Whether you’re using wireless internet in a coffee shop, stealing it from the guy next door, or c... more Whether you’re using wireless internet in a coffee shop, stealing it from the guy next door, or competing for bandwidth at a conference, you’ve probably gotten frustrated at the slow speeds you face when more than one device is tapped into the network. As more and more people and their many devices access wireless internet, clogged airwaves are going to make it increasingly difficult to latch onto a reliable signal. But radio waves are just one part of the spectrum that can carry our data. What if we could use other waves to surf the internet? One German Physicist, DR. Harald Haas, has come up with a solution he calls “Data Through Illumination”—taking the fiber out of fiber optics by sending data through an LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than the human eye can follow. It’s the same idea behind infrared remote controls, but far more powerful. Haas says his invention, which he calls D-Light, can produce data rates faster than 10 megabits per second, which is speedier than your average broadband connection. He envisions a future where data for laptops, smart phones, and tablets is transmitted through the light in a room. And security would be a snap—if you can’t see the light, you can’t access the data.
Li-Fi is a VLC, visible light communication, technology developed by a team of scientists including Dr Gordon Povey, Prof. Harald Haas and Dr Mostafa Afgani at the University of Edinburgh. The term Li-Fi was coined by Prof. Haas when he amazed people by streaming high-definition video from a standard LED lamp, at TED Global in July 2011. Li-Fi is now part of the Visible Light Communications (VLC) PAN IEEE 802.15.7 standard. “Li-Fi is typically implemented using white LED light bulbs. These devices are normally used for illumination by applying a constant current through the LED. However, by fast and subtle variations of the current, the optical output can be made to vary at extremely high speeds. Unseen by the human eye, this variation is used to carry high-speed data,” says Dr Povey, Product Manager of the University of Edinburgh's Li-Fi Program ‘D-Light Project’.

It will help educational Institutions like schools and colleges will keep track of their student records like personal details,contact details,marks details, etc. The Internet is rapidly becoming a part of the everyday lives of a majority of people in the world. People perform various activities on the Internet and one of them is storing their data in data-base where they are interested in. In these data base’s they can post the queries and they can retrieve the required data. Obviously there is a need of Student Information System software for management of student’s data.
There are many departments of administration for the maintenance of college information and student databases in any institution.
All these departments provide various records regarding students. Most of these track records need to maintain information about the students. This information could be the general details like student name, address, performance, attendance etc or specific information related to departments like collection of data.
All the modules in college administration are interdependent. They are maintained manually. So they need to be automated and centralized as, Information from one module will be needed by other modules.
For example when a student needs his course completion certificate it needs to check many details about the student like his name, registration number, year of study, exams he attended and many other details. So it needs to contact all the modules that are office, department and examination and result of students.

A major difficulty in this project was being able to isolate the object of interest in the video and then directing the car to follow it. Once tracked, a control scheme allowed the car to keep the object on the screen and follow. It as it moved around the room.
The embedded system software includes the interfacing of the sensors like camera, distance sensors etc. to the microcontroller. The sensors give analog outputs and they have to be converted to digital values for processing. The microcontroller, which is the controlling device regularly, reads the sensor outputs. A proper communication protocol has to be established for communication between the control room and the remote system

As a part of its initiative to liberalize its financial markets, India opened her doors to Foreign Institutional Investors in September 1992. This event represents a landmark event since it resulted in effectively globalizing its financial services industry.
The foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have emerged as important players in the Indian equity market in the recent past. This study makes an attempt to develop an understanding of the dynamics of the trading behaviour of FIIs. Along with this the purpose of study is to find out the impact of FII on Performance of Nifty. FIIs, because of their short-term nature, can have bidirectional causation with the returns of other domestic financial markets such as money markets, stock markets, and foreign exchange markets. Hence, the understanding of determinants of FII is very important for any emerging economy as FII exerts a larger impact on the domestic financial markets in the short run and a real impact in the long run
There may be other factors on which Stock index may depend i.e. Government policies, budgets, bullion market, inflation, economic and political condition of the country, FDI, Rupee/Dollar exchange rates etc. This study uses the concept of correlation, regression to study the relationship between FII and Nifty.
