An Uncontrollable Maize price fluctuation can harm farmers when the price changes in the level of... more An Uncontrollable Maize price fluctuation can harm farmers when the price changes in the level of consumer price and it is not followed at the level of the producers. This study used monthly prices data during 2009-2016 in East Java province. Methods of analysis used, are in the form of price variations and market integration analysis. The results of the prices variation analysis are maize prices that gained at the level of the producers, wholesalers, and consumers are low fluctuating, but the results of the market integration show that between the producer price and consumer price, between the producer price and the wholesale price, and between wholesale prices and consumer prices are integrated in the short term and are not integrated in the long term, this indicates that the price of maize markets information systems had not been running perfectly. So, the Government needs to fix the system to make the price information of maize can be well-integrated.

This is manifested in the score of the Hope food pattern (PPH). This score is an assessment parameter of food balance and diversity based on the main food composition. The score is also adjusted for acceptance if it is consumed to meet energy and nutritional needs. The maximum score of PPH is 100. The purpose of this study is 1) to determine the score of the expected food pattern (PPH) in farmer families in Mandiri Pangan Village in Klaten Regency 2) to compare the PPH score of farmers in Klaten Regency with the PPH score of Central Java Province. Semua pelaku pasar bertindak sebagai price taker, dimana produsen/pedagang tidak mempunyai kekuatan untuk membentuk/mempengaruhi harga pada pasar persaingan sempurna, namun kemampuan untuk mempengaruhi harga tersebut muncul ketika struktur pasarnya tidak sempurna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui struktur pasar (market structure) kedelai, (2) memetakan dan menganalisis konsentrasi ratio pasar kedelai di Kabupaten Grobogan. Pangan dibutuhkan sebagai upaya kelangsungan hidup manusia. Terpenuhinya kebutuhan pangan dari berbagai segi seperti keamanan, keterjangkauan dan aspek lain sering dikaitkan dengan ketahanan pangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi ketahanan pangan. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh rumah tangga petani yang ada di Kabupaten Klaten dan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah petani yang tergabung dalam desa mandiri pangan di Kabupaten Klaten. Responden pada peneitian ini berjumlah 30 orang petani yang berasal dari desa dengan program mandiri pangan serta desa yang memiliki klinik pertanian yaitu Desa Jambakan dan Desa Karanglo. Cocoa is one of the export commodities from the plantation sub sector which is a national commodity.One area that develops and cultivates cocoa production is Nglanggeran, Patuk Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the production of cocoa beans in Nglanggeran Kecamatan Patuk Kabupaten Gunungkidul. The research method used a descriptive method of analysis by sampling the simple random sampling method. Type of data collected was primary data which was obtained by survey method using questionnaires. Data were analyzed with the Cobb Douglas functions. The results showed that factors which positively influenced on the increase of cocoa production were land area, use of pesticide and number of plants production. Meanwhile the amount of labor and the use of fertilizer had no significant effect on cocoa production.

The energy adequacy figure for household consumption is also used as a reference for the value of family food security. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the energy adequacy rate of farmer households in Klaten Regency. The location of the research was carried out deliberately in Klaten Regency because this area is a rice producer in Central Java. The samples used were farmers in the independent food village of Klaten Regency. This research uses descriptive analytical method with multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there are four variables that influence the energy adequacy rate, namely the education of the head of the farmer household, rice consumption, consumption of tempe and nutritional knowledge by the farm-housewife.
