Its conservation status is inadequate in the Mediterranean bioclimatic region (Prisco et al., 2012). In Campania region it is officially reported for 8 SCI and two of them (IT8010019 "Pineta della Foce del Garigliano" e IT8010021 "Pineta di Patria") on the Litorale domizio coast, in Caserta province. The vegetation landscape of this coast trait is subject of a research project. The present contribution aims to describe the Juniperus spp. scrub communities in the two above mentioned SCI, to characterize them from a phytosociological point of view and to assess their conservation status. The relationship with the Habitat 2260 (Cisto-Lavanduletalia dune sclerophyllous scrubs) are here debated and management strategies are suggested. Juniperus oxycedrus L. sub...

It includes the assessment of Epipactismaricae (Croce, Bongiorni, De Vivo & Fori) Presser & S.Hertel at global level, and the regional assessment of Cerintheretorta Sm. (Italy), PlatantherakuenkeleiH.Baumannsubsp.kuenkelei (Europe) and Typhaelephantina Roxb. (Egypt).
