Political approaches are related to the regulation of norms required for an organized state and p... more Political approaches are related to the regulation of norms required for an organized state and people, political authority, and political administration. In the study, the historical development of political approaches was examined and a model was developed to investigate their reflections on new media. The model; a) personal characteristics that political leaders should have, b) characteristics of behaviors, emotions, and attitudes that political leaders should have, c) rules and criteria reflected on new media for political leaders, d) behaviors, attitudes, thoughts, and actions of the concept of people in the political environment, e) effects of capitalist and liberal new media on politics, and f) political oppositions are created in elections. The research aims to examine, investigate, and describe the reflections of the political system, political party, and political leader characteristics explained in the works of thinkers working on political approaches on new media. Descriptive and documented examination methods were used in the study. According to the results of the research, presidential candidates who will manage the political system may not have the characteristics that political leaders should have; b) Political leaders implement policies in line with the demands of power relations rather than the behavior, feelings, attitudes and expectations of the people; c) The economic conditions of political subjects reduce their effectiveness in the political arena or may enable them to be more active; d) The health conditions of political actors, the legal, financial, social and psychological conditions they experience, the rhetoric, aesthetic and political styles they have and use are the rules and criteria for political actors to explain themselves to and persuade their voters; e) Global capital groups want to direct politics in order to increase their own profits; f) The people, political subjects, in other words, voters are politicized through binary oppositions in the media. The study is important in terms of showing the reflections of political approaches, thoughts, concepts, theories and norms on the media.
