios. We also discuss the collider signatures of such scenarios, how they may be distinguished from neutralino LSP scenarios, and how different flavours of sneutrino NLSP may be distinguished.

Specific models of supersymmetry breaking predict relations between the trilinear and bilinear so... more Specific models of supersymmetry breaking predict relations between the trilinear and bilinear soft supersymmetry breaking parameters A 0 and B 0 at the input scale. In such models, the value of tan β can be calculated as a function of the scalar masses m 0 and the gaugino masses m 1/2 , which we assume to be universal. The experimental constraints on sparticle and Higgs masses, b → sγ decay and the cold dark matter density Ω CDM h 2 can then be used to constrain tan β in such specific models of supersymmetry breaking. In the simplest Polonyi model with A 0 = (3 − √ 3)m 0 = B 0 + m 0 , we find 11 < ∼ tan β < ∼ 20 (tan β 4.15) for µ > 0 (µ < 0). We also discuss other models with A 0 = B 0 + m 0 , finding that only the range −1.9 < ∼ A 0 /m 0 < ∼ 2.5 is allowed for µ > 0, and the range 1.25 < ∼ A 0 /m 0 < ∼ 4.8 for µ < 0. In these models, we find no solutions in the rapid-annihilation 'funnels' or in the 'focus-point' region. We also discuss the allowed range of tan β in the no-scale model with A 0 = B 0 = 0. In all these models, most of the allowed regions are in the χ −τ 1 coannihilation 'tail'.

We estimate the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson h in the minimal supersymmetric extensio... more We estimate the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson h in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with universal soft supersymmetry-breaking masses (CMSSM), subject to the available accelerator and astrophysical constraints. For m t = 174.3 GeV, we find that 114 GeV < m h < 127 GeV and a peak in the tan β distribution ≃ 55. We observe two distinct peaks in the distribution of m h values, corresponding to two different regions of the CMSSM parameter space. Values of m h < 119 GeV correspond to small values of the gaugino mass m 1/2 and the soft trilinear supersymmetry-breaking parameter A 0 , lying along coannihilation strips, and most of the allowed parameter sets are consistent with a supersymmetric interpretation of the possibly discrepancy in g µ − 2. On the other hand, values of m h > 119 GeV may correspond to much larger values of m 1/2 and A 0 , lying in rapid-annihilation funnels. The favoured ranges of m h vary with m t , the two peaks being more clearly separated for m t = 178 GeV and merging for m t = 172.7 GeV. If the g µ − 2 constraint is imposed, the mode of the m h distribution is quite stable, being ∼ 117 GeV for all the studied values of m t .
