Badass Ravikumar vs Loveyapa box office collection day 5: Himesh Reshammiya, Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor films tank; earn Rs 50 lakh each (original) (raw)
Badass Ravikumar vs Loveyapa Box Office Collection Day 5: Himesh Reshammiya, Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor Films see further dip.
After failing the Monday test miserably, things aren’t looking good for Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Loveyapa and the Himesh Reshammiya-starrer Badass Ravikumar. Both films, which released on the same day, continue their downward spiral. However, Badass Ravikumar is slightly closer to reaching the Rs 10 crore mark than the Junaid Khan-starrer.
According to an early estimate by Sacnilk, both films minted the same amount — Rs 50 lakh — on Tuesday. This brought the total domestic collection of the Himesh Reshammiya-starrer to Rs 7.25 crore, while Loveyapa’s total domestic collection now stands at Rs 5.60 crore.
Badass Ravikumar has been ahead of Loveyapa since its release. On opening day, it minted Rs 2.75 crore, whereas Loveyapa raked in Rs 1.15 crore. Over the weekend, both films failed to make the most of the holiday period. Loveyapa collected Rs 3.40 crore on Saturday and Sunday, while Badass Ravikumar earned Rs 3.4 crore. On Monday, both films saw a sharp decline of around 60 percent—Loveyapa collected Rs 55 lakh, and Badass Ravikumar minted only Rs 60 lakh.
The road ahead doesn’t look promising for either film. While they were in competition with each other, they will now face even tougher competition from Vicky Kaushal’s much-anticipated historical epic action film Chhaava, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. The film features Vicky portraying the role of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Loveyapa marks the first theatrical release for star kids Khushi Kapoor, daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, and Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan. Both had previously made their acting debuts on OTT platforms—Khushi in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies and Junaid in Yash Raj Films’ Maharaj. Meanwhile, Himesh Reshammiya, who made his name in the industry through music, made his acting debut with Aap Kaa Surroor in 2007. Since then, he has starred in various films, including Karzzzz, Radio, The Xposé, and more.
