The two youngest are sleeping. I have been cleaning all day and you can't tell after the kids go into a room. But the bath rooms look pretty good still. I scrubbed them. I still have a lot more to do but just don't want to.

Wish I could just get away for a few days and paint. No kids, husband (ok he can come we don't get enough alone time) and just paint listen to music and not have anything I have to do. Or being asked to do something for little ones ever couple minutes. Don't get me wrong I love my kids and love doing things for them. But Even mom needs a break every once in a while.

Up late drawing sketches for my next painting, and for my next tattoo. Having some Bud Light. The kids are all asleep and I am finally enjoying some time to myself. It is a great night.

It has been a long time since I have been on. Around three years. I am surprised I was able to find my old journal.

Life is good. I have four kids now. Two girls and two boys. I just got done painting a couple paintings for a silent auction. I enjoyed painting them and want to paint more. It is just so hard to find time to paint with my four little ones running around.

Up Late

Man this past week has been so long and slow. The whole family has been sick. I got a cold in the beginning that started on Thursday night. But I was able to work. Saturday morning I felt horrible but by noon I was doing better. Then, David started to throw up Saturday night. He also got diarrhea. Bruce started getting it Monday morning and only stayed at work for half the day. Hannah got it Monday night. And didn't go to school on Tuesday. David was getting over it by now but still stayed home with Hannah and daddy. By Tuesday night I got it. But went to work for half a day on Wednesday. Bruce still doesn't feel great but did go to work today. I am better and so are the kids. I up late working on getting the house back to order a little bit. And waiting on a apple crisp to get out of the oven. There is a Thanksgiving dinner at work tomorrow. I just had to make something I should have listened to Bruce. Now all I want to do is go to bed.

But it is almost done and I can sleep soon.

Exterme Makeover Home Edition

Exterme Makeover Home Edition were in Lincoln last week. Bruce and I went to Star Bucks on Friday and two of the designers came in for some coffee. I got to see to of the designers it was great. We left before they did (Bruce didn't work that day) and we put David and Hannah in the van (O ya we got a new van too) by the time I was walking towards work they were walking towards there car and they waved at me. I was smiling and I kept looking at them so they were nice and waved at a fan.

Still it was really cool to see them.

Freelancing

Well I didn't have to go into SRA yesterday. They didn't have enough work to keep me. But I am going in again on Friday. I am a little sad to be home but I love being with David. He is so cute and fun to be around. But it is hard to get work done on the computer with him around. He doesn't like me on the computer.

I am trying fix up my portfolio now that I have been working. I have learned so much in the past few weeks it has been great. They are looking for a Graphic Designer and Production artist. I was suppose to have a interview yesterday but no one told me and no one told the Creative director that I would be gone. So I don't know what will happen.

TV
Bruce and I took the TV out of the living room on Sunday. (not knowing that I would be home part of this week) And we really like having it gone. The kids have been watching to much TV. I had some shows I really like to watch but I have not really missed them now that I don't have the TV out here. I did tape a show on Sunday but it didn't work. I went to check on it fifteen minutes before the show was over so I sat down and watched the last 15 minutes of it. But I have missed Gilmore Girls on Tuesday the last two weeks so I have no idea what is going on there. I will also miss OneTree Hill tonight unless I tape it. We still have two TVs. One in our room but we don't get very good reception and one in the spare room but it is full of stuff and needs to be cleaned out really really bad. That is the room that I squeeze into and record from but it doesn't work very well. I might try and record my show tonight and watch it just before bed. But who knows.

Well I need to get busy.

Freelancing

on Wednesday of this week I received a call from Bruce. His work (Swanson Russell Assoc.) was swamped with work and needed a freelancer. So they asked him to see if I could come in that day and help out. So I worked Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. I am also going to go in Monday and Tuesday of next week for sure. Wednesday is up in the air at this point in time.

I have loved every minute of it. I am picking up everything really quick. Bruce and I are in the same room so if I have any questions I can just ask him. I even was able to design a small post card that went with a promotional piece. The art director on that piece has told Bruce and Linda (she is in traffic, she decides what work goes where) that he really likes working with me. He also told Bruce last week that he liked my work in my leave behind. So that is all good news. I don't think I will be asked to work full time anytime soon but the busy season is coming up quite and they have already lost one freelancer because she moved and another because she is pregnant and due very soon. So all good things for me.
