The importance of this dissertation lies in the circumstances of the current transient period of ... more The importance of this dissertation lies in the circumstances of the current transient period of the Iranian society which requires academic treatment. The question of this research is about the role of communicative rationality in the production of political thought and the hypothesis proposed is that the creation and development of communicative rationality is the sufficient condition for the production of contemporary political thought. The study of this hypothesis is done on the basis of deep hermeneutic method. And studying the circumstances of political thought production requires macro and micro-level interpretation.
The macro-level study of political thought deals with the study of cultural world, but the micro level one is about linguistic elements and knowledge structure. The contemporary speech scholars have not been successful in studying the Iranian cultural world due to reasons such as lack of consent on the subject matters and problems of political thought in the transient period and a definition of its status, lack of consent in determining the scope of dialogue, and the insufficiency of projects and plans presented. Thus they cannot propose a comprehensive and efficient interpretation of the constructive atmosphere of political thought. At the micro level, the results of the present study show that there is no dialogue between the traditional and modern components of knowledge levels of the cultural world. Despite all these, the contemporary speech scholars provided the cultural world with many achievements such as drawing attentions towards the importance of language in modern political thought, the necessity of adopting a philosophical approach to study it, the importance of a deep and exact understanding of tradition and modernity, presenting a philosophical interpretation of the 'transient' situation, and finally being involved in contemplation over politics as an academic activity.
The present critical study has paved the way for a number of future studies: expansion of comparative, interdisciplinary, and inter-sub-cultural studies in the realm of sub-cultural world; and adopting a meta-sub-cultural world approach towards the Iranian new cultural world.

Sayyed Abd ai-Husayn Sharaf al-Din was a personage in the Islamic Modernism period. He directly experienced the dictatorship in Lebanon and the colonization of France. Therefore, his political thought was a reflection of contemporary Islamic reaction about Islamic identity. He maintained that dictatorship and colonization affect contemporary Moslem communities. He declared that the cure for dictatorship in Lebanon is the unity of the nation and the cure for colonialism is firstly achieving unity among Moslem communities and secondly holding dialogue Shi`i and Sunni Moslems.
This book familiarizes yon with Sharaf al-Din's life and time, the foundations of his political thought, the way of overthrowing dictatorship and ending colonialism, the key of importance of Moslem unity in the situation of Islamic awakening, the issue of dialogue among Moslems and the workable technique for holding it among them.

During the past 150 years, there has been a widespread concentration on women studies in the Isla... more During the past 150 years, there has been a widespread concentration on women studies in the Islamic world. To understand the different stages of the development of these studies, the present paper presents a primary classification of all the Islamic studies, with an emphasis on twentieth century writers, in the field of women’s issues. These studies are basically classified under the two rubrics of fundamentalist and intellectualist approaches. The fundamentalist approach, being under the influence of the thoughts of modernist islamic scholars, is itself divided into the neo-salafi and the ‘edjtihādi [jurisprudential] approaches. The noe-salafis, like Seyyed Ghotb, tried to solve women’s problems by resorting to kitāb [Koran] and the heritage of the predecessors [salaf], while the ‘edjtihādis, like Morteza Motahhari, Shams-addin, and Fazlollah,
The scope of the Islamic scholars` different attitudes towards the modern world. The manner of the application of Islamic teachings, and the challenges arising from newly occurring subjects has influenced on women`s issues too. In the first part of the paper, published in the previous issue. These studies were classified under the fundamentalist and the intellectualist approaches. Concerning women`s issues, the fundamentalists adopted a cautious reaction to the modernist developments in the West whereas the intellectualists attitude towards women`s issues is influenced by the Western modernity and feminism. In this part of the paper, the intellectualist approach is examined under the two categories of modernists and epistemologists. Islamic modernists` stance towards women`s issues is shaped by their criticism of the traditional approaches and admittance of the Western modern teachings. Under the influence of the recent developments in epistemology. Islamic epistemologists, maintaining the historicity of the religious texts, have tried to present new interpretations of Islamic teachings.

It claims that the epistemology reason why Islamic philosophy is not productive in socio-political domain knowledge is the lack of attention to defining philosophical models as intermediary between transcendental philosophy and political Sciences. Using a documentary method, it studies the possibility of political Sciences on the basis of transcendental philosophy. The conclusion drawn can be used in the philosophy of social sciences and the methodology of social sciences.

According to the article, the two theories of "lawful constitutionalism monarchy" are considered as new theories in the tradition of Shiite jurisprudence developed against one another in the tradition of Shiite jurisprudence in constitutionalism period. It seeks to clarify the most prevalent methodological assumptions which are necessary for the political interpretation of the Qur`an. To this end, the article appeals to the means of the "interpretational" methodology and the documentary research method. The article claims that the explanations of the interpreters of the Qur`an about the political subjects follow a nummber of meta-commentary assumptions, which have been clarified through the article. The results of this article can facilitate the concerning the political interpretation of the Qur`an, methodologies of the sacred text and the Qur`anic khowlage.

The political thought of Iran can be divided into two parts: the old and the new. The new era of ... more The political thought of Iran can be divided into two parts: the old and the new. The new era of the Iranian political thought started 150-year-old period, Iran has witnessed three strands to its political thought. First, developmentalist political thought, which started with Iranian' familiarity with the West and lasted until the World War II. That strand to the political thought in that time was mainly concerned with compensation for political retardation, development through constitutionalism and he establishment of a constitutional government. The second was the identitist political thought , which started from the World War II and still continues. This strand is primarily involved in creating the Iranian identity in general and the political identity in particular. The third is the contemporary political thought, which has focused on the issues of tradition and modernity and academic intermixture of the two. This thought was brought up by a group of Iranian intellectuals in the 1370s. The present paper tries to identity this new political thought in Iran.

Their purpose would become very different when they are speaking about religious democracy so that the argument of one doesn’t deny the claim of another. Also the conceptualization of religious democracy based on the different religious understanding and then the possibility of dialogue and communication between is making impossible. The Classical foundations of democracy are questioned by postmodern, Feminism and globalization in recent decades too. Thus the emergence of theories of d religious democracy depends on solving these problems.

Also there are a dispersed set of interviews with teachers of this field like that those have published in “Political Science Quarterly”. But in record of these studies and also in review of development of this field after the Islamic revolution is not examined its expansion in Hawza of Qum. This season is important for its methodical approach to political biography of Prophet Mohammad. The main question of this chapter from viewpoint of philosophy of history and philosophy of social science is concerned directly to biography of Prophet Mohammad and history of Islam. Some of the issues related to the nature facts of Islamic history and some of the other issues are contact with the relationship between identity of “being Muslim”, knowledge and understanding. Contemporary Islamic philosophical thought has this basic characteristic that it is proposed with regarding to developments in contemporary philosophical West. It is evident that the philosophical works of this sort are limited and further present a compound view such as philosophical-theological view or philosophical-jurisprudence view. But Mohammad Hussein Tabatabaei and Mehdi Haeri are two main figures of philosophical view. . It is evident that efforts of Mortaza Motahari and Abdolah Javadi are very important to development of Tabatabaei School. This chapter studies the nature of political knowledge and mechanism of advent and development of epistemological propositions in philosophical view according to Tabatabaei, Haeri and Motahari doctrines.

The world with features such as global compression of time and space, social international migration, reducing the power the nation – states, the appearance and strengthening of centrifugal forces, establishment of virtual communities, and so forth. Although Islam is the religion appeared fourteen century ago, but its global perspective is able to adapt with conditions of early decades of this millennium. This chapter has been described and interpreted the situation of Muslims and Muslim communities in the first two decades of the current millennium and also has expressed Muslims efforts to continue their identity and their life in new conditions.

The scope of the Islamic scholars` different attitudes towards the modern world. The manner of the application of Islamic teachings, and the challenges arising from newly occurring subjects has influenced on women`s issues too. In the first part of the paper, published in the previous issue. These studies were classified under the fundamentalist and the intellectualist approaches. Concerning women`s issues, the fundamentalists adopted a cautious reaction to the modernist developments in the West whereas the intellectualists attitude towards women`s issues is influenced by the Western modernity and feminism. In this part of the paper, the intellectualist approach is examined under the two categories of modernists and epistemologists. Islamic modernists` stance towards women`s issues is shaped by their criticism of the traditional approaches and admittance of the Western modern teachings. Under the influence of the recent developments in epistemology. Islamic epistemologists, maintaining the historicity of the religious texts, have tried to present new interpretations of Islamic teachings.

During the past 150 years, there has been a widespread concentration on women studies in the Islamic world. To understand the different stages of the development of these studies, the present paper presents a primary classification of all the Islamic studies, with an emphasis on twentieth century writers, in the field of women’s issues. These studies are basically classified under the two rubrics of fundamentalist and intellectualist approaches. The fundamentalist approach, being under the influence of the thoughts of modernist islamic scholars, is itself divided into the neo-salafi and the ‘edjtihādi [jurisprudential] approaches. The neo-salafis, like Seyyed Ghotb, tried to solve women’s problems by resorting to kitāb [Koran] and the heritage of the predecessors [salaf], while the ‘edjtihādis, like Morteza Motahhari, Shams-addin, and Fazlollah, in addition to emphasizing the texts ]nosus], considered credibility for reason, as well. The intellectualist approach will be presented in the next issue of the quarterly.

This understanding is important to receive a universal consensus on “the universal declaration of human rights”. Claimant of this essay is that there are some civilizational differences between Islamic view and contemporary human rights. Then the universal declaration of human rights is not so universal. ”. Protecting of human generosity and avoiding from international disputes are theoretical and practical outcomes of this article.
