Pacers, Toronto talk about trading O'NealFrom the Indianapolis Star:The Indiana Pacers and Jermaine O'Neal could be parting ways in the near future.The Pacers and Toronto Raptors have discussed a possible deal with O'Neal going north of the border with point guard T.J. Ford and center Rasho Nesterovic coming to Indiana, according to two people with knowledge of the situation. The deal may also include Toronto's first-round pick (No. 17) in Thursday's draft. The Raptors will have to throw in at least one other player to make the deal work financially.An issue that could hold up the deal is O'Neal's left knee. O'Neal, who has dealt with injuries the past four seasons, played just 42 games last season. Pacers officials, however, recently said O'Neal's knee is healthy. The six-time All-Star is spending the summer working out in Las Vegas. |

The Pacers have agreed to trade Croshere to the Dallas Mavericks for guard Marquis Daniels, according to people with knowledge of the situation.The deal can't become official until July 12 when teams can complete trades and free agent signings.Croshere was the longest-tenured Pacer, spending nine seasons with the team. He became expendable with the addition of draftee Shawne Williams and with the Pacers trying to become more athletic. Croshere is also entering the final year of his contract. He averaged 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds during his career with the Pacers.Daniels averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in three seasons with the Mavericks.The trade for Daniels is the first of what could be several moves by the Pacers this summer. They're also interested in acquiring former Pacer Al Harrington from the Atlanta Hawks.---------------------------------------------I like the deal. Daniels is a big guard who can defend three spots and can either start or come off the bench. I'm just curious if this means another guard will be on the move. I'm hoping they move Jackson and Tinsley. |

I will be VIP'ing at Jermaine Oneal's new CLUB 7 on the 28th of this month, arriving via limo. I will be taking my cam as this is a birthday party I'm attending and hopefully I'll have some good shots *wink* |

Can someone help me out?How is parking around the arena? Is it in a decent part of town? I assume there'll be garages? How much will that cost?Secondly, what is a good part of town to look for a hotel in? We don't want to end up staying the ghetto if possible. Can anyone suggest a nice part of town to look for a cheap (Super 8, Days Inn, et al) hotel in?How early before the game should we get there? |
