This paper assesses Stefan Mitrov Ljubisa’s interaction with Italy and Italian culture, history, ... more This paper assesses Stefan Mitrov Ljubisa’s interaction with Italy and Italian culture, history, politics, and language based on archival evidence and sources. It is evident that Ljubisa had great knowledge of Italian culture, especially its language and literature. He translated the poetry of Horatius, Ariosto, and Dante into Montenegrin. Ljubisa had a definite political agenda focused on the attainment of equality of nations and their languages in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Standing up to proponents of Italian autonomy and language hegemony in Dalmatia, he focused on the Slavic culture and raised equality awareness among the Slavs in the Empire.

In this study, the author is dealing with the characteristics of Montenegrin media headline disco... more In this study, the author is dealing with the characteristics of Montenegrin media headline discourse, actually exploring the extent to which the headline discourse is sensationalist and negative. The analysis has included larger and more influential daily newspapers in Montenegro (Pobjeda - pro-government, Vijesti i Dan - pro-opposition) over a period of one month. The paper is based on the assumption that mass media are a factor influencing the culture of a society, but they are also the product of the same culture and society. Given the number of sensationalist headlines published in the monitored newspapers, we recognize a confirmation of the hypotheses that the headline communication culture is at a lower level than expected, that most of these headlines occur in sections on interior politics and society, and that there are differences in preference for certain contents between headlines in Montenegrin daily newspapers.

analysis, whereby its linguistic features relating to vocabulary, grammar
structures, textual and intertextual aspects are investigated using various
methodologies. This paper presents an analysis of political discourse from a
syntactic-semantic point of view. The corpus studied has been extracted from
five. Montenegrin dailies and the analysis attempts to describe the genre as
effectuated in the Montenegrin political discourse. As a result, the functions of
political language are extrapolated and illustrated and its style is described in
terms of intertextuality and other linguistic strategies commonly employed in
political discourse. The paper aims to give a contribution to the understanding
and linguistic profiling of political language.

By analyzing scientific works from the Institute of Foreign Languages, our intention has been to outline the degree to which the characteristics of the discourse are frequented, but also to indicate other specific features of the analyzed discourse.

razvoju jezika i književnosti, proniknuti u politicke, povijesne, kulturne veze Stefana Mitrova Ljubiše sa Crnom
Gorom, te u tom kontekstu uspostaviti odnos prema jezickom nasljeđu, prema jeziku crnogorskih
pisaca Ljubišinih suvremenika, prije svega Njegoša.Analiza pokazuje da su ga od svih veza sa Crnom Gorom –
politickih, vjerskih, kulturnih ‒ s njom najviše povezivali jezik i povijest, motivi i građa za njegova pricanja. Clanak je
fokusiran na istraživanje složenosti odnosa i djelovanja Stefana Mitrova Ljubiše prema Crnoj Gori, a ta veza se ogleda
u obostranoj bezrezervnoj podršci koju je on pružao Crnoj Gori, ali i Crna Gora njemu kada mu je bila najpotrebnija.
