Wayang Beber as an artwork of the original tradition of Pacitan contains local wisdom. Preservati... more Wayang Beber as an artwork of the original tradition of Pacitan contains local wisdom. Preservation efforts, research, creation of wayang shape development, performances, and other alternative efforts can improve the tourism sector in the Pacitan region. Wayang Beber in this study was used as a source of ideas in the creation of the iconic Pacitan as a city of tourism. This applied research aims to produce design works, artworks in the form of metal-based reliefs and sculptures, and their representations as exterior works. As an alternative chosen Naladerma who refers to Wayang Beber for one of the iconic designs of the Pacitan city of Tourism. The method of creating this work with a hermeneutical approach was carried out using an interactive model. The process of research and creation of craftworks goes through stages: problem identification, planning, design drawings, trials in the form of reliefs and sculptures based on metal craft. Naladerma figures were chosen as an alternative icon that was combined with the gunungan puppet motif and complementary decorative motifs. Materials, equipment, manufacturing processes, the meaning of reliefs and the meaning of the statue of Naladerma will also be explained in more detail.

The development of the Hallyu, or Korean Wave, has an impact on product advertising in Indonesia,... more The development of the Hallyu, or Korean Wave, has an impact on product advertising in Indonesia, which uses many actors and discourses brought from Korean culture.Starting from this it turns out that growing questions about the possibility of Korean Wave can shape new consumption interests and behaviors that have an interest in Korea. The study, entitled Korean Drama Discourse in the Sprite ad version "Kenyataan Gak Kayak Drama Korea" is an advertisement for Sprite beverage products identified using Korean drama discourse with humor at the end of the story. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research supported by a theoretical basis, namely the structure of advertising discourse to dismantle Korean drama discourse on the Sprite advertisement version "Kenyataan Gak Kayak Drama Korea" using the concept of fashion as communication and storyline and location settings to be peeled off per scene advertisement. The discourse structure of advertising in this study will be explained in three parts, namely the main items of advertising, advertising agencies and closing advertisements. The results of this study indicate that in the version of the Sprite advertisement "Kenyataan Gak Kayak Drama Korea" there is a Korean drama discourse displayed on the advertising body, which functions as an advertisement explanatory item that is a message from a Sprite advertisement that "Nyatanya Nyegerin" can be well received by prospective customers.

More than six billion people use mobile phones nowadays. These devices and platforms are very inherent in human life today and become tools to help or facilitate human life, including working activities. One of them is in the field of journalism, and it is reflected in the journalism curriculum taught at colleges and universities across the country. This study uses action research to evaluate mobile and social media journalism classes at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. This study aims to know students' level of understanding and ability related to mobile and social media journalism and the final result or evaluation of the course. This research uses surveys from 87 students; then, the result was explored by conducting in-depth interviews with unique students. The result indicates that students who have taken the mobile and social media journalism course already can use mobile devices and social media platforms. The posters and banners used in the student's demonstration in front of the DPR-MPR build... more The posters and banners used in the student's demonstration in front of the DPR-MPR building last September 24, 2019 contain funny sentences and invite attention of the society. The choice of words used in the poster is very different from student demonstration posters that were carried out in 1998. This research aims to explore in more detail the factors that influence the Z generation to create style of language in the demonstration poster. This study is included in qualitative research using Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which will be conducted among students of selected demonstration participants using purposive sampling. The FGD results in the form of qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis methods. The results of this research reveal that the situation of the countries in the two eras, the development of Pop culture as well as social media play an important role in this revolution. This study shows that the choice of words in the student demonstration poster is influenced by social, cultural, and technological factors. Although the message in the poster seems simple, indeed it reflects the characteristics of Z generation that are different from previous generations. In responding to the distinctive style of Z generation, the author recommends to lecturer and stakeholders to be more adaptive, even though the content is simple and seems funny, in fact the substance of the message is very deep and tends to be metaphoric.

Competition to attract consumer attention through television advertising is getting tighter. Ad d... more Competition to attract consumer attention through television advertising is getting tighter. Ad designers are required to develop creative strategies to get consumers' attention. This research examines landmarks as a creative strategy for the advertisement of Teh Botol Sosro, the Unique Version of the Country which was produced by 25 Frames to attract the attention of television audiences. Observations and documentation, as well as in-depth interviews with the Art Director and the Director of Photography were carried out to obtain valid data from the ad designers. By applying the SWOT concept and Madjadikara's television ad design process, it can be understood that the creative process of designing a teh botol sosro advertisement. The results showed that the big idea of using landmarks was obtained from the client brief process which was followed up in the creative brief process to get a more mature concept to fit the tagline "Whatever ... Drinking Teh Botol Sosro"...

Radio and television are broadcasting medias which are efisien to reach large audiences. Media has a big attention for disaster, such as earthquake that happened in Yogyakarta. Disaster usually creates uncertain situation. It is also as a big news to be broadcasted by the media. Media must have a control function for the government and social institutions. National television is also limited in spreading/broadcasting informations in a long duration because the television must give an up to date information or we call it a hot news.
