Hello all!
Reaping the fruits from all my subscriptions to writing-related newsletters. This is my newest:
How to Publish an Ebook
http://www.publishyourownebooks.com/how-to-publish-an-ebook/
Hi all!
The newsletter of http://www.worldwidefreelance.com has directed me to a peculiar little article:
Author opens one-book shop to sell his own work
http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2011/may/09/author-one-book-shop-martian-summer
I just found it a curious piece of information and - possibly - inspiration. I mean, one never knows where the next inspiring idea might come from, right?
I'm joining a poetry community that looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Every week there will be a prompt to write a different type of poem. The winner even gets a prize!
They need some more folks to join before they can get started though. Please consider joining.
_Do You Like To Write?_Like to write? Love writing poetry? Great! There is a new challenge, called lastpoetstandng, where you write a a poem every week based on a different style of poetry prompt! Then they get voted on and the person with the least votes is out that week and the person with the most is safe the next week till you have one author standing who wins! What do you win? A snazzy graphic and a $10 GC to Amazon or Barnes & Noble. You don't even need to be a GREAT writer! ..who will come out on top? |
- Current Mood: hopeful
Speaking of revival: Just for the record I'd like to state that I might be doing many of my posts/mod posts under the name of susaslounge , which is my blog especially dedicated to writing and where I am going to concentrate my writer's entries.
Hi all,
as I am tidying up a bit at home I am also putting several things on ebay, among other things
The Writing Book: A Workbook for Fiction Writers
by Kate Grenville (condition: new)
So, just in case anyone is interested...
I would also like to use this opportunity to encourage you all to use this place if you want to sell anything writing related, books, tools, computer stuff that might be useful etc. For that purpose, I have set up the new tag "Selling".
It has become a bit quiet here, and one of my resolutions for this year is to revive the group, so: Keep posting away! :)
Hello all! :)
My wish to revive this community coincidentally met with my stumbling across this free pdf creator.
I usually tend to shy away from freeware, as I am extremely paranoid about getting viruses onto my pcs. But this one was actually in use in one of the companies I am affiliated with, and I talked with an IT Pro about it... so today I have downloaded it myself and thought that I might not be the only one in need, so here you go:
(Errrm... do I need to state that 1. I do not make any money from this and 2. accept no liabilities whatsoever? ;))
