غالبا ما تكون البلدان التي تقع بين حواف حضارات مختلفة بلدانا بفسيفساء ثقافية وهوياتية هجينة ومختل... more غالبا ما تكون البلدان التي تقع بين حواف حضارات مختلفة بلدانا بفسيفساء ثقافية وهوياتية هجينة ومختلفة وهذا ما من شأنه أن يقودها إلى أن تمر بالكثير من التحورات والانسلاخات سواءا كانت إيجابية أو سلبية. وخير مثال على هذا هو تركيا وهي ذلك البلد لا يزال يبحث عن تحديد مكانته في الخارطة الثقافية العالمية، ولا يزال يسعى لتحديد فيما إذا كان بلدا شرقيا خياليا أو بلدا أوربيا كما اصطلح على ذلك الكواكبي. وسنتناول في هذه المقالة ظاهرة بزغت في تركيا كنتاج لهذا وهو فن موسيقي هجين يدعى بموسيقى الأرابيسك. وسنتطرق في هذا المنشور باختصار إلى هذا الفن حتى يتسنى للقارئ مقارنته بالفنون الشعبية الأخرى التي ما فتئت تظهر ويأفل نجمها في البلدان العديدة.

مما لاشك فيه أن العربية اكتسبت خلال السنوات الأخيرة مكانة مهمة في عموم تركيا لعدة أسباب من بينها ... more مما لاشك فيه أن العربية اكتسبت خلال السنوات الأخيرة مكانة مهمة في عموم تركيا لعدة أسباب من بينها الحراك السياسي الذي أحاط ولا يزال يحيط بتركيا على الصعيد المحلي و الجهوي والدولي منه. حيث نشاهد بشكل واضح أن البلدان العربية المتاخمة لحدود تركيا على غرار سوريا والعراق ومصر باتت تعاني من أزمات سياسية حادة أدت بكثير من مواطنيها إلى الهجرة نحو تركيا ساعين نحو غد أو حتى يوم أفضل بعيدا عن الاضطهاد والتيه السياسي الذي تعاني منه هذه البلدان. فقد جاء العرب وجاءت معهم العربية وازدادت أهميتها و تولدت هناك قيمة مضافة للمشهد التركي و يتضح هذا الأمر من خلال المدارس التي تعنى بتدريس العربية للناطقين بغيرها. وهذا الأمر يدفعنا للتساؤل عن ماهية العربية التي صاحبت العرب إلى تركيا: هل هي تلك العربية الفصيحة أو تلك الرطانة التي يتحدثون بها في بلدانهم. و سنحاول من خلال هذه المقالة أن نلقي الضوء على واقع العربية في تركيا من وجهة نظر لسانية موضوعية مسلطين الضوء على العربية الفصحى واللهجات المنبثقة عنها.

Türkiye, gelişen ekonomisi ve artan demokrasisi, ayrıca siyasi gücü ile büyük bir ülke olmuştur. Aynı zamanda Türkiye, göç veren bir ülkeden giderek göç cezbeden bir ülkeye dönüşmektedir. Netice olarak kamu politikaları bu gelişmelerden daha fazla etkilenecektir. Kamu yönetimlerinin her kademesi de sorumluluk alanlarına göre göçün çeşitli boyutları ve alanları ile ilgilenmek durumunda olacaktır. Türkiye’den veya Türkiye’ye 4 farklı göç çeşitliliğinden bahsedilebilir. İç göç köyden şehre, doğudan batıya demektir. İkinci kitle ise, yurt dışına göçtür. Üçüncü kitle, transit veya geçiş göçtür. Dördüncü kitle, uluslararası bir göçtür. Bu konuşmada esasen Türkiye’yi hedefleyen göç hareketleri kapsamında geçici veya kalıcı olarak Türkiye’ye yerleşen yabancılara bazı hizmetlerin sunulmasında yerel yönetimlerin durumu incelenmektedir. perceived it as the most suitable political and economic model. Accordingly, After the split with the Arab
Countries, Turkey turned into a secular and democratic country unlike the Arab states who remained
Islamic and non-democratic i (Bauer, 2012) and by that the Arab states represented the alter ego of it as
they were what Turkey was not what it wants to be. This has led to many twists between Turkey and
Arab relations that were characterized by mutual distrust. While the Arab regimes were being toppled
down one after another in the recent years, Turkey found itself vacillating between either protecting its
interests way or helping scaffold the increasing need of democracy promotion in these countries that
share with it cultural, historical, and geographical commonalities. Certainly, every choice has its trade-
offs that will inevitably affect Turkey in the internal or external scope. A central claim in this context is
that although these ties that bind Turkey with the Arab world, these relations cannot be seen and
looked at from a simplistic approach due to the overlapping dimensions and the different perspectives
the status quo it keeps gaining especially with the crazed Arab Spring aftermaths. What I’m trying to
argue for is that recent reengagement of Turkey in The Middle East reflects a policy of re-questing this
region that once used to be ruled by Ottoman. Within that context, is Turkey trying to conduct an
expansionist mercantilist-based campaign in The Middle East or it’s trying to reach out to this region so
it can fulfill its global mission it shares with many of The Middle East countries. We put forward that
Turkey’s actions interest-based more than they are identity-based ones.

The aim of the plan is to increase the sales of Bosch Power Tools at Grainger website with 10% by designing a multi-channel digital campaign. In order to do that, we start by defining and identifying both companies, defining the trend of their industries, and describing their digital assets. Given the three scenarios given of the potential customers, we will place these customers in their respective phase of Consumer Decision Journey (CDJ) in order to come with a marketing objective for each scenario and be able to conduct the necessary measures. After defining that, we will define and identify the data we need for the marketing objectives and the method we will be adopting for collecting the data. To analyze the data, we will need to adopt a blend of the known analysis known including descriptive, inferential, exploratory, causal and predictive. The next stage will be to set up the channel and content strategies for this digital marketing plan that includes the tone of the copy as well as and the general philosophy of the content that will be deployed. Finally in the test and control we will set research objectives that would serve as a benchmark in order to test, evaluate, monitor the success and failure of the digital marketing plan and adapt it accordingly.

opportunities, and threats facing it. Upon completing the analysis, one of the weaknesses will be
systematically and logically dissected in order to come up with an action plan that may eliminate
or mitigate the weakness and the possibly to turn it into an opportunity. The report will start with
the description where a brief introduction will be provided about the institution, its main
characteristics within the framework of SWOT and presenting the weakness that will be
analyzed. The section of discussion will takcle a weakness that will undergo an in-depth
problem-solving procedures by deploying reliable and valid methods based on the available
primary and secondary research and striving on to turn it from burden into either a strength or
an opportunity. The conclusion will sum up the outcomes attained so far by giving a succinct
synopsis of what was mentioned. In the recommendations section, we will provide an action
plan to follow up based on the outcomes that we have reached and we will propose some
policies and measures to be taken in order for that to take effect practically.

Widdowson (B.1935), one of the pioneer scholars in language teaching and learning methodologies. His main field is applied linguistics and what relates to it. The book is mainly designed for people who don’t have previous knowledge of linguistics and those who want to know what this field is about. The book is divided into sections that are meant to be kickstarters for people who are not familiar with the field of Linguistics. With this target audience, the author has achieved great deal of his objectives by conveying the meaning of linguistics to the laymen and its probable applications in other related fields such as computational linguistics, sociology, etc.

Né à Constantine durant la colonisation française de l'Algérie, une période qui a duré plus de 130 ans où le peuple Algérien avait vécu une ère d'anéantissement de ses valeurs dont la religion et la langue étaient les premières cibles de l'attaque. Malek Bennabi en étant le témoin, avait dû s'efforcer pour sortir la société de cette torpeur qui a profondément affecté l'ossature du raisonnement algérien au point qu'il a transformé d'une société colonisée vers une société colonisable selon la terminologie du penseur Malek dans ce livre '' Problème des Idées dans le Monde Musulman''. Le thème principal qu'il traite est l'analogie du phénomène de la colonisabilité et du colonialisme. Comme nous le verrons dans ce résumé, le problème de la colonisabilité d'un tel pays n'est que l'ébauche d'une colonisation à long terme sous différentes formes.

The audience is policy analysts, academics, and policy advisers. The guide comes along with the series of Open Society Foundation (formerly Open Society Institute) which is an international grant making network founded by George Soros. The guide is divided into 06 chapters thematically arranged as follows: The definition of public policy community, the policy making process, an overview of the policy paper, the structural and textual elements of policy papers, dissemination of the policy paper and authorship; and concluding remarks along with recommendations. Undoubtedly, governments and institutions are no longer depending on seating on the pants planning and management but rather they are increasingly moving toward more informed governance by deploying a wide range of resources and methods that aim to involve every related stakeholder to carry out the tasks they were assigned whether explicitly or implicitly. This will certainly make those who are still dependent on the intuition as a primary source of inspiration lag behind. A recent study carried out by Middle East Development Network [MDN] and Sabr Center has shown that 41% of MENA NGO's have Planning and Decision-Making Support divisions. Reflecting on 1 that, the problems we are facing nowadays are not uni-layered and cannot only be tackled through a mono-disciplinary perspective but they rather have to be dealt with multi disciplinarily mindset so to come up with more sustainable solutions and a genesis of autonomous initiatives. Meyers is a professor at Massachusetts University where he teaches Linguistics to students aspiring to teach English as a second language. The book is designed for first year students, per se, so as to give them a strong introductory about Linguistics and therefore serves as a guideline for them and also as a course book for teachers. For beginners, it is a perfect first to-start-with with the author aiming to convey most of the basic notions related to Linguistics that students need to know. The book is also designed as self-study work with the activities that are introduced by the end of each chapter. These activities are instrumental for students to check their understanding and grasp of the topic. The book even goes further by offering further reading at the end of each chapter for those who want to go deeper and find more information; however, I think that the author digressed in offering these suggested extensive reading which will likely to leave the reader, especially the beginner, perplexed on what reading needs more attention. It would have been better if the author has provided some required reading at the beginning including articles, online videos, etc to increase the chance of reading them by students. Having said that, the book won’t be too much beneficial for students who are already familiar with basic terms of Linguistics and they may find the book a bit simplistic in its structure except for some of the activities that they may enjoy while practicing their knowledge.

يعد كتاب "طبائع الاستبداد ومصارع الاستعباد" لمؤلفه عبد الرحمان الكواكبي، المفكر الإسلامي المشهور ... more يعد كتاب "طبائع الاستبداد ومصارع الاستعباد" لمؤلفه عبد الرحمان الكواكبي، المفكر الإسلامي المشهور والذي عاش خلال القرن العشرين، من بين الكتب التي لا تزال قائمة وصالحة لكثير من معطيات الوقت الحالي، إذ إنه يتحدث عن ظاهرة ما تزال الأمة العربية ترزح تحت أغلالها والتي تتجلى بوضوح في الكثير من الحكام المستبدين الذين أهدروا مقومات شعوبهم وأوطانهم وحولوها إلى ركام إنساني لا يأتمر إلا بما يراه الحاكم صائبا ولايرى إلا بعين هذا الحاكم، لاغين بذلك ذواتهم، وطموحاتهم وآرائهم جملة وتفصيلا إلا ما وافق هوى الطبقة الحاكمة... وتستمر حكاية المستبد والأسير إلى أن يرث الله الأرض ومن عليها. كان قد عرض علينا مقتطف من كتاب "الطبائع" ونحن طلاب في الثانوية بشعبة الآداب، وكغيرنا من الطلاب، كنا نمر على المعاني التي كان يحويها هذا المقتطف مرور اللغويين لا مرور أهل البحث والتمحيص، وماكان هذا إلا تمثيل وتصوير جلي لمظاهر الاستبداد وتبعاته التي تحدث عنها الكواكبي وحذر منها كما سنرى في ما سيأتي في الملخص. و سيلاحظ من يقرأ الكتاب لأول مرة خاصة إن كان متابعا للشؤون السياسية التي تحيط بالمسلمين عامة والعرب منهم خاصة، فسيرى لا محالة إسقاطات كثيرة لأمور ذكرها الكواكبي والتي أصبحت من يوميات واقعنا المعيش.هذا وإن فحوى الكتاب تتمحور حول تأصيل الاستبداد بذكر حده، وأعراضه، وأسبابه، والنتائج التي أوصل إليها من أصابهم سواء على المستوى الفردي، أو المجتمعي.

One of the phenomena in Arabic language that has received few attention is allophony in classical... more One of the phenomena in Arabic language that has received few attention is allophony in classical Arabic. One of the forms of classical Arabic that escaped change is Quran due to its sacred character that has contributed to its protection. In other words, scriptures of Quran can be considered as a linguistic museum of Arabic and how it sounded in early days. With Arabic being one of the most prominent languages in the semitic family, there are, however, no fully-fledged phonetic transcription of Quran except for some promising attempts conducted by some scholars (Altınbaşı, 2016) who have tried to systematize segmental and suprasegmental features of Arabic positing a new model that may stimulate serious research in this field given the shortage of empirical studies in this discipline. One of the suprasegmental phenomena that reiterate in Quran very often is the allophony which is considered to be the yardstick for recitation of Quran. Nevertheless, IPA alphabet seem to lack some inherent structures to reflect an accurate reflection of how the production of these sounds is made. Interestingly, during some reviewing of a colleague who was working on the suprasegmentals of Quran using elicitation, we considered to provide an account in this case to reflect on that phenomena introspectively from a native speaker point of view. What we are trying to shed light on here is how to represent the allophonic phenomenon more accurately in Quran in relation to the already existing IPA conventions and what kind propositions that can be brought forward in order to compensate for the lack of research in that field as well as suggesting some rules that govern allophony in the context of Quranic pronunciation. It is hoped that this paper will direct more serious work from scholars to systematize the suprasegmental and segmental phenomenon and eventually be able to reflect that on Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). This will have the potential to create a paradigm shift on how Arabic is taught in terms of its sound systems knowing that acquiring the sound of second language has been proved to be one of the most challenging stage in learning a foreign language and if any prints of L1 that would stay in the second language it would be in the way how we pronounce that language, namely, " fossilization ". The findings would serve as a baseline that aim to help syllabi and curricula design in an informed way based on a clear Arabic phonetic system. This eventually gives a sound toolbox for linguists and education stakeholders as well.
