Saipem is a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore. Saipem is “One Company” organized into five business lines - Asset Based Services, Energy Carriers, Offshore Wind, Sustainable Infrastructures, Robotics & Industrialized Solutions. The company has 8 fabrication yards and an offshore fleet of 21 construction vessels (of which 17 owned and 4 owned by third parties and managed by Saipem) and 15 drilling rigs, of which 9 owned. What a productive time we had at Gastech! We engaged with industry stakeholders to discuss how we contribute to delivering natural gas, LNG, and low carbon solutions. At our booth, we showcased the Castorone model, one of the largest and most technologically advanced pipelaying vessels from our fleet, alongside cutting-edge technologies like Bluenzymeᵀᴹ, our enzymatic carbon capture solution. During the strategic and technical conferences, we actively participated in discussions on decarbonisation solutions, including green hydrogen, and addressed key topics from underwater drones for remote operations to the crucial role of procurement in achieving Scope 3 emission targets. Our Milan and Fano offices opened to our families! This year's edition “Ingeniously” celebrated the creative ingenuity of Saipem people through numerous workshops and interactive activities to stimulate the imagination and inventiveness of young guests. It was a special opportunity to show the workplace to our loved ones and proudly share Saipem's most precious values: health and safety, environmental protection, diversity, and inclusion. Under the existing Long-Term Agreement with Saudi Aramco, we have been awarded an approximately 2 billion USD offshore contract to develop the Marjan field in Saudi Arabia. Our scope of work involves the EPCI of wellhead platforms’ topsides, wellhead platforms’ jackets, tie-in platform jacket and topside, rigid flowlines, submarine composite cables and fiber optic cables. We will deploy our local offshore fleet and advanced welding technology and leverage our engineering expertise. The fabrication activities will be executed at the Saudi fabrication yard Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators Co. Ltd (STAR), located in Dammam, further enhancing the local content and developing the capabilities of the local industry.
